We also like to shop local and have bought all of our furniture over the last 15 years at Richardson’s. They have ALWAYS been courteous, helpful and competitively priced. For such a small place their selections aren’t bad. Most of the living room things on the floor are pretty dark and look like men selected them. My only complaint is their woefully useless webpage. Unfortunately, it has not improved over the years either. But, the store, the people and the service are excellent and can’t be beat.

Decided when moving to St. Helens, we would do our best to ‘shop local. My sister purchased 2 mattresses, a twin bed, art work, and a high end sofa. All with delivery/set up service. No purchase was ‘fun’ and sometimes, even became difficult. Sales staff seems ‘put out’ and confrontational when asked questions. BUT… when it came time to buy a Full bed(head/footboard and frame), it’s been IMPOSSIBLE! My sister found what she wanted in one of Richardson’s catalogs and places the order… that was almost 2 months ago! They said they would call her the following week with an update… no follow up. No updates. Nothing. They store is NEVER busy enough to forget to follow up with a current customer. But, management does not care to be a good ‘neighbor’ and give any TLC to local buyers! Will NOT support this business any longer… Lazy Boy… here we come!

I called looking for info on a loveseat. I was put on hold with a obnoxious tone to let me know I was on hold. Gee, what about taking my number and calling me back??? The gal on the phone when I called back gave me no reason to buy and could not even offer a picture of what was available in stock. What is the use of having a website if it doesn’t help the customer choose his purchase. No mention of a sale or any good reason to do business with them. Before I drive 20 miles you might want to give me an incentive to do business with you. Absolutely Clueless!
