Still a great old-line candy store. Cannot complain about it. And I would just pay no attention to the naysayers. LOTS of old-time & newfangaled-candy store candy… For such a small place.

I enjoy visiting here and finding just the right kind of candy at a good price, they make up some baggies of candy for $ 1 a bag and its a generous portion. My daughter always enjoys looking at the antiques & collectibles that decorate the store. The candy is always fresh!

Was super excited to go with my 3 kids, along with a super hunk on a Saturday. Sticky note on door said«January through March… open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday…12−4 pm». Another sticky note underneath says…” Closed on Saturdays”. Imagine our delight!

My sons had asked and asked to go to the Warehouse Confectionery, and we finally had the chance to stop. They had heard about the candy room from friends and couldn’t wait to look around and buy some treats. The candy room does seem to have a great selection, including one area with novelty items for kids(such as tiny plastic skateboards and trucks filled with candy balls). I was looking at some other items in the room when I discovered that my eight-year-old son had opened a glass jar on that table and pulled out an unwrapped stick of rock candy. I told him not to touch the candy part and put it back. At that point the clerk, an elderly lady, brought my son to tears over taking it out. If you are going to cater to children, and set up a display of products just for them, you can’t include things that they should not touch, and you also can’t berate children for looking at the products that you are trying to sell to them! This store needs to be arranged differently, with anything that should not be touched put out of reach of children, and this woman should not be working where she will have contact with kids.

Love the idea of this candy shop. My boys love the candy everywhere. I love the walk down memory lane looking at the candy. My biggest complaint/issue is that when we got home and started trying the different candy, 60% of it was stale to the point of not being able to eat.(i.e. starburst that we’re literally unchewable, airheads that didn’t even bend). It was crazy! This is the second time this has happened. Our boys like to go there for their bdays. So trip 1) November 9th, 2011– stale. April 9th– stale. Very frustrating. I want to love this place.

This is an antique store with a room dedicated to old-timey candy(Necco wafers; Black Jack gum; etc.). It’s pretty well packed in there, but if you’re in St. Charles and you must have a chocolate Necco wafer, they’ll set you up. They also have a small selection of fudge and dipped candies(mostly milk chocolate). The dark toffee and the dark mint sticks are good.
