A pleasant surprise! We were driving by and definitely would not have tried this place based on the appearance; looks like it used to be a convenience store. So glad I read other reviews and gave them a chance… This little take out restaurant has a great menu selection of sandwiches, salads and other specials that change weekly. They also have a great selection of interesting beer, wine and sodas. We tried the bison burger and bistro chicken sandwich today and will be going back soon for more.

This place is great. Excellent food and very cool staff. Burgers are exceptional, steak and cheese was great as well. Good bottled beers as well. Mostly carryout service — just a couple tables.

Best soda selection I’ve seen. I wanted to buy like fifty different bottles while I was there. Also: they sell Bawls! So hard to find that anymore outside of Microcenter. Sandwiches were pretty tasty. Everything came with a side, but the side was just a couple of bites so that was disappointing. Grabbed a six dollar bag of imported British Guinness chips(so good). This place was totally in the middle of nowhere. Strictly take-out. I would never have heard about it or found it if I didn’t know the area or if I hadn’t seen it advertised on the«Visit St. Mary’s» page. I’m planning on attending St. Mary’s in a year so will be coming back for my caffeine fix.

Decided on a whim to stop here. I really wanted a burger. I got the SIGS burger with bacon and an egg. Holy cow. It was amazing! The staff was very friendly too. I wish I had known about this place sooner. I will definitely be back, and I’ll bring friends.

So I dropped into SIGS after I saw their set up at the local Christmas Village. They had an array of specialty sodas and the food smelled great. One weekend my wife wanted a spicy ginger ale, so we knew where to go. When I walked in I disnt know what to expect. There are no tables, this is not an eat in restaurant. The owner was very helpful and let have me some insight on which brands were more and less spicy. A few weeks later, working down at Webster Field, I decided to grab a sandwich. Their Reuben was delicious. The sandwich was loaded, and the orzo pasta was a nice new side to a deli sandwich. SIGS advertises a large catering business they run, so if you have any upcoming events I would look into them. Their dinner specials look amazing too! I’ll edit this review when I try some other items.

Stopped here after Jim at Slack Winery mentioned that Inigoes does the catering for events at the tasting room. A very interesting little shop with quite the assortment of beverages — both alcoholic and non. The young guy at the counter knew a lot about the beverages so it will make for a great spot to pick up interesting beers. We didn’t have any food, so we will have to do that next time and post a review — sounds like the food is a real plus. The menu certainly looked extensive. A few basic grocery needs including some cheese, crackers, chocolates and snack items. Could be a great spot to get picnic items! Will stop again next time we are down in St Mary’s.

It is one of the few places to eat in the area but it is very good. They have a wide range of food that mostly includes wraps and sandwiches. Their Reuben is typically very good although the bread gets soggy by the time I get back to work(there is no place to sit and eat there). Their wraps are always very good and their sides are fairly good. I usually get the potato salad but be warned the portion of the sides are fairly small. I have few complaints. Sometimes the wait can get very long if you don’t call ahead. Sometimes if you call ahead the wait can still be long as well. The other complaint I have is about the cheese in their wraps. They use good meat with interesting condiments such as smoked tomato mayo but they toss the cheap, processed, orange American cheese on the wraps. It seems that they take the extra effort to craft a great sandwich but they throw the cheapest, most generic cheese on it. The place can get pricey as well. Luckily, the food is good. They also have a large selection of craft beers.

What an unexpected spot. A nice quiet place with excellent beef brisket and BBQ pork. Plus enough wine and beer for those lazy days at the park.

Went the first time and it was the best Ruben ever! Second time same thing! Took friends and family the next couple of times and it was horrible! Not as much meat and they didn’t even cut it up… took a friend for her birthday and asked for them to cut up meat. They minced the meat to the point it had barley any on our sandwiches! Also bought Italian pasta that was buy one get one free and they charged me full price! Not driving 30 mins for 5 bucks but won’t go out of my way every week to eat here. Lost a weekly customer… so long! –changing my review and giving 3 stars for now. I am pleased with the fact the owners care enough to write a reply and try to fix the issue.

Shortly slight of perfection, this sandwich shop & beer purveyor meets the requirements of both a gourmand & a regular Joe. On the recommendation from Woodlawn Plantation, we drove over from St. George Island, and weren’t disappointed. Have a stuffed ham Reuben upon return, with marble rye that doesn’t become soggy, and then you’ll understand. All eight sandwiches stood the travel test. Beer selection is killer. Encourage them to carry more MD&DC beer, by buying it. Sides are the let-down. Don’t expect anything. Slaw is tragic. Potato salad is sweet. I think these people are of the delusion that«salad dressing» and/or Hellmans are bringing out the best. These should be savory items. Consider Duke’s mayonnaise. After all, we are in the South.

Have been to this place several times looking for a specialty beer and they never disappoint. They have breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They sell meats and cheeses by the pound. My favorite is their beef and cheese with their orzo pasta side and a pickle slice. Comes with a side of au jus as well. This place is out of the way for most but worth the 10 mile drive for the beer lovers and food adventurers.

I am so glad I decided to take a drive this morning and stop here for breakfast! First things first: the scrapple, egg and cheese on an English muffin I ordered was stellar. Huge sandwich, everything was perfectly cooked, and it’s hands down the best breakfast sandwich in the area. They’ll configure it however you’d like, and they have a great selection. The rest of the menu is a breath of fresh air in this chain-laden county and I can’t wait to try the wraps and salads on the menu. There’s something for everyone and they’re very accommodating. It’s a shame they don’t have seating, but that’s the only thing I’d change. A side note: the beer selection is great there and they do events on occasion, too. Can’t wait to go back!

Great spot to grab some lunch when down in St Mary’s City. We grabbed lunch after swim tryouts at the college and had a picnic at the historical city. Wife declared the Reuben the«best she ever had». Great bread, and the sauce was just perfect. Crab cake sandwich was worth the wait. Not some processed patty with too much filler, but a perfectly hand formed crab cake. Will return often during swim and weekend visits.

Unbelievable lunch spot. The food is near-gourmet quality, the prices are reasonable(the same or slightly more than Panera), and the staff is super-friendly. The wraps are the best I’ve ever had. These guys REALLY know food, just understand that there isn’t anywhere to sit. They’re a new business, so be patient, and the food is absolutely worth taking somewhere else, even eating in your car. Get some tables, chairs, and umbrellas, and you’ll really have something special.

This is my new favorite lunch spot during the work week. The staff is friendly, prices are reasonable, and the food is fresh! I just ordered the grilled chicken caesar salad… Hands down the best version of that salad I’ve ever had! I never thought I could enjoy a caesar salad as much as I did. I can’t wait until they expand their menu a bit more than sandwiches, wraps, and salads. I’m sure it’ll be just as great!
