I love this place. I wish I could get out and drink here more often. I love the beer, and I love the atmosphere. It’s so laid back. Literally just people sitting around and enjoying the beer (and maybe a game that might on the TVs.)

The atmosphere was relaxed and our server was really knowledgable about all the brews. Very impressed and will definitely return.

I love coming here! My boyfriend and I usually stop here once a week if possible. Awesome beers and getting a beer flight is the best way to try beers and get the most bang for your buck. Bartenders always cheerful and you can play cards or board games while enjoying a brew!

Been here a bunch of times. Really good beer. The Heffenwolf is a very traditional Hefeweizen. Very well done. The Berry White is a nice mixed berry wheat. Cherry Underwood is a cherry saison bordering on a sour. No food but there is free popcorn. The staff is always friendly and amazing. The only downside is the size of the location. Limited seating/​tables. Otherwise I highly recommend.
Still so good. The Trumpin Pumpkin is a nicely spiced pumpkin ale. Mango Unchained is a fruit forward ale. Still no growlers but I’ve heard they’re coming in late October. This is a must try local brewery.

For a brewery being brand new, Baffin sure has a great start. Their beers are very flavorful and their selection is pretty good. However, they did not have an IPA which was strange. They have board games you can play and popcorn so you are not wasted on an empty stomach. I would say they need to have a small food menu but that would be the only change I would make.

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. Great new addition to the Nautical Mile. No food, just popcorn and some the best MI craft beers you’ll ever have. Great chill atmosphere. So inconspicuous you might drive by, but you shouldn’t.

Small place but cool atmosphere. I love how they make you drink beers in order to work your way up to a mug club. Small local brewery feel w great beer.

Baffin is a great, local brewery with a friendly, fun, and unpretentious atmosphere. Solid beers with a commitment to use Michigan hops as much as possible. They have stacks of games and free popcorn, so come and hang out, have some fun, and drink some great beer.

This is my second visit and I’m still loving the beer and atmosphere, tasty and laid back ! So happy to have quality craft beer made from Michigan grown products just a little over a mile from home!

A friend and I stopped in the other day for the first time and loved it. If memory serves me correctly there are 6 or 7 beers on tap and they range widely I taste and style.

What a great micro brewery. Every IPA is better than the last one. Funky vibe, friendly atmosphere. Baffin is named for the Bernese Mountain dog that belonged to one of the owner’s. Picture of dog on glasses and the wall. Board games and trivia night. Always something new to try. Great addition to neighborhood.

Finally stopped into Baffin on St. Patrick’s Day, and just as I expected the place is pretty relaxing.
It’s a small space, no doubt, and is predicated on conversation. You can sit at the bar, at tables along the walls or can even convene around large wooden barrels. Everyone is just having a good time and drinking good beer. I haven’t tried all or most of their beers just yet, but the ones I have had are good (like the Mango IPA hybrid).
My suggestion to the owners would be to put up some sort of wall or tapestry to separate the floor and tables from the actual beer reservoirs. It’s kind of an eye sore to be honest, with the big white-​walled room next to the floor. It almost looks like they never finished construction. Or maybe that was intentional. Oh well, whatever. Things could be a lot worse.
I’m sure more improvements will be made as time rolls on. It’s nice to have a brewery so close to my house, though. About time! Good stuff.

What an awesome place. They are very much in their youth in terms of location, but their beer tastes like years of experience and experimentation. Love the IPA! They might need to provide a bit more than pop corn, however they do allow food to be brought in.
Winter hours are brief, but the opportunity is available all week long. Hopefully when they bring more tanks in, they will be able to provide more options than the six currently available. It makes me happy to see we finally have our own micro-​brewery in the Shores!

So happy to finally get to visit this new local brewery and so close to home. It’s 6pm on a Sunday, the seats are filled, Billy Joel is the piano man and the beer is flowing. I’m munching pretzels enjoying ALL the different beers and watching a batch of brew being made. The staff and owner is Über friendly. One small negative is limited seating as everyone is here to stay.

Another Unilocaler said this place wasn’t full of beer snobs. No wonder. Anyone who rates this place high doesn’t know beer period. After a nigh visiting Kehnhenn, Dragonmead, and Atwater at the Park with a small group of beer lovers (not snobs) this was the low of the evening. Bad beers, few options, no ambiance and little seating. Guess anyone can hang a brewery shingle and make money.

This place is cool. I like it Cuz it’s close to home and it’s not Waves or Fishbones. But seriously, it’s nice to have a micro brewery in the shores. I hope it does well

This place is just full of regular beer loving people. No beer snobs, like at other breweries around town.

I am so excited to have a micro brewery in the shores, and so close to home! I found out this place had opened when a friend checked-​in on facebook. I snooped around and found out they had literally opened that day.
Hubs and I stopped by this past Friday after dinner and we really liked it. As of 1/​23, there was not a sign out the outside, but it is just north of Pat O’Brien’s. We walked in and loved the feel of the place. You can tell they just opened and it is all a work in progress, but it really had a feeling of a place you can come and hang out. There are a few TV’s on the walls to watch the game, nice bar, chill music, and a chalk board wall with the drafts listed. You could still smell the varnish/​lacquer, like a new car smell for a bar. lol The actual space is small, and the capacity sign says 53 people, but again, it has a cozy welcoming feel to it.
There were 5 beers on tap, and with a flight and a pint purchase we were able to try them all. I don’t remember the names, but I do know the styles we had. The IPA was a really nice West Coast IPA. Slightly sweet on the initial taste and it was nice and hoppy, but not over powering. Really nice! The Hefe was a typical hefe, nothing crazy amazing, but will satasify you! :) The oatmeal stout was really smooth! Cream ale was nice. Mango Pale Ale was my fav. It wasn’t super fruity and it was very refreshing.
We can’t wait to go back and hang out. This will become a regular spot for the hubs and I for sure!
