Paradies Shops is a small little store located inside the Sacramento Airport. They have snacks, drinks, shirts, knick knacks, books, etc. that are all over priced if you have the urge to just buy something or if you need something right before boarding your flight. I browsed their selection for a few minutes out of boredom and ended up purchasing a magazine and a paperback novel, spending $ 18.

It’s open at least and they have sealed food to take on the plane versus the food court options. It’s your typical convenience store in the airport with soda, munchies, and those token clothes and mementos to remind you that you were in Sacramento and California.

@ Susan R. Are you thinking of the right shop? Paradies shops(2) at the Sacramento Airport are both outside of the secured area and do not particularly carry jewelry of any kind, as far as I can remember. They offer magazines, travel stuff, snacks, etc. I’m pretty sure you’ve remembered the name incorrectly.

Not much to see here. Save your money for some thing to drink on the plane instead.

Yes. It’s an airport store. And yes. They have shops in about 30 airports across the country. I use them for last minute things I’ve forgotten, like tissue or aspirin. I buy water from their cooler. I buy books and magazines to keep me occupied when I’m in the air. I know I am paying a premium price but who cares because they are always right next to whatever gate I am flying out of. But here is the latest thing. And I happen to think it is brilliant! Too bad I didn’t come up with it. Buy any paperback book in any of their shops around the country. Read it. Return it to any of their shops with the receipt within 6 months and you get 50% off your next book. Now I know what to do with the countless paperbacks I always leave in the seat pockets of planes when I am finished with them. Brilliant. Why not 5 stars? They have dial up credit card authorization that always seems to take forever. Fix that inconvenience and it can’t be beat when you are on the road.
