I hear they want to get rid of these people living in tents. WHY? How can I donate to these people? If anyone knows please send me some info.

Ontario, CA, has a tent city that’s 50% larger than ours by several accounts. But they didn’t elect a celebrity mayor, so you don’t see it on TV. If the city is concerned with tent city becoming a disease vector zone, why don’t they provide for better sanitation rather than march everyone to a new site that is so far removed from the social services for the homeless along North 12th?

You have to give it to the SacTown homeless, where Fargo and Johnson struggled to get the Big Tomato a little media attention, a few destitute folks living off the land got us noticed world-wide. San Francisco may think of us as an ugly stepsister, but hey, do they have hundreds of good folks camping along their beautiful river, with Oprah and a hundred other talking heads dying to come for a visit? I think not!
