Had dinner here awhile back. perhaps it was in April. Long wait to get seated. Long wait to get drinks. Food took a long time. Never did get our second bread. Never got our water refilled. Food was good. Got our check on time and paying took no time at all. But we’ll be back perhaps on a night when its not as hectic… thankfully we are patient people!

Place was ok, food was blah and service blah blah. I was honestly very disappointed, I remember hearing a lot of good things about this restaurant but it didn’t meet my expectations. The waiter took too long to take our order, and it took longer for us to get it. I order a refill on my lemonade and i never got it, extra napkings and never got them either. I don’t think that we will be returning.

I am a foodie an love trying new places. I was excited when I heard about this place so I went. The décor is amazing its like old catholic church meets train station an our server Nichole who was new an still training was awsome an super nice. There homemade bread was the best thing I ever tasted but my entrée the Chicken Marsala was really gross the noodles were dry with sprinkled cheese an my ckn was fried an like they had a peice already cooked that sat there for hours then served it the brown sauce on top was xtra gross. And my cocktail was mediocre came in a regular glass not even a cocktail glass an it was gross as well. I will not be coming back as a foodie this place was not good an foodies do not like sending food back but i had to!

This is one of my family’s go to places every time we pass through Sacramento. Our kids love it here. My favorite pasta is the Clam/Mushroom Spaghetti, and the salad with pesto dressing is pretty tasty. The service is okay, not a lot of excitement there — but not horrible either. When we checked in on a Saturday night, the wait was over an hour, which we normally would never be able to sit for with kids. The front desk took our phone # and offered to text us when our table was ready. That was so helpful, as it allowed us to check into our hotel a mile away, and come back(allowing our busy kiddos to explore instead of wait in a lobby). We’ll be back, again and again.

Love, love, love. Go at happy hour for great drink specials. I always order managers favorite with clam and marinara. The mizithra is also amazing.

This is my favorite resturant however, after today I will never be returning. We had a reservation for 5 people at 6pm. we got here and checked in at 5:50pm. We barely got called for a table after 7:00pm. The lady at the front desk told us 30 minute wait and it turned into an hour. The lady at the desk kept telling me 2 more people ahead of me. She called a table of 5,6,18,2,2,6 and then us. I am so mad I lost my apeitite. NOMILITARYDISCOUNTS. They are also all out of the Italian Soda glass you get to take home. If you order a beer and ask for glass it will be hot.

Came In Excited, Walked Out And Will NEVER Come Back!!! We had not been to an Old Spaghetti Factory restaurant in a long time and we thought it would be great to try it again while visiting Sacramento. When we approached the reception area the receptionist was helpful, friendly, and bubbly. It was Sunday at approximately 4:30PM. The receptionist said there would be approximately a 45 minute wait. I asked if we could be served in the bar and she said yes. I walked into the bar and asked the bartender if they had any happy hour specials. To my great surprise she snapped back«no we don’t have any.» I said OK and took a seat at an open table in the bar area. While waiting for my server to come to the table, I kept noticing the female bartender scowling at me. It made me feel incredibly unwelcome. The waiter came to the table and was very helpful and left some menus. Again I noticed the bartender scowling at me, I told my wife I didn’t feel comfortable and I thought it would be a bad idea to stay. On my way out, I stopped in the reception area and asked the receptionist to kindly tell the manager that I was leaving because I felt very unwelcome in the bar and the bartender continued to give me scowling looks for at least five minutes. The receptionist attempted to turn things around, but by this point I was beyond the point of no return. I left and I don’t expect to ever set foot in the Old Spaghetti Factory in Sacramento EVER!

Had the WORST experience in OSP last night. Which is so very odd, it’s always great! The waitress, whose name is didn’t get because we literally saw her a couple of times, was awful. There was no courtesy to her at all. We ordered our meals plus an appetizers of olive tapenade. That came out greasy and the bread was covered in oil. Did she come bk to check on us so we can tell her? Nope. Another server brought our waters and salads. Salads were okay, per usual. Different server brought our entrees and let us know that the bread was being remade because it was really hard. We let her know that that we were waiting for our broccoli. She was very nice and said she would check on it. Our server came out with the broccoli with mizzithra, we specifically told her no cheese. She grabbed the plate angrily and headed back to the kitchen. So much time had passed, our waters were out, there was no bread, the service was funky as hell so when she finally brought the broccoli with no cheese we declined it and asked for the check. She walks away in a huff. The manager assists us with the rest of our experience. She says i took the broccoli off your bill, gee thanks? We didn’t even eat it. I wanted to tell her how terrible our server was but by this time, I was done. The manager obviously thought we were pain in the ass patrons. Not at all. We just wanted an appetizer that wasn’t soaked in oil, our broccoli with our meal and water to wash down the hard ass bread down with. Too much? We won’t be coming back to this spaghetti factory for a very long time. Such a shame!

Consistently good! Love the half and half! I’ve eaten at a half dozen OSF’s and it is my favorite Italian restaurant in every city. Many«can’t miss» meals … Give one a try! Our server was friendly and efficient. Good help from the kitchen staff too. In every way a great meal!

1. Service: The waitress we had did a good job taking our large party’s order and providing good service, but waiting for the food took a long time. The soup and bread they brought out were good but our party waited more than half an hour after our soup or salad was finished until the main dishes finally got brought to the table. 2. Inside the building: the place was very decorative and held a lot of historical elements since I guess it used to be a train station. There are a lot of antiques inside like furniture, old arcade games and lighting. With the lighting, they could’ve tried to make the rooms brighter. It was hard to see the menu and the faces of the people I was eating with. 3. Food: the soup, salad and dessert were good. My brother is lactose intolerant and they did not have any non-dairy frozen desserts. The food was so-so. I ordered a pasta dish with meat and there was barely any meat included. Also there was not too much sauce included. I ordered a «spicy» spaghetti dish and it was not spicy at all.

We always love going to The Old Spaghetti Factory when we are near one and this is the main one we visit(followed by the one in Stockton, CA). Tonight we got our food to go since we are traveling with our dog. Everything was really tasty as always, but they totally forgot my Italian sausage to go with my gluten free pasta and marinara. By the time Hubby got back to the hotel with all the goodies and we discovered the omission… it was definitely not worth the drive back(that would include his frustration with the traffic and parking situation down there tonight)… so, I had to do with out. :(Being gluten free, I also had to do without the yummy bread(I last tasted this in 2012) as well as the extra bread appetizer my guys ordered of garlic bread with pepperoni. Yes… I’m feeling a bit deprived… LOL Their gluten free items are pretty clear on their menu, but remember to order your salad without croutons, the soup is not gluten free, and their Parmesan cheese isn’t gluten free. When I am eating in the restaurant, I ask for some shredded cheese instead(can’t remember if it’s Romano or Asiago). The only gluten free pasta is a bite-sized one… maybe rotini? Both ice cream flavors are gluten free. Yay! Tonight I would give them a 3 since they forgot an important part of my dinner(even though the person taking my order repeated my order back to me and she definitely had it on there at that time). I sometimes would give them a 5 since we love this place so much and try to go here most times we are in or going through Sacramento, so I will give them a solid 4 at this time.

This place was pretty good, I have seen this place for years but never tried it out, they have a nice bar area it’s like a lounge but very quite like I like and peaceful, the restaurant gets a little packed and the seating be a little close but the food was great and very nice scenery in the place.

Based on service, I’m giving this place 2 stars. Upon our party’s arrival to this establishment, we made our way into the back dining area. My usually, Darth Vader-like strode was reduced to a slow, show horse pony-like trot, since the restaurant floor was very slick and overly polished. A deck, that is comparable to greasy, bowling alley lanes. Maybe it was my fault for my shoe choice that evening.(I was sporty some very sexy looking wing tips) Shorty after our party sat down, our foreigner server took down our drink orders. When it was my turn, I ordered tea. With his thick accent, our server asked me, what kind of tea would I like. I calmly answered, «unsweetened tea… Because I’m sweet enough…» Behind the server’s glasses, I witnessed a sparkle in his eyes, while he quietly exhaled a flirtatious chuckle, followed by him biting his bottom lip. This made me a little uncomfortable, especially because I am a heterosexual man, sitting next to my beautiful wife. Maybe, I’m just imagining things, or perhaps this young man had misconstrued my joke, for an invitation for casual butt sex. Anyways… The food was ok. I would have been more satisfied with my spinach tortellinis, if it had more sauce.

EXCELLENT service, very friendly staff. We were in a party of 27 people and we were so impressed with how quickly and accurately everything was served. This is a good place to have a large get together. We were here for a retirement party. That being said, I taking one star off because I found the marinara sauce to be quite bland. As far as Italian food goes, I’ve had better. It’s comparable to the Olive Garden’s food. The fresh sourdough bread and garlic butter was so good, and the booze was great as well. The ambiance was very romantic with low lighting. The furnishings are very unique. Highly recommend for large parties or a date night

I don’t know how I’ve passed by this place so many times and never gave it a thought. Though it looks and sounds like a tacky chain from the outside, $ 12 for a solid 3 course meal which includes salad with pesto dressing, spaghetti with a multitude of sauces(if you can’t choose, go w/the pot pourri), and spumoni is a winner in my book. Good spot if you need a carb load.

I finally tried Old Spaghetti Factory for the first time and man have I been missing out! The lasagna here was delicious as well as their salad. The caesar salad was flavorful and something about the salad’s dressing was tasty and just GOOD. As for the lasagna… I am a big fan of their lasagna! IT was saucy and flavorful. I liked how the flavoring wasn’t too empowering or strong where I would quickly get tired of the dish. It won’t be my last time here! I look forward to coming back here to try their other dishes as well such as their pasta.etc. I also like the ambience and design of the restaurant as well because it gives a vintage-y vibe =)

When I «Checked in» here and saw that this place only had 3 stars, I thought there was no way that I would be leaving rating one of my favorite child hood memories a 3 star review. We went in with 10 adults and five children! We were seated in the private room! We all ordered our round of drinks. After ordering it took nearly 15 minutes for our first round of drinks to be delivered! I couldn’t figure out why this took so long, until they brought the drinks out with all the soups and salads. I was really disappointed with this, when I worked in food service; you brought the drinks out right after they were ordered! At this point, I was already considering a 4 star review, if things didn’t get better! The soups were good and the salad was ok! The bread was the best part! I was a little disappointed that they didn’t have that dark brown bread they used to have 6 – 7 years ago! That was my favorite bread! After eating my salad, I excused myself to the restroom to let the manager know that it was my Step-moms 55th birthday. I told him her name, where she was sitting at the table and what table we were sitting at. The entrees came out! I ordered what I always have ordered, Spinach Tortellini with Alfredo sauce! The portion of food on this particular plate was rather disappointing; I actually counted how many tortellinis’ I had! 16 on the whole plate!, needless to see I was finished with my dinner long before everyone else! Everyone else’s portion looked huge, especially my sister’s chicken Cesar Salad! At this point, I am thinking 3.5 to stars. The last part was the ice cream and birthday celebration! Mmmmm I love their ice cream! The vanilla is delicious, but their Spumoni Ice cream is my favorite! Spumoni ice cream is Italian ice cream with vanilla, strawberry and chocolate mixed with fruits and nuts! The end! Oh wait, I forgot to tell you about the birthday celebration. No wait I didn’t forget, they did! Complete customer service fail! 3 stars.

I have been to the Old Spaghetti Factory location in Roseville and now I have been to the one in Sacramento. I have had similar experiences in each which is great because I love consistency in chains. The service is always great which was no exception here. The servers helping our large party were very helpful and timely. Our food came out quickly, our cups were always filled, and when we needed something it was brought over in a timely manner. That being said, for me, the food here remains consistently average. Take this as you may, for I am well aware I’m a pasta snob. If your pasta isn’t made in house, it automatically gets an average rating from me. What I do love about this place is that every meal is a complete meal. Every entrée comes with bread, soup or salad, and ice cream for dessert. Yay! I ordered their Mizithra Pasta which is a very different cheese pasta with a brown butter sauce. It was good, but as I have come to learn, I always have to ask for extra sauce otherwise the pasta is dry. They seriously skimp on the sauce. I really loved their«creamy pesto dressing» on my salad and would definitely order it again. And of course, the Spumoni ice cream was on point. Who picks vanilla?! I would come back to the Old Spaghetti Factory again if someone wanted to go, but I wouldn’t crave it enough that I would just HAVE to come back.
