We stayed here once for a vacation. It was clean. Gorgeous suite with 2 fireplaces. Great food options and on site restaurant. Gorgeous view. Close to town. We live here now and when friends and family visit we recommend they stay here if there looking for a ritzy stay.

I had read the reviews posted about the lodge before coming and was very disappointed about what the lodge was really like when we got here. The location right on the lake is the only great part — but you have to pay extra to be on the lakeside of the hotel. The hotel was clean — but I would expect any hotel to be that. The rooms are large and have lots of things in them, but the quality of the finishes are low. The pictures the room are cheaply framed and lead to the lower quality feeling of the room. The shower is large with a shower head at each end — but the shower head quality is poor and there is no bathtub. The TV is small and located in a place where you cannot see it well from the only one chair in the room or the bed. There is a mini kitchen in the room but not much room to really use it. They do offer a continental breakfast but this was of very low quality. All prepackaged. A small offering of pastries bought somewhere else, toasters that don’t work well, and hard boiled eggs that were made somewhere else too and probably long before they were put out to eat. I think they would have been better to have no breakfast at all than this of poor quality. While in our room you could hear the people walking around on the floor above us and in the hall. It woke us up one morning. The bedding was nice on the bed, but the bed itself was very soft and I woke up stiff and sore each morning. I was expecting so much more and was pretty disappointed. This will be our one and only stay here.

I booked 3 nights here. It looked to be the best place in town and my husband and I were visiting his sister who lived right down the street. It was also our anniversary and we decided to spend a little extra money on a nice hotel. The first day we were there we went to grab something to eat and came back to our room. All the lights were on, the curtains were open and the sliding glass door was unlocked. The slider leads to a common walkway that anyone has access to. It was obvious someone had been in our room. We went to the front desk and was told that the hotel staff allowed the previous guests into our room to search for their things that they believe were left in there. Although they said they escorted them in, all of our stuff was unpacked and in there and then they left our room unsecured. I felt extremely violated. I was angry that they wouldn’t even try to contact us on our cell phone to ask permission or wait for us to return. I have never had a hotel allow something like this. If I am paying for your room then it’s my room until I check out. I was ready to leave and looking back I wish I had not given them another penny. After talking to the manager in the morning I was more upset as he did nothing but apologize and said it wouldn’t happen again. I felt we were so disrespected that they should have offered something. He later offered to allow us to have a bottle of wine that was already in our room that we didn’t drink and then left us a candy bar at our door. Is this how you run a business and keep customers happy? We will be visiting quite often but will never frequent this establishment again. We have also made sure my sister in law will share with everyone in town. On a side note, we weren’t able to enjoy the natural light and have the curtains open because there was a common walkway right outside our windows.

I stayed at The Lodge 7 times over the past three years. The service is excellent each time I stay. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the lake view is great. They offer a good complimentary breakfast each day and there is an excellent restaurant attached to the hotel. I would highly recommend anyone visiting to stay at The Lodge.

We booked a last minute stay for New Year’s Eve and loved our suite. Very clean, well appointed, and comfortable. Two fireplaces, two TVs. Wonderful view of the lake. We also ate at 41 South(on the same property) and had a fantastic dinner. Only downfall — fairly thin walls in our room. We will be back, to be sure.

This was our second time visiting the lodge as part of a family trip to the Northwest. The lodge is a gorgeous facility in a magical spot – waterfront property with private beach, dock and all the lake activities you could dream up(including relaxing and just doing nothing at all). The rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed(we stay in penthouse suite), housekeeping is superb and there is even a good restaurant right next door where you can grab some lunch or have a lovely dinner on the lake. My city kids LOVE the freedom they get venturing around the property. The staff is helpful and friendly, but hardly seen – you feel like you have the lodge all to yourself, even during full occupancy. A superb spot, worth returning to for a great family stay in the luxurious outdoors!

We had the pleasure of visiting The Lodge. It was the nicest place we found in this hidden gem in Idaho. The Lodge was gorgeous. Great friendly staff that went out of their way to accommodate us. The Lodge offered everything we needed, free books to hang out on the lounge chairs. Kayaks, breakfast and amazing comfortable rooms. The restaurant next door was very cool. Beds were really comfortable. Clean, quiet, relaxing. Oh and a great bar. Definitely recommend! We’ll be back for sure!

We were in search of a place to stay that was rustic and offered internet connection somewhere within driving distance of Pullman for our annual family vacation(long story). Our family(10 adults/teens) booked Cabin #3 and Penthouse Rm 42. The cabin I would probably give 5 stars to. It’s comfortably rustic with glossy wood paneling and comforts of home(reclining overstuffed chairs, full kitchen, etc.) and slept 6 just fine. No internet connection at the cabin and it’s located next to the resort and further away from the highway. Maid service is available, however you have to call the resort to remind them to remove the garbage, bring towels, etc. Nice lawn strectches down to Lake Pend Oreille. NOTE: I would not recommend cabins 1 or 2 unless you don’t mind being in the parking lot located very close to Highway 95. The resort has a beautiful lobby – for only being two years old, I’m impressed with the character. What the photos on the website don’t show you is that the resort is a short away from Highway 95 – a very busy road. The penthouse is probably 3.75−4 star. The room itself is nice – very large at just over 1000 feet. It has a queen(or king?) bed and a sofa sleeper. It’s large enough that you could have a roll away brought in if you needed to. The main bed and pillows are probably some of the most comfortable I have ever slept on. The kitchen is funky. Beautiful finishes, very large – would be great for entertaining… it has a full size fridge, sink but no stove. There appears to be a countertop where a stove was to go at one point in time(or perhaps in the future) and it has a coffee pot that only makes 2 small cups at a time(the cabin had a full size coffee pot). We had to request several times to have the deck cleaned. It was very buggy and full of spider webs. The front desk clerk tried to tell us that this is how the deck looks all the time and that it was just cleaned. After serveral request, they did send a nice gentleman up to clean it and the clerk called to apologize(must have heard from the person who cleaned that it was overdue for a cleaning). Every day we had to request the back deck to be cleaned – and for what you pay for that room(about $ 400 a night) I would expect the deck to be swept at least once a day, if not twice(if the bugs and spiderwebs are so bad at Sandpoint). The room had ethernet internet access and they have a nice office space(open above the lobby looking out into lake in a very cozy atmosphere) with wi-fi and computer available. There are bike and kayak rentals available. Our teens had plenty of things to keep them entertained. Overall I recommend staying here – I think the small issues we experienced are probably from this being a newer resort.

The Lodge at Sandpoint is a fantastic place to stay if you are visiting Sandpoint, Idaho: cozy, warm, and extremely charming. The rooms have nice fireplaces, impressive in-room kitchens(microwave, fridge, cutting block, wine glasses, etc), large bathrooms with double showers, balconies overlooking the lake and the mountains, flat screen televisions, extremely comfortable beds and pillows, and in-room ether-net internet access. The only issue I can find to nitpick is that the continental breakfast offered very little variety — still easily as good as anything at a traditional national chain. Also, I’m impressed that in-room extras are reasonably priced. There are two bottles of wine left in my room at only $ 20 each. Cokes in the refrigerator are $ 1.50. They offer DVDs to rent at the front desk for a price of 2 for $ 3. While, these prices are certainly not cheap — they are far better than the rip-off prices at most hotels. I must admit, I was less than thrilled about traveling to some remote village in Idaho for work. However, I’ve been pleasantly surprised — the people have been extremely friendly, my hotel is fantastic, and I’ve been enjoying surprisingly good food around town. I’d not be disappointed if I had to return.
