We had a fantastic stay at the Down By The River ! It was the perfect location near many of the attractions we had on our list to see and do. Tombstone, Bisbee just to name a few. Mike and Angie are the perfect hosts and made us feel right at home. We went for our Friday the 13^th Monthaversary and Valentines Day getaway. It was fun to find out that the host share our Anniversary date and month.
We chose the Cowboy room for our stay. It was impeccably furnished as was every square inch of the property. The room was large, clean and so inviting. They really out did themselves. Now breakfast, well that was quite the treat. Fresh coffee ready at 7:00 am. Both leaded and unleaded LOL. We enjoyed the peaceful morning to sit outside and watch the sunrise and wildlife come to life. There are fantastic smoothies next followed by a wonderful gourmet breakfast at 8:30. It was wonderful to meet the other guests at this time and chat with everyone.
We feel so lucky to have stumbled across this B & B and we are already planning our next visit. If you are coming to this part of AZ do yourselves a favor and give DBTR a look see, you will be so glad you did.

I would give it 5 stars if not for the dirt road… Grin…but I’ll get over it! Truthfully, we were both a little apprehensive as we were driving to the facility — but never fear — it is WELL worth the dust on your car! Great rooms, great decorations, great hosts and great food… everything we could ask for. This place is full of old west antiques, paintings and atmosphere! Next trip we will bring some steaks to grill and a couple of bottles of wine — we highly recommend this B&B!

Large gourmet breakfast. Solitude and very friendly host’s. The accommodations were roomy and exceptional. We highly recommend Down By The River Bed And Breakfast. Very close to several attractions. Close to river, wildlife and a wide variety of birds.

A wonderful B&B with gracious hosts and a beautiful and interesting ambience with antiques and southwest memorabilia. The breakfasts are gourmet. Mike and Angie have created the best B&B we’ve been to out of many around the country. John and Cathy

A very nice relaxing B&B off the beaten path yet close to many historical places in SE Arizona. Good breakfast, good conversation, nice ambiance and gracious hosts. What more could you ask for. It was built specifically to be a B&B and in many ways reminds me of the original Red Setter Inn in Grear AZ in regards to personal touches. Oh, and it has a regulation pool table with a supply of straight pool cues that we took advantage of one night after dinner.

This is a great place to get away with some peace and quiet. This is one of the nicest, most detailed B&Bs ever. There are enough local artifacts in the main room and each bedroom to occupy hours. The back patio is great for just sitting, reading, or birding. Several feeders have a constant flow of birds.
Mike and Angie are the perfect hosts, helpful, knowledgeable but unobtrusive. Angie’s breakfasts! Not enough words! Both are a wealth of information about the surrounding sites. If you need to mix some business with pleasure, there is WiFi to access email. Prices are also very reasonable.
Did I say it was a great place to stay? Yep.

We had a great night of sleep in a very cozy room. The breakfast was fantastic. I would recommend this place to anyone. If we are ever back in the area we would happily stay here again.
