First of all, I am a little confused by you, reader. Given that the answers to the questions: «What’s the best place to eat/drink in St Anthony?», «What’s the worst place to eat/drink in St Anthony?» and«Where’s the closest place to drink in St Anthony after mass on Sunday?» are all«Arnie’s», I’m not sure how much Unilocal is going to help you in narrowing your choices(If you missed that… this is the only place in St Anthony… and it’s across from the church). Who knows, maybe you are from New York City, and are touring the countryside in search of how real country-living Americans drink. Maybe you need a place to build an alibi after having raised some trouble in Birdseye down aways on SR64. Well in any case, here you go: This is the place they cut to in that scene of that summer blockbuster movie you saw when they want you to think«small town america». Hard working blue collar men in for a few drinks after a long day of honest hard work. Darn good hamburgers and huge bologna sandwiches, and the beer is cold. I’m sure Arnie wouldn’t have it any other way. Stop into Arnie’s for a dose of America. But leave your phone in your pocket… to folks from these parts: «Yelp» is just the sound poor ‘ol Rover made when the tractor backed over his tail last Sunday, not something to be playing with when you ought to be drinking and watching the game.

We were camping at Patoka Lake Campground and because of rain and some other circumstances we needed a place to eat. Arnie’s really did the trick. The food was good and the prices were excellent. We had my 9 yr old son in tow and there is a separate dining room from the bar that was perfect. Their service was fantastic. Arnie’s is just a nice, clean, no frills, sandwich and fries kind of place, but it was perfect for our needs.
