Chido! «Don’t judge a book by it’s cover.» As with many amazing Unilocal spots, this place is a bit dubious. I succumbed to my daughter’s request, as we were waiting for hubs to look at garages at Delta Door(800014th Ave, Sacramento, CA95826), a few spaces down. So glad we overcame our fear of the ‘roach coach.’ Inside is a friendly lady and a super clean kitchen. Best ‘street taco’ I’ve had in ages! Yippee! $ 1.50 for a carne asada taco exactly how I like it– 2 small corn tortillas, fresh, super hot, tasty, moist, delicious, drip down your chin carne asada, fresh diced white onions and cilantro, and hot green salsa. Ahhh, my mouth is watering just thinking about it! They also have lengua, el pastor, etc, etc… Most of the Latinos were ordering gorditas– a thicker corn tortilla cut in half w/meat, lettuce, fresh grated cotija cheese(ask for a lime with it). It was good, but I think I enjoyed the taco better. Hubs carne asada burrito was huge, fresh, delicious, over-stuffed and only $ 5. 1st transaction– kids shared a bean and cheese burrito(ample and ‘better than Taco Bell,’ proclaimed DD1), 1 carne asada taco for me– $ 4.50. Yippee!!! Shamelessly, we went back about 3 times to order different things. Try the mango aloe vera drink– refreshing and not too sweet. A big hit, as we were fighting for sips among the familia. There is no signage in front of the truck. I believe it’s parked in the same spot, as some of the locals we talked with said it’s been there for several years. Seems like a frequent and beloved truck among many locals in the area(business park area w/small shops– auto, garage, etc). Love Unilocal for fabulous food finds like this. You’re welcome.
