Let me start by saying that Benessere is one of my favorite spots in the Napa Valley and I have been a member of their wine club for many years. I really enjoy their wines, which are fantastic for their price point. That being said, their service has really declined in the past few years. On a recent visit, I could not believe the treatment by one of the ladies in the tasting room. I hope it gets back to the way it was… with good wine and good people.

A wonderful small estate winery, you won’t be disappointed. You will need to call for an appointment and they are very accommodating. Donna was awesome and made the experience amazing. A must do in Napa!

Wines good but not great. Atmosphere is phenomenal; can bring your own picnic while tasting! Owner John wonderful as well!

Calling in for a same day, short notice appointment, I was cheerfully and graciously granted a tasting by Barbara! We arrive and are delighted to have Barbara as our host. We enjoyed the tasting and conversation with our enthusiastic hostess about Italian wines I highly recommend this experience and remarkable wines.

Great experience here. We brought cheese and other snacks for the day. We mentioned it to Dennis and he told us to set up just outside the door. We had lunch and he brought us our tastings as we noshed. Needless to say Benessere added to our wonderful day in Napa, not to mention we bought a couple of bottles here too!

We had a Phenomenal experience at Benessere Vineyards! Delicious wine = Check! A nice variety of tastes and styles for our wine tasting experience. Atmosphere = Beautiful property, stunning views and very relaxing Excellent customer service = Donna and Dennis exceeded our expectations at every turn. They were both made sure that all of our guests had an extremely pleasant time. Affordability = Their prices are definitely reasonable and with the Groupon deal that we used it was an extreme value. We look forward to visiting Benessere Vineyards next time we are in Napa doing some wine tasting. Thank you for a phenomenal experience!

Below average experience at a family winery. I was expecting much more, given the stellar Unilocal reviews. Outdoor seating, beautiful location. Service was below average. The women were friendly, but they didn’t seem to know all that much about the wine. They didn’t give us any good information about the grapes, the style, the flavor, etc. Also the pacing was uneven and we waiting far too long between some of our pours. Wine was pretty lackluster. I didn’t really like anything we tasted. There are just so many excellent small, family-owned wineries in Napa that I would visit someplace else.

Triple D. David, Donna & Dennis. They were so accommodating and welcoming. We had a birthday party of 8 and they totally accommodated us and made sure we had a good time. They were so awesome we all wanted to sign up for a membership. We will definitely be back with other family and friends. This place is awesome!!! They are so nice and care about the customers!

It is a small wineyard and we loved it. $ 20 tasting fee but will be waived if you buy wines. We tasted 4 reds and 1 white. We felt very welcome and we were given some tips for some dinner‘s places. I recommend checking this place which sells mostly Italian type blends. The wines are not very expensive. We ordered a Rosé for $ 18 and the 2013 Sangiovese for $ 32. Since you know that this place sells only locally or ships to their customers, you must definitely come back with one bottle of wine.

This vineyard is a small operation compared to many of the big vineyards in the area. It is beautiful, serene, and has great wine. The Sangiovese is my personal favorite and I brought a few bottles back east with me. I highly recommend going to Benessere if you are in the area!

What a lovely hidden gem! We were heading out after a relaxing weekend in Napa, and thought we would hit one more winery for a tasting and picnic lunch. Unilocal directed us to Bennessere as it was nearby, dog-friendly, and highly regarded. We couldn’t have had a more enjoyable time. This winery is secluded and off the beaten path, and the outdoor tables offered a perfect and quiet respite nestled among the vineyards. Donna was the best host — she immediately brought out milkbones for our puppy, and even set out a water dish for him. When she saw that we had brought charcuterie with us from Dean & Deluca, she took it upon herself to bring out paper plates, cutlery, and napkins for us, because we foolishly forgot to pack those items. She was also super interesting to talk to, and struck just the right balance of checking in on us and letting us enjoy ourselves alone. The tasting itself was wonderful, too. Donna was super knowledgeable about the wines, poured generously, and brought out additional wines for us to try in addition to the 5 included in the tasting. Buying a couple of bottles before we left was a no-brainer! If you’re in the area, this is a must-visit!

Napa is all flash these days but there are still some old school family-owned wineries like Bennesere. The approach is a dead-end gravel road, right alongside the Napa River. The tasting room is in an old yellow building, unassuming and covered in foliage. We were the first people there and were greeted warmly. The winery focuses on Italian varietals, but includes Zinfandel and a delicious red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese. One of the guys behind the counter launched into a detailed description of Italian wines, which I personally have always found confusing. So that was great. The $ 20 tasting fee is waived with the purchase of a bottle, which I always appreciate. If you’re looking for good, honest wine and don’t need the flash, put this place on your list.

Randomly stumbled upon this vineyard on our way to the mud baths in Calistoga. We arrived without a reservation but were very warmly greeted by two staff who gladly introduced us to their tasting menu. $ 20 for a glass which includes five tastings(and one moscato at the end), but the tasting price is waived if you purchase a bottle(ranging from $ 20s to $ 50s). The staff were very friendly, knowledgable, helpful, fun, and we had a great time! Overall a very cute and cozy family winery. Highly recommend!

A quaint small stop where we had our little picnic on a bench under a tree right next to the vineyard. The service was excellent and the staff was excellent. The fellow even brought out our tastings to our picnic bench outside. I love that if you buy a bottle, they waive the tasting fee. Their wine was great and I did pick up a bottle to take home.

I feel like I know a lot about wine at this point… but I have no idea how to teach my boyfriend. Luckily our friends at Benessere were there to help out! We showed up with no appointment on a winter Saturday afternoon, and there was one tour bus there. Luckily they were happy to pour us a tasting outside under the trellis in the sunshine, and spent at least 40 minutes explaining all of the nuances of wine tasting. The gentleman(whose name I forget) was very patient answering my boyfriend’s questions, and he even let us peek in their caves where he taught us about their barrels and aging process. It was a fabulous experience overall! I love these out-of-the-way wineries.

I was in Napa yesterday and after visiting a VERY crowded and touristy large winery needed a quiet relaxing local family owned winery to kick back and enjoy the beautiful 80 degree weather. This is when we found this the perfect Benessere Winery. My group of friends and I were warmly greeted upon entry and even offered a beautiful picnic table area to taste outside. The tasting flight of 6 wines is only $ 20 and refunded with bottle purchase. I ended up going home with a couple bottles of course. The two women working at the winery were so friendly and told us about the history of the winery, land and grapes. This was the last stop of our two day napa adventure and finished up the trip perfectly. Cannot wait to return on every napa trip :)
