Avid Angler

I stopped in the other day for a day of fishing. I needed some lead/​sinkers, hooks, some bait hell I need a rod and reel. I needed the whole shabang I don’t have a thing. To top it all off I don’t even have time for any of this horse hocky. I really needed some supplies that they only have. I was hanging some wood beam lights and one played crooked. The only way to fix it was flat heavy lead. Just right up these guys alley. I walked in and the place smelled of fish and dead bait. The man behind the counter greeted me and asked if he could help. I saw the lead section right inside the door. nope I have to all right here. Now there was quite a few people in here and not a one wanted some bait to go fishing. All everyone wanted was the Yeti insulated cups. 4 walked out the door in the time I 4 hunks of lead and wondered up to the sales counter. They looked at me and said we only have one cooler left. For 29.95 they can keep that cooler cup. But I got my lead and I was ready for leveling out a wood light.

Good selection of items but a little bit of friendliness goes a long way. Will probably only be back because they are one of the few stores that carry what we want.

In addition to having everything you could need, the Avid Angler staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Thanks for for providing great fishing tips to strangers from far away!

It’s on the way to the Relson Gracie Academy so I stop by often. Nice guys & have bait when you want it.

This is a GREAT local spot for inshore and offshore fishing needs! This unassuming blue clad building holds fishing rods, lures, line, and reels. I was pleasantly surprised that this shop had a little bit of the necessities. They do reel repair and schedule charters as well.
But the best thing about this amiably enthusiastic fishing shop is their selection of bait! They, once again, had a good selection of everything, both frozen and live! If you are fishing in the St Augustine area this store is definitely one stop shopping!
