Super cute little spot; I only have been here once so far but would definitely return. I told the barista that I just needed something hot and maybe caramel. She whipped me up something absolutely delicious. Very inviting and low key atmosphere. Yum!

I like Dawn of a New Day Coffeehouse. I’ve never gone here for coffee, but I have been here several times for lunch, and what I’ve tried has been really good. The place has high ceilings and it’s been on the empty/cold side, but it’s still cute. They have a full coffee bar menu as well as a selection of sandwiches and soups. I’ve tried the Dawn’s Deliciousness, which is delicious indeed. The tomato bisque is great too. Sandwiches can be served on a few different kinds of bread, or large croissants(go for the croissant!). There’s not much in the way of desserts here, I’ve seen only biscotti. Would be nice to see some muffins, cookies, other treats to go along with coffee or food.

This coffee shop is truly a gem in the heart of the East side. All coffee is fair trade and organic. The owner is one of the biggest advocates for the redevelopment of downtown. It reminds me of the old school barber/beauty shops that you can hang out and hold court.

First of all this is sort of a green, «I love the earth» appearing coffee house on first impression. They use fair trade beans. There was literally no one in there except a local group of whatever discussing their business. I finally ordered a soy latte when I was able to flag down the barista. It was bitter even with the soy(which usually takes the edge off of espresso). I had to stop drinking it halfway thru. Parking must be an issue cuz there really isn’t much around the place, just some(2 – 3) parallel spots right next to the door. I’m really not a fan. Perhaps I’ll try again another day and be enlightened. Update: Tried their soy latte again. It was only slightly better but too bitter. I think the problem is that fair trade organic coffee bean. Is it just stronger or something?
