Kroger

I really like this Kroger — it’s a fairly standard Kroger with sushi, a large organic food section, etc. The huge parking lot is a major plus, and so is the beautiful and nicely cleaned recycling center! To me, the recycling center is the most noteworthy addition to this Kroger. I normally dread recycling at Kroger because it’s sticky, dank, and pretty much disgustingly overflowing and gross! Not here! This place hardly had an odor, was well-​lit and not sticky. There were clear directions for where to put recyclables that rejected by the machine, AND… AND…a sink! A clean sink. With soap and HOT water. If you’re in a hurry, they were well-​stocked with handiwipes, too. Overall, I will stop at this Kroeger whenever I’m nearby.

Kroger is Kroger, but this location has a bigger parking lot than the one on 8 Mile and most everything is fresh and ready to go. The prices are reasonable and sales are always taking place, and if you have a Kroger card you save even more. The sushi stations are pretty cool, too, and the staff is one of the friendlier ones of grocery stores in the metro area.

Nice store, always have things I like in stock, I wish they had a clearance frozen food section like they do in warren on 14 mile. this krogers have friendly employees. never waited to long at the deli.

Reasonably priced, and has a pretty decent organic/​vegetarian/​vegan section that other stores, such as Meijer, do not have. When I don’t feel like driving to Trader Joes in the Village for my «hippy» food, I come here. There produced is OK. Although, I have gone on a few ocassions and found moldy vegetables. It’s silly to buy vegetables and fruit here when Joe Randazzo’s on Gratiot is so close and you can get bags upon bags full of produce for under $ 20 dollars.
The staff is pretty friendly, and competent. I usually use the Self Checkout and whenever I need assistance (which is every time it seems because of those machines) the attendant is always there immediately to help.

Ok Kroger is Kroger but this one has a friendly staff.
Went to get some fried chicken today after the snowpocalypse passed. Well, it looked like they had gone out of business the shelves were so bare and the store was deserted.
Us Shorians scare easily and we all stocked up on everything and I mean everything, no bananas, lettuce and on and on.
Well i go to get the chicken and the window is empty and heat lights are off, so the deli person comes over and asked if I would like some chicken she’d be glad to put a fresh batch in and also a batch of spuds. I thought that was very nice considering she would have to clean everything just for my order. And the fresh fried chicken beat the pants off of the Col. And 8 piece was only $ 4.99
