Stan’s Refrigeration & Appliances

My water heater was leaking and after replacing some parts we came to the conclusion that we needed a new one. On our way out of town we decided to check if Stan’s had any on hand. After checking to see what was available they asked what the problem was and we explained. They advised that we check to see if a certain valve was bad and even looked around the shop to see if there was one laying around that we could use! There wasn’t but said it was a cheap part we could get at the hardware store and it worked!!! Thank you very much for saving us from an unnecessary purchase!!! We will definitely be back the next time we need an appliance!!!

Terrible customer service. Rearranged my schedule for them to come service my stove. Hour after my scheduled appt I call to see where service guy was. Apparently they didn’t know as he never showed up for work. Apparently they did t seem it was important to go ahead and call their scheduled customers to let them know. Then when asked to reschedule, they tell me it will another week until they can come out again. For a small town local business you think they would be more understanding and work to keep local business. I will never wish their services to any one.

I love spending local, and especially when it’s a mom-​and-​pop outfit.
But, I should have known by the piles of used appliances all over the lot…
Brought in a mini fridge in September. The fridge was working fine, but only cooled to the low 40s. I told the man it worked fine, but I wanted it to get colder, as I was planning to make a Kegerator out of it. After 2 months with no communication, I dropped in to ask about it. The woman working the counter said «if you just drop it off, you have to wait your turn». I told her I just wanted an estimate of how long, and she just repeated it 3 times. Fast forward to 2 months later. I stopped in again, and reiterated that the refrigerator worked fine when I dropped it off, but just wanted it to get colder, and why would that take 4 months? The counter person said she would have Stan call me. Four days later, I get a call stating «your refrigerator is done». I picked it up. Paid and brought it home. Plugged it in the next day, and put my thermometer in. Still only cools to 43f on max. So… Long story short. $ 68.00 to store the refrigerator for almost 5 months and no better off than the day I dropped it off.
Needless to say… Never again. Run, don’t walk away from this place.
