If i could give it zero stars i would. The pastrami meat is fake pastrami Bologna. Don’t even get me started on the cheesesteak the meat for the cheese steak is made of carne asada meat and there’s a big different from the stake you use for cheese steaks and carne asada steak. This place is horrible

A friend of mine took me here. He told me how he used to work down the street years ago and this place was great. He’s so embarrassed now. This place is horrible. Whatever it may have been in the past was left in the past. I should have worried a bit more when I saw how empty and filthy the place is, but no, my buddy said they had great food and I love Philly Cheese Steaks, so I ordered. Oh was I sorry. I ordered the Philly Cheese Steak meal which came with fries and a drink. The Pepsi was the best part. It helped wash down the tasteless garbage they served. The fries were the standard frozen fries. What else can I say. I couldn’t believe the bread they had the gall to serve. It just crushed in my hand. There was nothing to it. What meat there was tasteless and the cheese was even harder to find. There were a few little pieces of onion I think. It was hard to tell. This was the worst excuse for a Philly Cheese Steak I’ve ever had. Do not subject yourself to this.

I’ve had a few different sandwiches here and its not bad. Howevvaaaah, it just doesn’t give you that OMG this is unreal kind of yummy. Philly, Philly, Philly… Do you Phill me? Yeah and so its just an a-okay to me. Idk what it is but something is just missing without that ooh lala signature mouthwatering I need more super sensational goodness to it. The bread can get a little soggy if u dont eat it quickly and fries are a little too crispy for my taste but on the bright side, they give healthy portions, there are TVs showing the latest sports and they do give friendly customer service. With all that being said, I would still venture here another time because well I still do love me some philly cheesesteaks and thats a-okay with me. =)

Not really sure why this place has a 4 star rating. The sandwiches are not very good. The cheese is highly processed(did not taste good), the bread is just so-so, and the whole thing is extremely messy.(Sauce all over the place) It just comes across as low-quality food, in my opinion. To top it off, the prices are too high for what you get… example: the onion rings are almost $ 4, for just a small bag. I spent $ 10 on a very underwhelming meal. I would say pass on this one.

Okay, I read the mixed reviews, but opted to dive in and try it. Called in the order to go, so I didn’t see the food until we arrived home. We ordered the seasoned fries(based on Unilocal reviews) good call for taste. The order was incredibly small and not inexpensive for the small size. While they tasted good, they were greasy sticks. I was disappointed when I opened the box… Little cheese, but the meat looked appealing. I must say, great tasting sandwich. Good flavor. Fresh mushrooms and peppers. Wasn’t a fan of the roll. Tasted microwaved. Chewy and dry. Add a tad more cheese and it would have been better. Four stars for prompt/good service, and good tasting meat!

Great meal… cheese steak with provolone, mushrooms, onions and peppers done perfectly. The roll was fresh and nicely steamed, fries were very good as well. If you like a good cheese steak give this place a try. I have eaten at the places that supposedly are the best… Pat’s and Geno’s in Philadelphia, and honestly this sandwich was as good or better.

Was good, but you could tell the meat was over processed, very salty, but it WAS tender. The cheese was also low quality, but that is kinda the whole point of a cheesesteak with wiz I guess. Bread was ok but nothing special. Price point was appropriate. Ambiance is definitely run down restaurant. Despite the sandwich looking big to start with, honestly did not fill me up, seemed skimpy on the meat. Fries were bomb.

My seasoned fries had potential but they tasted old and stale… sandwich had NO cheese WTH and I asked for GRILLED jalapeños and got cold ones thrown on top! Live right around the corner love Cheesesteaks but I will never come here again! I’d rather go to Subway!

Some of my co-workers recommended this place as a good option for lunch. So I decided to drop in and give them a try. I ordered the regular cheesesteak with cheese sauce and it was pretty good. I went back about a week later and tried the ‘Works’ with cheese sauce and that was the one for me. After trying the ‘Works’ this place moved up to being my current favorite place to get a cheesesteak. Honestly, I think it was the cheese sauce that sold me on their sandwiches. I’d recommend giving them a try if you enjoy a good cheesesteak.

Based on the good reviews, we landed here for lunch last week. I decided to try the cheesesteak and hotlink combo sandwich. It was good, not great. I really prefer my onions and peppers to be cooked through(not crunchy). Also the meat was a little bland. I did like the cheese sauce option, felt very Philly to me. My wife had the standard cheesesteak without peppers and onions. She was overall happy, but we both agreed there are better places in town to get a cheesesteak sandwich. The Cheese fries will a nice treat but nothing all that special. I have had much worse cheesesteaks, but I have also had much better.

Yeah the Cheesesteak was good. I’ve always been curious about this palce because I live a block away. I ordered a cheesesteak with melted cheedar cheese. It was great. I ordered«for here.» The sanitation just didn’t feel right. I’m sure its clean, but I guess its one of those«hole in the wall» feel and just felt a little grimey. But hey, I was satisfied!

Co-workers picked the food up. So good. I ordered the works with added jalapeños and they’re cheddar cheese sauce, so good. Jalapeños are a must for this cheese steak to give it a little kick! All this for $ 7.20

Another disappointed Unilocaler… My sweetie loves cheesesteaks so after reading the Unilocal reviews I made sure to stop by. The cheesesteak was dry and not nearly cheesy enough. The hoagie was like one you would make at home when you don’t have any ingredients for a hot dinner, simple and quick. The fries were meh, there was a VERY limited selection of items on the menu and I feel like the prices were way too high for what we got. This place is also located in a less-than-desirable strip mall area. We won’t be back.

After reading the reviews, I made this place a must-eat. But I was sorely disappointed. The cheesesteak here is dry, under-seasoned, and bland. It takes like dry frozen Steak-Umms. I’ve had much better in Sacramento that come much closer to the east coast origins. One redeeming factor is that the meat portion seemed generous for the size of the roll. I eat cheesesteaks regularly having come from the east coast, but I wouldn’t come back for this one.

Grabbed a sandwich to go yesterday. Meat, peppers, onions, ‘shrooms all covered in gooey cheese Wiz. Very tasty! The inside of the place is clean but rather drab, but in my opinion the sandwiches more than make up for the lack of snazzy surroundings. I will definitely be back!

I come here occasionally when I’m craving for a hot fulfilling cheesesteak sandwich! I would highly recommend their #3 cheesesteak mushroom and pepper sandwich! It’s about 6 inches long with ample amount of meat and cheese. It’s made when ordered and super delish. Fries are also fried when ordered as well. This place probably could use a makeover. Furnishings and the big bulky TV from the 1990’s is a bit outdated. But nonetheless, places that look old school typically serves the best food!

I was shopping at Fisherman’s Warehouse pondering what to eat for lunch. My trusty Unilocal app showed me what was nearby and Philadelphia Cheesesteak popped up first. Suddenly, a philly cheesesteak was exactly what I was craving! I was half surprised that this establishment was owned by Koreans, only half because we were basically in Koreatown of Sacramento. The venue itself is your typical mom and pop type restaurant with about a dozen 4 seater tables. I was impressed to see 3TV’s playing the Olympics, definitely a plus, especially because I remember having a really awkward experience dining in silence at the Cheesesteak Shop in Elk Grove. Anyway! Their menu is very diner-friendly; they’ve got a low carb menu for the weight watchers, kids menu for the young’ns and even a few vegetarian options. Besides cheesesteaks, they also have hoagies and, wait for it… teriyaki plates?! They have a fine cheese selection, too: provolone, white American, Monterey jack or cheddar cheese sauce. I shamelessly look forward to my next visit where I shall be ordering the cheddar cheese sauce! I ordered a large #1: the cheesesteak«plus», which is regular cheesesteak with the addition of hot links! Upgraded that baby to a combo with seasoned fries and a fountain drink, which all came up to a bit less than $ 10. The cheesesteak itself wasn’t anything I can’t make at home. Nothing impressive, was actually almost a bit disappointed. but it satisfied the basic guidelines of a cheesesteak EXCEPT for the fact that there was barely enough cheese. –_– The seasoned fries were perfect and as was the ranch that came with it! The reason I’m giving Philadelphia Cheesesteak 4 stars is for their price, variety, cleanliness, good customer service and because they put pickles and jalapeño peppers on the side so you can grab as much as you want instead of charging you for them as an extra side! Best believe I got my fair share of jalapenos! They also provide all sorts of sauces from Tabasco to Tapatio and even Sriracha! Another plus is their variety of beer. They had the basics; Heineken, Corona, Budweiser. and also New Castle, Sierra Nevada and a couple other brands. I work down the street and will definitely be keeping this place in mind for my next lunch break!
