Over the past 15 years we have been to more than 200 wineries in Napa and this is our favorite. It is the most beautiful winery, has wonderful staff and makes fantastic wines. The design of the building and tasting room are architecturally stunning and welcoming, with spectacular views of Napa Valley from it’s mountaintop ridge line site. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and go out of their way to ensure good service and a caring tasting experience. All the wines are delicious, complex and long, beautifully bottled and packaged. None of it is cheap, but it’s worth every penny, unlike many other Napa wines that charge a lot but aren’t special. These are special.

So an update — originally 2 stars, now just 1 — An individual from Ovid contacted me about my review a month ago. She apologized for my poor experienced and offered to give me a complimentary tasting the next time I come to Napa. Three weeks ago I responded giving her the date I would be in Napa next and would like to set something up if possible. I still haven’t heard back from them. This is just a continuation of their bad service. There are too many good wineries in Napa to bother with this one.

Horrible scheduling. Be careful!!! The winery called us the night before to let us know they had a cancellation. We rearranged our trip just to be turned away once we got there. The staff was unhelpful and didn’t care they had wasted our time. Would not recommend. Too many wineries to ever return. Two thumbs down!

One of the best bordeaux style blend in Napa if you can get your hands on it. In order to taste their wines at the winery, you have to be on the mailing list or know someone who is on the mailing list. Love love love their annual party in May each year!

This place is an amazing Top end winery on Prichard Hill outside of Oakville.
We are on the mailing list and already know that we love the wine however I hadn’t seen the property until this last weekend and the view was breathtaking.
Elizabeth showed us around, walked us through the wine making process and made the overall general visit something special to remember.
If you ever have a moment to visit it’s well worth the opportunity.

The winery is spectacular and proprietor Dana Johnson is a knowledgable and gracious hostess. This state-of-the-art winery is overseen by winemaker Austin Peterson who produces an excellent bordeaux blend as well as at least one «experiment» per year.
The winery was designed by well-known architect Howard Backen and the large glass walls highlight the beautiful site that overlooks much of Napa Valley. The vineyards are farmed organically although the winery is not certified organic.
