I went to this cute little café after hiking at Clark’s Creek and it was everything I needed to satisfy my hunger. I tried the special for today which was the tomato basil soup and I paired it with grilled cheese of course. It was divine and this place definitely met my expectations. My boyfriend ordered the hamburger and the sauce they put on it was also very good! This place is definitely a gem in the small town.

Magnolia Café was amazing. I had the French dip po boy and my girlfriend had the shrimp po boy. We shared the alligator bites. The food was beyond expectation. One bite into the shrimp on that po boy and you knew someone could cook. The alligator bites came out after our po boys despite it being an appetizer but it didn’t matter. There was one mix up in the kitchen that was very quickly remedied and then followed up on by the waitress. She was also amazing. I highly recommend this place. Five stars well deserved even with that one mix up.

Loved this little café! I stopped by on a drive between New Orleans and Natchez. I was surprised how busy it was for 2PM on a Monday. I came in and seated myself. I ended up getting the pork chop special. It came with a nicely dressed side salad to begin which had a lot of parmesan cheese on it. I was shocked when my pork chop came out — it was a huge bone in pork chop! And the dish was only $ 9.95! You can’t beat that! Usually I would expect that dish to be closer to $ 25 or so. It was perfectly cooked and nice and juicy. There was a side of sautéed vegetables with it. It was a really awesome meal with great service! If I am back in Saint Francisville anytime soon I will definitely stop in!

This is a very nice restaurant really quiet and quaint, service was quick and accurate, spinach artichoke dip was off the hook and the sandwiches were pretty amazing. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone I know.

To the guy with the dark colored beard working the register on 3−3−16 around 2pm. You should never complain about how much money your customers spend. Be it $ 10(the amount you were complaining about) or $ 50. By the way they’re helping to keep you employed. If you’re the owner you should know better. If you’re an employee the owner needs to speak to you. Although the food here was good and the service from one of the young ladies working was okay. This person attitude toward the lady who only spent $ 10.00 will make me think twice about coming back.

Fantastic food! The sandwich I ordered was fabulous! The alligator bites were very good, the breeding/coating was very nicely seasoned! Glad we stopped! Being from out of town I recommend this quaint little place!

The epitome of a mom and pop restaurant that is far superior to any chain. This is a must try when you’re in the area. We always stop in on our day vacations and it never disappoints. The service can be slow, especially if it’s crowded but it’s worth the wait. On our last visit it was too chilly for the patio area but I highly recommend if weather permits. The food is always fresh and seasoned to perfection. The menu has lots of options from hummus to Tex-Mex to Cajun. The poboys and sweet potato fries make a delicious combo. They also have a nice selection of salads. I haven’t ventured out to the pizza but a near by table said they were very satisfied with their selection and it looked scrumptious. The staff is always friendly and courteous and will even laugh at my husband’s not so funny jokes.

Drove into St. Francisville on our last trip to Louisiana. I love the Magnolia Café for the casual atmosphere, but downright yummy food. Since I am usually vegetable deprived when I visit Louisiana(too much fried food for me), we went straight to the selection of salads. We had the Blue Cheesy salads with grilled chicken and shared a bowl of chicken and sausage gumbo. Nice mix! I did envy the lunch specials being served all around me — today was fried catfish poboys! Great service by attentive wait staff! We’ll be back!

I have to give Magnolia Café a 5 Star review! I love the food, the atmosphere but most of all I love all the laughter and good times I have shared here with my family and my dear friend, Charlene. I love the Spicy Shrimp PoBoy and their Chocolate Chip Cookies are always good.

We stopped in here trying to find a local spot whil on our way to hike at Clark’s Creek. From the outside it looks like a small little shack but once you walk in the place has a huge covered patio area to sit. The weather was perfect for this sort of occasion. We started off with the guacamole and chips and it was served with the chips stuck in the guacamole as if to be a flower. While the presentation was pretty, the chips were awful. They were those yellow circle kind that you get at the movies or at a high school football game with the crappy cheese. The guac was tasty though. It tasted very fresh and had tomato slices, jalapenos and black olives on top. For my meal, I just got the grilled chicken with veggies and it came with a side salad. The chicken breast was large and the smokey flavor was tasty. The veggies were swimming in oil so they weren’t the greatest. The side salad was basically lettuce, parm cheese and a vinaigrette. The prices are extremely cheap(My entrée was 10.95). The people are friendly and it seems to be a family run operation. The menu is heavy on mexican food and sandwiches but there is a little of every thing.

Great if you like mediocre food I would rather go to McDonald’s. The Bluemoon however was very good. I ordered the nachos and they tasted like the oven or as if they were cooked next to a pizza. We also ordered the crab claws as an appetizer which was lacking flavor. The one positive was The crawfish dip which was very flavorful but the bread that it was served on was stale..

I order the fish of the day, Grilled Drum, and Jim ordered the Shrimp Remoulade Salad. The drum with a crawfish cream topping was perfectly prepared. A light crust on a very good piece of fish. Cooked so the fish was firm, yet not dry. Jim’s Remoulade had a good heat to it. The news yesterday means that the additional heat will give him a few more years on his lifespan. He’s not a big heat lover, but it was perfect for me. The six large shrimp and crispy lettuce made it a perfect meal for a hot evening. Finished the meal off with the Creole Cream Cheesecake. Added a cup of creole coffee and have to give the meal my very coveted 5 stars. The price was twice what we normally pay in Natchitoches, but the meal was a great start to our little vacation.

Local and lovely, The Magnolia Café is a delightful surprise. The service was exceptional and the food: fantastic. The sweet tea is southern sweet and the live music is as authentic as the po-boy.

What a cute little restaurant in St. Francisville. Sit outside on the patio. The service was a little on the slow side. I feel like service is almost always slower on patios though. Te spinach and artichoke dip was enjoyable. It didn’t just taste like your everyday dip that I feel you get at a lot of restaurants. The children split a pizza. It looked and tasted good. I wasn’t that hungry so I got the shrimp app. It was tiny and not what I was expecting. My cousin got the shrimp and grits and said it was just so/so. I would go again and give them another try.

If your in St. Francisville this is where you want to eat. Its a great spacious restaurant serving all kinds of food and specials. Try the specials and the homemade soups that rise above the rest. I had a great cup of chili and a club sandwich both were excellent. The prices are affordable too.

Magnolia Café is a casual and unpretentious little restaurant with friendly service in beautiful St. Francisville. While in the area recently we stopped in for lunch. We chose to start with the Fried Alligator Bites. Score! These are sooo delicious. They come with a dipping sauce that is mayo based(I believe) and it was really tasty, but honestly the alligator bites were so good they could have stood alone. The next time I come here I am going to order this appetizer as my meal. For my entrée I picked the Spicy Shrimp Poboy. Another winner! Imagine this… shrimp in garlic butter with pepper jack cheese, bell pepper, onions, lettuce and tomato served on Poboy bread. Holy spicy yumminess! If you’re ever in St. Francisville do yourself a huge favor and get to Magnolia Café. You can thank me later.
