First time here and I can’t believe I have not ever been here before. This will now be a regular place to visit at least once a week. Had the Pastrami Dog and it was delish.

Had a quick lunch here with the girlfriend. Basic chili cheese dog but was still very tasty. They have a variety of options for hotdogs. Next time I come back I will try the bacon wrapped hot dog. It was also very nice to see multiple customers coming in and calling the staff by name. I will return someday.

Glad they’re there for when I’m craving a dog. Have had the ranch dog, was only just OK, and the pastrami dog which was a pretty huge portion and really delish. The prices are pretty good and the place is small but down to earth.

My husband and I like that the hotdogs are steamed and has that«pop» in every bite. The buns are really good too. I had the windy dog and hubby had BBQ coney dog. We can’t wait to try the other stuff on the menu.

I walked in expecting a hip hotdog place(think Pinks in LA) and found it to be a diner. It felt like I was at my grandmas house with steamed hot dogs and homemade soups. The hotdog was tasty but I’ll be back for the soups. Also, the beers are pretty cheap!

OK, I just had the best dog I ever had in Sacramento! I ordered the Windy City and even though they left off their homemade cucumber relish, it was outstanding. The dog had that snap when I bit into it on a soft steamed bun. The onions, mustard, pepperocini, dill pickle spear, all complimented the hot dog. Darn, why did they leave off the relish? Otherwise a 5 star experience! Next time you guys! I’ll remind you next time since I ordered it to-go.

I immediately knew I was coming back, and it’s a ways away from our house, and off the beaten path. Friendly, tentative staff was very open to helping me figure out what I wanted to order. We came around 3pm on a Wednesday and it wasn’t too busy. We sat at the bar-table and they never let our ice cold root beer get empty! Our food was delicious and was freshly made. It didn’t take long at all for our food to be prepared and we watched how it was put together. Careful of the hot sauce tho, we found one that meant business! Great experience overall and I look forward to driving across town for this meal in the near future.

Love this spot. The hours can be a little weird because it’s family owned and operated, but the food is fantastic. The frozen root beer is delicious and free with the Unilocal check in. The owner is a really nice guy. I would definitely recommend stopping by.

Amazing! I love hot dogs, I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while but they close so early I can never make it in time. But I finally did! I came in at 3pm and ordered a chili dog(chili, cheese, onions) I got no onions, but anyway. I checked in and got a free frozen root beer. It didn’t seem frozen but it was extremely good for a very long time. It was very refreshing. The chili was good and they out a generous amount of cheese, which I love. The prices on the menu are very decent. My chili dog was under 6 dollars and I was definitely full after scarfing to down. I will for sure be visiting this place and see myself being a regular very soon. The blt dog is next on my list!

As I was sitting there at my usual spot in Tupelo minding my own business, a craving boorishly barges in, walks up to my table, looks me in the eye and he says, «…wattup Kurt let’s go get us some wieners.» Well, craving, I’m not that familiar of any good wiener places in town. Unilocal aka«The Enabler» to the rescue as usual, lo and behold there’s one right across the street! Could that have been more of a sign than anything? Especially with that name, I was obligated to cave in and jaywalk. SLOPPYFRANK($ 5.45) — open face with sliced hotdogs in chili, onions, crumbled bacon, with cheddar nacho cheese. Frankly, it was really sloppy ~ I have no idea why I chose this one when there were other items on the menu I thought would be better. Don’t get me wrong it was good — the hotdogs, onions, and the bacon in particular was a nice touch. I just felt like anyone could easily make this at home in less than two minutes, which was about the same amount of time it took for them to take my order, prep my food, hand it to me, and finished my credit card transaction. Maybe next time I’ll try the Windy City or the Summer Dog! Thanks to Tupelo I might just pay them that next visit soon.

I am alternatively elated and depressed with my first visit to The Wienery. Elated because it’s hot dogs… all hot dogs… which I love and could happily eat a hot dog with all the trimmings every day of the rest of my life, until my teeth fall out and I’m forced to put it in a blender. Depressed because I worked on 57th Street for 2 years, right next door to The Wienery, and never went in until now almost a decade later. ALLTHESEWASTEDYEARS! *sob* It’s a little corner diner in a shopping center, a bit divey(which I like) with a mellow cozy atmosphere. They’ve got a huge menu packed with many dog options and the prices are pretty reasonable. The people behind the counter were friendly, the service was prompt, and I got my dog in like 2 – 3 minutes. I got the nacho dog(nacho cheese, bacon and onion, minus the jalapenos) and my taste buds sang a joyous symphony. Nacho cheese, please, in and around my mouth. And I noticed they have a «summer dog» on their menu– ya best believe I am running back soon to try that one out! :D
