Top notch barber shop. Channel 4 actually voted this as the best barber shop in metro Detroit, so that says something.
For many years I tried many different places — Great Clips, BoRics, Lady Jane’s, yada yada yada. After years of failed haircuts and throwing money down the drain, I bought my own set of clippers and cut my own hair for two years. It was better, but I couldn’t reach (or see) all the spots to have the perfect haircut.
So, recently I decided ‘New year, new haircut.’ On a Saturday afternoon I walked in, was immediately taken by a dude named Danny and showed him a picture on my phone of what I wanted. This is an old-​school barbershop… they do fades, and beards, and even put that amazing feeling hot shaving cream on the back of your neck.
My haircut was great and I received plenty of compliments on it since then. I tried something new and the reception was overwhelmingly positive. A haircut and a beard trim only cost 15 bucks (before tip). I gave him a $ 20 because I was pretty damn satisfied.

Went there 3 times first time great haircut second time average haircut third time got a haircut and shave. Got a buzz cut still had some hairs that never got cut. Below average haircut. The shave was the worst shave I have ever had in my life. I won’t be back

What can you say about LaRosa’s Barber Shop? I’ll tell you what. A whole hell of a lot.
First of all, I rarely shave, but when I do my man Danny is on point son! He gives me a hot lather shave, and my neck isn’t bumpy at all (one of the reasons I don’t shave is because I always get bumps on my neck). Is that all? No sir it is not.
Nicole, the owner’s daughter, is personable, funny, and will give you a great cut. She doesn’t take long either, which can sometimes be scary. If you get a barber who rushes, there’s a big chance of a mistake. Not so with Nicole. She’s expeditious, without sacrificing quality-​a rare mix in this industry. I always ask for her, and NO ONE other than Nicole has cut my lid in quite a while.
Nikki, another one of the employees, is very outgoing (some would say bubbly) and always good for a funny story or two. She also has over 15 years of experience, so you can’t go wrong if she’s cutting your hair.
This family owned spot is now open 7 days a week, which a lot of barber shops are not. And for only $ 9 a cut, you would be crazy not to come here for your cuts. So, be sure to get your fade fixed, hair trimmed or cut, or even catch a hot lather shave, and tell them Cosimo sent you.

We have been loyal customers for over four years and will always be! Both of my sons (3.5 & 5.5) love going to the Barber Shop and have since their first haircuts when they were given certificates to commemorate the occasions along with a locks of hair for their baby books. Since then the promise of Tootsie Roll Pops keeps them coming back for more! Mr. Tony and Mr. Nick are so talented and make them feel like big boys at every visit!!!

Larosa barbershop has been my barber for the past 3 years. I was the guy that just went anywhere to get my hair cut and always left unsatisfied and payed way to much.
I visited this shop after moving to St. Clair Shores on a recommendation from a friend. WOW!!! Tony the owner was the first person cut my hair and he was full of idea’s on the best way to cut my hair and the shop was buzzing with talk of the Lions and Tigers.
He trimmed the eyebrows and shaved the back of my neck and this was all for 8 dollars.
When an Italian breaks out a strait razor I normally would get nervous but Tony had me at hello. His nephew Nick cut my hair the next time I was there and it was just as amazing. Old world detail and conversation at a old world price. If I ever went to a different barber I would feel like I was cheating.
