Second Glance Resale Shop

I am so done with this place!!! I recently took some children’s articles in and they picked out 7, some of which still had tags from Baby Gap. They offered me 5.00 which is less than I.00 a piece for each item. While I was waiting, I purposely checked out prices of similar items. 15.00 was the average. So all we are doing is filling their inventory for basically nothing while they make the big profits. Better to donate to a charity that really needs it like Salvation Army or St. Vincent de Paul.

Love this place — It’s ALWAYS clean and organized and I can always find great deals. I also consign stuff there. Great way to get money out of things I no longer use. Even though I always seem to spend it while I’m there!!!

This place is a joke. I brought tons of brand name clothes with tags still attached and they denied service to me. You can’t bring in any clothing that isn’t in a clear plastic bin. They basically said you’re trash if you bring things in a trash bag.

I managed to find a couple of items which were actually priced fairly. I almost fell over at some of the prices, absolutely ridiculous for a store with «resale» in the title. I found Stuart Weitzman shoes, (all leather sole/​made in Spain) for $ 8. It was obvious this was purely because whoever labeled them had no idea these were a high end brand. The label read «Women’s Flats» and other tags had the brand name with a much higher price, even if it was not anything special. This store really disappointed me! The prices were very inflated and when I checked out their Ebay store I was even more disappointed. Prices are not realistic, AT ALL. The staff was OK, but not overly friendly by any means. I wouldn’t be surprised if they get the bulk of their items from across the street at The Salvation Army and charge double. I plan to check out their other locations to see if this was just a bad location with bland items at HIGH prices. I hope they get it together… because if their prices were better I would potentially spends hundreds of dollars a month there to supply my online store! Instead, I will keep to my regular locations which have knowledgeable customer service and reasonable and FAIR pricing.

Great shop! I have consigned and bought from here and they have great prices. I always find a good deal with name brand stuff for 75% off the resale price. It’s a huge shop too so there’s a ton of stuff! However the Eastpointe location I feel is overpriced and has a smaller selection. But I feel the St.Clair.Shores location is much cheaper with more variety.

I was always a great customer… until today. Prices seem to be going up and are pretty much the same as the store, sometimes more. Once in a while I can find a good deal which is why I’m leaving 1 star. The girls at this location have terrible business practices and a bad attitude to boot if you dare mention a price being higher than the store or bring up the aforementioned business practices. You can’t leave them a complaint on their Facebook page, as that will be quickly deleted workout resolve (which they warned me, with attitude, they would do). The owner eventually called me after I left a message and offered me a small gift card to try the eastpoint location. Planning a trip there today and I will update this once I do. Hopefully I will have a good review for their Unilocal!UPDATE: Staff seemed MUCH friendlier at eastpoint location although prices weren’t much better :/​I’ll keep checking back though, maybe I’ll spot something someday that I can’t get a better deal on elsewhere

It is a resale shop but very clean! The staff is very friendly and will help you shop! It’s very convenient with two locations. I now live out of state but they ship me items :)
