Love this place. My mom sister and I come here on occasion when we can get together. Great massage to go with the nail experience and always friendly and welcoming.

This place is a hidden gem. It’s hard to find, as they only have a tiny sign in the window facing 54th Street not H Street. The ladies who were working were so friendly and nice. It is the first time I have gone to a nail salon and the manicurist actually spoke to me(the entire time!). They did a wonderful job. It’s cash only. It’s not smelly and loud like most nail salons. I would highly recommend going here! I will never go to another nail salon again. They should have all 5 star reviews.

Great little nail salon close to home. I wasn’t sure what to expect since most of the Unilocal reviews are pretty old. The shop wasn’t an empty house like an earlier review stated, so they’ve definitely added appropriate nail salon furniture(but no massage chairs), décor and supplies over the years. All employees and clients were extremely friendly and welcoming to this newbie. Everyone was happy, smiling, and chatty but not annoyingly so. It felt as though I had dropped by for a quick family visit… just a really relaxed vibe. I called at 11:30 am and they were able to see me at 12:15. Lee did a great job with my pedi and picked out some really pretty glittery polish that I wouldn’t have chosen myself since I’m on the conservative side, but I love it. She did the usual: foot soak, gentle massage, cuticles and polish. It all took a little less than an hour, and now my Fred Flinstone feet look as pretty as they could possibly ever look! The cost for this first-time visit was $ 25 cash plus tip. I was sent home with some of the tools they used on me and was told to bring them with me next time. Future pedis will cost $ 22 cash + tip but I need to remember to bring the items they gave me today. Aso bring cash since they don’t accept cards. Definitely coming back!

I’ve gone to Waa’s many times and have tried other places with a nicer setting and fancy massage chairs but I keep going back to Waa’s because they are by far the nicest staff ever. I’ve been going for quite a few years and there doesn’t seem to be any turnover. Also, their pedicures are great!

My 30th birthday did NOT go as planned. After a major car snafu that had me in the parking lot of pep boys for 4 hours w/o fixing the problem i went there to address, I’d missed my scheduled birthday pedicure. I got fed up and left there as soon as my car was drivable, and checked Unilocal on my phone. Waa’s had some mixed reviews, but the $ 20 price I saw on here was what I’d been planning to pay earlier, so I called the number and the very personable voice on the other end of the line said«i can hear you driving, come in now!» so that’s exactly what I did! For the record, the house IS marked now with a sign or two, so it was easy to find. It IS definitely a different experience than any spa, but the pedicure itself didn’t suffer from the lack of fancy massage chairs or ambiance. The pedicure chairs are just big lazy-boys covered in bed sheets, the tubs the kind you get at target for home use, placed on a padded garage floor piece in front of you. I was plenty entertained by the daughter of one of the employees or owners(not sure) who was super adorable and helped a few times, bringing the cart of colors around to me and another customer. The ladies were all very nice and asked me about my day and told me Happy Birthday when they let me vent a bit about my morning, and the woman who worked on me beat the hell out of my feet and it was great. It’s probably the first massage I’ve enjoyed while getting a pedi instead of just the awkward«hi i don’t know you and you’re touching my feet» feeling. She worked so much on my cuticles and did such a great job! It was $ 25 and although I miss that chair that rubs out the knots on my back, Saving $ 15 and a drive to natomas made it a pretty good deal.

I had first been to Waa’s several years ago when the real estate company I worked for would go over for manis/pedis, so I knew what to expect(it being in a house, etc). I made an appointment for a pedicure, and Rose gave me the works. Yes, it was just a plastic tub to soak in, but let’s face it, isn’t the best part the massage and scrubbing? It was about 75 minutes of pure bliss, and my feet look fantastic! All this for $ 25US — can’t beat that!

I’ve gone to Waa’s off and on for a couple of years. My feet always feel so much better after their pedicure. The little tan house across the street from the liquor/convenience store on H Street used to have a sign on it, but it’s gone now. Very reasonably priced(pedicure $ 20; manicure is $ 15), and I love the soak and massage. Every time I ask one of my friends where they go for a pedicure, the answer is Waa’s.

I’m wavering on my stars. I could go as low as three, but it’s really more like a 3.5 or four, if only for the freakishness of the experience. Waa’s Nails is located in an unmarked(so far as I can tell) house. That makes it very difficult to find. I felt like I was walking into someone’s really empty living room. Or like they are squatting at the house and moved a bunch of recliners and those spa pedicure things you buy at Target into an empty house one night when nobody was looking. Anyway, despite appearances, and the fact that we were having some fairly decent language barrier issues, my pedicure was good(great, even). They aren’t there to make small talk. The woman who did my pedicure was all business. But when I left my legs were relaxed from the massage, my feet were scrubbed, and my nails looked good. Cash only. $ 20 before tip for the pedicure.

Located on the corner of 54th and Hst this nail salon has converted a house into the business. Parking may be tricky but well worth it for only $ 20 you will get an excellent pedicure that will heal even the roughest feet. I will go back time and time again. Go ahead call and make an appointment and your feet will love you!
