Went to the office on Zinfandel for my first prenatal visit. When I got there, from the start I noticed the office wasn’t up to par on cleanliness. There was one toy for children to play with that had never been cleaned it was all black and I can’t imagine the bacteria! The only good thing I can say is the office staff were extremely easy to talk to, very helpful and very nice. I was asked to pee in a cup… a cup that is used for drinking water. I was thrown back by that because I have never been asked to pee in a cup like that at a doctors office. Then we had to write our own names on the cup with a sharpie! Very unprofessional. When I got back to see the doctor he was in his office at a desk? Another new for me. It was my first prenatal visit I had no idea what to expect. I sat down and he said very obvious responses like«your pregnant, congrats». oK? He proceeded to mark over my chart really fast and then asked«do you have any questions?» I said yeah, what is this visit going to entail?” I shouldn’t have had to ask that, another red flag… Typically doctors wil guide you through, especially if it’s your fist visit. All he wanted to do was prescribe me medicine and get me out of there. I asked him if I could have an ultrasound done. He said no you have to wait till your 10 weeks for that… But um the next day I called Kaiser and they wanted to get me in for an ultrasound before 10 weeks? Luckily I’m going with them and they do everything«normal». Overall he was too casual, didn’t give me enough information, seemed not to be cautious enough about my baby and medications etc. It was a verrry awkward meeting and left much to be yearned when I left. I knew right away I would not come back. Basically this place is for people with LOWSTANDARDS

I went to Dr. Womach’s office in Rancho Cordova near Zinfandel Dr. I lost my insurance and I came here because medi-cal referred me. I had an emergency, and I wasn’t able to see my other doctor until my insurance kicked in. I am 17 weeks pregnant. I have a really bad infection, and I needed it to get looked at fast. The staff was nice, but not very professional. Dr. Womach was nice, but it was rather awkward the way things were handled. I sat down in his office to talk to him personally, which i’ve never had to do before. He then led me to a room to give me an exam. He came in, by himself… no assistant. He proceeded to jump in and give me an exam without telling me what he was going to do, or when he was about to start. I had to have a pap, and a swab, so if your a woman, maybe you can understand how uncomfortable it is to have someone dive right into your bits without notice with these types of exams. He told me he didn’t think I had an infection, that it didn’t look like one, but sent off a culture anyway. He sent me home with verbal instructions on how to help me heal. It didn’t get any better, but worse. I called back on Monday and I talked to the receptionist about my results. As she was looking through the lab work, she said, «nope, no infections here! Looks like your good to go!» and as I was in the middle of saying thank you, she cuts me off and goes«Oh! oh… wait a minute. Oops, you have an infection.» Well, that summed it up. Needless to say I called medi-cal to get my ID number so I could go back to my real doctor. I saw her today and she confirmed that I did have an infection. i shared with her the instructions I received on how to care for this particular infection, and she was appalled. She said it was the exact opposite of what you should do and it probably would have healed better on it’s own had I not been doing what he recommended. I’m currently doing research on how to file a complaint. This was just a sick experience. The infection I have can cause complications with my pregnancy.
