A little 150 acre park surrounding a 15 acre pond and is an offshoot, as well as a sub unit of Roper lake which is a little North. This is a quaint little park with three main things a stocked lake for fishing, a re-​created paleo Indian village and a riparian area. It is a day use only park and you can use your pass from Roper to visit.
According to the official sites. This was a privately owned lake until it was turned to a park in 1982 and it is fed by a warm artesian well, there is a small playground and you can wade in some of the warm waters. A nice little loop trail wanders the lake, village and riparian areas. Nice little stop.
I would get your pass at Roper and come back to see Dankworth.
