There was a person in an apron almost at every corner to ask for help. We went to get a tree today and they were very efficient. The tree was trimmed and put in a net by the time we went in to pay for it and came out. One gentleman seemed like he was the main guy holding the fort yet he still asked if we needed help to put the tree in top of the car. We said no so that he could keep his productivity going but the next person used his help anyway. Helpful group of people.

My husband and I are all about doing things yourself. We have owned our house for over 6 years now and we are constantly doing projects/upgrades to it and we go to Home Depot quite a bit. Our newest project is completely remodeling our master bathroom and our guest bathroom. It’s our first time working on plumbing so there have been many times where we’ve had to go back and exchange items. Every time we have come back to do a return, it has been easy and quick. We’ve never had an issue! Since this is our first time working on plumbing, we’ve been really relying on the knowledge of their staff. Every time we go in to ask questions about the proper tools we need or how to go about doing something, each person knows what we need and where to find it. It’s definitely made our project easier! My husband does A TON of research before hand too, so we do go in with some knowledge on what we need to get, which probably helps move things along. One employee in particular has helped us a couple of times, Bob, is his name I believe. He was such an amazing help! He is very knowledgeable in the plumbing area and very friendly!

Went in the store with an idea age a drawing. Justin and Brian in the Lumber department made my idea come to life. They were the most helpful and nicest guys that didn’t make me feel awkward about having my concept on paper. Hats off to these guys!

Horrible experience. Not one nice employee. All employees were complaining about their jobs. Terrible experience. Girl at the front was cussing about her manager. I will never be back and tell all of my experience here.

HORRIBLERETURNPOLICY, SECRETLYHIDDENFROMCUSTOMERS, Purchased $ 650 worth of ceiling fans, light switches, led lights, etc. Needed to return the light switches because they were not compatible with our ceiling fans. HD refused to refund ANYTHING on this receipt because I used an $ 11 in store credit towards this purchase. Apparently anything bought with an Instore credit is NON-REFUNDABLE. Meaning, anything on the receipt is non-refundable, regardless of what it is. If anything was wrong with these ceiling fans, I would be stuck with them because of this $ 11 in store credit. I went to return the light switches an to get my $ 130 back and they REFUSED a return. Two were unopened and one was, which is how we found out then we’re not compatible. I had the packaging and the receipt to prove I purchased this, also using my credit card, but they said its store policy not to refund anything on the receipt used with an instore credit. WTF??? I am so pissed. Not only did I buy the damn thing, since I have the receipt to prove it, but at no point, from the cashier, was I told if I used this I store credit, everything purchased on this receipt is null and void for a return. I also see that they will not refund ANYTHING on a recipe that had a military discount given. They state you must return everything on the receipt in order to get a refund for one item you are just trying to return. What… So if I bought five items but just one doesn’t fit right, then I have to return all of them? WHODOESTHIS? Never heard of this or experienced this in my entire life. What a freaking ripoff. Became full what you buy and how to buy it or they’ll keep your money.

I buy wood panels for my art, which makes me come here more often than I would like. Their customer service is not good at all. I was here yesterday and it made me remember all the other shitty times I have been here. I swear every time I go, employees are huddled together in front of the building and inside by the front doors(lumber section). Yesterday I came in and asked one of the ladies standing around the front about the wood I needed and how I needed it cut down too.(I asked someone immediately cause other times I took forever searching for the 8ft x 4ft panels then getting it down BYMYSELF and hauling it over to the cutting section and waiting there forever till i got someones attention for help.) So she was surprisingly helpful and got me my wood and took it to the cutter area. I didnt mind but she cut my wood unevenly, leaving me a random tiny piece, but whatever. I left while she was doing that to get a big cart thing for my wood, and when I came back she was gone already. So an older customer man helped me load it onto my cart. I went to the front of the store for checkout and I honestly could have walked out with this shit for free cause NOONE was paying any attention. I asked one of the cashiers on his phone at his register if he was open and he just looked at me, So I took that as a yes and went over to him and said Hi! –he said nothing, I told him I have one board just cut up so he half ass scanned my stuff, and I swiped my card and took off without him saying one damn word to me, I even said Bye! and he didn’t respond.(also I am a female customer with a huge cart of big ass wood and no one has offered to help me out) As I walked through the doors there was about 15 employees in front of the door who I had to yell EXCUSEME to, cause they were literally blocking the door way! (still offered no help) one last employee decided to walk right in front my me and my rolling cart while looking down at his phone walking HELLASLOW, he had no idea I was even there. It was like when you’re driving and some one cuts you off then goes reeeally slow, lol I was pissed! So not only do they not offer assistance but they are obstacles! I was so annoyed leaving here, I honestly couldn’t wait to come home and write a bad review.

The men in the lumber department don’t have a very good grasp on what cutting wood means. I say this bc I requested an odd piece of lumber to be cut and was told it was reduced price and therefore could not be cut. This is the first time I’ve been in a Home Depot that had this policy mind you my husband likes to tinker and build stuff. I found the irony in knowing the that all the other home depots in a 50 mile radius do cut any and all lumber they sell if requested some charge a fee Update: I just left the home Depot on Howe Ave and had a piece of wood from the reduced aisle cut, matter of fact I had 2 pieces cut and spray painted bc they hadn’t done it yet, I just found it ironic that I had no issue with this at a different home depot, seeing as they aren’t franchise stores hmmmmm…

Well, it’s pretty simple: they have everything u need for home improvement… Decent prices and I like how it is organized… Plenty of employees working, sometimes they seem they are being called up so they can avoid assisting costumers. I really enjoy the gardening area with the section of plants, flowers, backyard supplies, etc. they just had a great deal of 4 bags of mulch for only $ 10! Also I enjoy the return policy… I purchased 4 plants and the next week they were dead… Not sure if i over watered them, under watered them… But I took them back and they exchanged it with no issues. Also, they have propane refills! I mark off one star because it’s next to a Walmart and I HATE Walmart. It’s so ghetto and so are the people who work there! Back to Home Depot, the only competition is lowes… But I think Home Depot has slightly lower prices… It’s the Orange vs the BLue!

When you have a service oriented job, I dont know is NOT the answer, the correct answer would be, I will get someone who knows. Then when that person comes, tells you this will work, and you buy it, only to get home and find its the WRONG one. Piss poor service, they look at me like Im a cow. I dont have 3 hours to wait in lines for customer service and then try to find what i really need and back in line to buy it. The very least effort on their part would to have the correct item at cs and be done. But this constant harassment by not having information avail. not willing to find a solution is stupid. Lowes just got a new customer. …

Sometimes missing the smallest widget could hold up an entire project. So it was on my last tour in Sacramento, where my team needed a few odds and ends(locks, velcro, door stoppers, etc) to do things the right way. This Home Depot had most of what I was looking for, but what the had best of all was staff willing to drop their stocking duties to help me canvass the store in search of my odds and ends. I’m pretty sure I’ve walked it up and down twice, and got everything I needed(well, almost everything, but an employee here pointed me to ACE Hardware for the one thing Home Depot didn’t stock — so that counts too). Customer Service — in stock at this Home Depot.

Came here because my mom forced me to find out how to kill the moss in our backyard haha. I only went to the garden area, but I asked two of the people that worked there and they were SO helpful and so friendly! They not only told me what to get, but took me to the products and the proceeded to read the instructions and the differences between them. If only everyone was as kind as these two. If I ever have any more problems that my mom forces me to find out, I wouldn’t mind coming back here at all :)
