Zorn Moving & Storage

We just used this company to move my mother across the United States. She has over three pages of damages, and I mean major damages to her fine furntiure. They sheared the top of a game table off the pedestal, sheared off the legs off a bench, we have major chips out of expensive dinning room table, armoire gouged on the side and on the front, almost all the wood furntiure has scrapes, when packing the clothes that need to be hung, they hung some and shoved the rest in the bottom of it. Termperpedic king mattress was not covered and was pushed along the dirty truck and is all dirty. They never used any bubble wrap only paper and this caused some damage to a big glass expensive dispenser. If you could see how they packed things it is amazing that a lot more wasn’t broken. My mother called Mr. Zorn and he said, things move when the driver is driving, and didn’t seem to care. I get that, but things were not packed carefully. If you could have seen these things you would never use them. When I called National, the lady on the phone couldn’t believe what I described to her. BEWARE. The movers that unpacked in Texas, there mouth was opened when they opened the truck and said they have never seen a packing job like that and then were appauled and told us how sorry they were for us. They would open a box and show us what it looked like before they took it out.

My parents chose this moving company before looking on Unilocal and I’m glad things turned out the way they did because despite what some of the other reviews say, these guys were awesome. They were friendly and professional. They stayed til the very end to make sure the job was done. They worked hard and the best part is that nothing was broken. That’s deserves 5-​stars in my book. I would definitely recommend these guys for anyone’s next move.

The gentleman were very helpful and great! They showed up right on time and were very helpful! We solely needed help unloading the truck and storing in a garage. They were courteous of the boxes and our personal items. They payed close attention to reading the boxes and saying «Fragile». I would recommend using them!

Would never recommend using this Moving Company. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. They didn’t show up until almost 9:30 to start the move, they were super slow the entire time, they took a break less than an hour after they got to my home. They didn’t wrap up my furniture properly– causing multiple pieces to get scratched, scraped, broken, etc. They drove about 25 mph while in route to the home I was moving into and then charged me driving time + fuel for their trip to my new home and their trip from their original location to the home that I moved out of. It was about $ 300 just for their driving time– and I only moved from Roseville to Lincoln. I was so frustrated with them, I didn’t even have them take all the boxes into the home when unpacking, they left a lot of stuff in the garage. The total cost was over $ 1200…and keep in mind, I’m a single person with a lightly furnished home. We ended up stopping payment on the check and negotiated to settle for $ 850. What a complete rip off, don’t ever use this company!

Stay away from Zorn Movers. Let me start by they overcharge for the hours worked by charging us for their frequent breaks and stops. The movers ran 2 loads and each time stopped at Safeway for over an hour each trip and charged us for travel time while they sat in the parking lot — yes, I followed them. On top of that, they charged 1.5 hours for their lunch.
As far as quality, they damaged wall in the home we moved from and took out a corner of a wall at our new home. They broke a the corner off a hutch. When I asked them about their damage, they said they couldn’t do anything about it.
I contacted Tarek Zorn about refunding some of the hours that his crew overcharged and the damages. He agreed to but never paid a dime. I called him 3 times and he gave the same story that he had contacted his San Jose office. No refund.
Stay away from Zorn Movers. They are terrible, unreliable, and ripoffs.
