St. Ann Park is well established(and sort of hidden) in St. Louis County but now it has a fresh and effervescent draw — food trucks on Sunday’s! Don’t worry about Internet stalking your favorite food truck on Facebook or Twitter, now you can find those bad boys here. Some other food truck events have become too popular for their own good(long waits, impossible parking and food trucks running out food). Sunday is a totally chill day to come out and enjoy an event like this whether you are just getting settled from church or primed after completing that last Sunday load of laundry. The food trucks are parked conveniently in a row and on my visit I delighted in the below noted: Kona Ice Truck(a Kona ice treat); The Southerner Truck(chicken & waffles on a stick and The Boss Hog); Andrew’s Bayou Ribs Truck(Rib tips dinner and just wings); Wayno’s Truck(Jamaican pineapple chicken tacos); and Sarah’s Cake Shop Truck(Strawberry — Lemon cupcakes). FYI, bring some cash just in case; at this point in the game I would think having Foursqaure was a foregone conclusion but I’m sure everyone will raise the bar sooner than later(that reflects on the vendors not the event). I know the thing is to bring your own seating but it sure would be nice if more were available. St. Ann Park will truly become a destination. Eat Local STL foods and try them at St. Ann Sunday’s! Now that Mad Men is over, wouldn’t it be extraordinary to run into Jon Hamm here?
