Best Chinese food in Sac… literally every dish I’ve tried here is on point. The service is hit or miss depending on who you get, but the food is too good for it to bother me too much. Beef chow fun dry every time, and if you want to ball out get the Hong Kong style crab.

Good traditional Chinese food. We reserved two tables for an after wake event. There was the deep fried oyster, broccoli beef, tofu beef enoji, duck/skin in mini bread with plum sauce(penpee op), egg soup, Chinese broccoli(guy lahn), tomato beef over pan fried noodles, beef chow fun, honey walnut shrimp, chicken green mushroom, etc… we way over ordered, but all dishes were so good. A few of our guests didn’t even know this place existed although they live in the neighborhood.

This is comfort Chinese food which isn’t really for everyone. Some of it was exactly what I was looking for and some of it wasn’t. But what do you expect out of a family style dinner? You get some you lose some, but you still enjoy it all the same. If you aren’t here to share stuff with the people around you, you’re probably doing it wrong since the lazy susan will be sad. We had ordered the crab meat with fish maw soup, salt and pepper deep fried chicken, stir fry chicken with mushrooms, deep fried flounder, braised seafood with tofu clay pot, simmered mustard greens in broth, yee fu noodle with crab meat, and fijian fried rice. For what I enjoyed the most, I’d say the stir fry chicken with mushrooms, the deep fried flounder, braised seafood with tofu clay pot, and the crab meat with fish maw soup. I reaaaaaaaaaaaally wish I had asked for white pepper and chili oil on the side since I like changing the food a bit to my own tastes but I totally forgot as the meal went on. The dishes came out pretty quickly so over time I just kept eating and didn’t worry about the small stuff. Typically, I eat by myself so these type of worries don’t apply to family dinners. The crab meat with fish maw soup is hearty for Chinese soup, and not crazy spiced. It fills but doesn’t overexaggerate flavor. It is good to start but I’d still add a bit of spice just to kick it up a little for me. The stir fry chicken with mushrooms was on point. Good brown sauce to go with it, and the mix of mushrooms was good. I like when restaurants actually cook king mushrooms well since I’ve been at other places that leave it under cooked. This would generally leave the texture a little grainy unfortunately. Not my cup of tea. Also, honestly I like anything cooked in a clay pot. I feel like it makes everything inside the clay pot amazingly delectable. Tofu soaks up an amazing amount of flavor in this case so my vegetarian needs were well met in this case. The fried flounder was cooked well and one of the servers broke down the fish pulling out the main part of the skeletal structure of the fish which was a nice gesture. I like the work since it usually means I eat less of it. Better for the table and better for my gout. The yee fu noodle with crab meat didn’t pop enough for me. The crab meat was little and the noodles themselves didn’t hae much flavor to speak of so if there wasn’t crab meat it felt very basic. The simmered mustard greens were good but without spice. What I did like about them is that they weren’t overly oily. Maybe I’m too used to trying to include vegetables when they soak up way too much oil on a normal basis. Well cooked, needed flavor. Again, white pepper could’ve been my saving grace for much of this meal. The fijian rice was good. Honestly I liked it, there just wasn’t much of it. The price point in these cases just weren’t satisfactorily met. Overall though it was a good meal. The service here was actually quite prompt, attentive, and the food came out pretty quickly despite many people and their families coming in for what I was assuming was potentially a prom night based on how people were dressed coming in. I definitely wouldn’t mind sitting down for another evening and tailor the meal better towards my own needs among those close to me.

One of my favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. I like how they give out soup and dessert for free! My favorite is their seafood tofu sizzling plate. I also love their vegetable dish like mushroom and green beans.

I was here for dinner. Dinner was great! Will definitely come back again. steam big calm with bean sprout was my favorite and the egg plan with cod fish was good, it had a unique taste that makes you want to eat more.

Very good Chinese seafood restaurant. I never get disappointed with their food. If you like Cantonese and Hong Kong style of Chinese food. This is the place you have to go. The staff are fairly good, just typical for Chinese restaurants.

Grabbed a quick takeout of Dried Radish Chow Fun with Veges as a side to go with some home smoked pheasant; delicious choice. I got there before the afterwork crowd, so service was prompt and received my food within 10 minutes. The restaurant is clean and casual, and a bit hidden from the main road off Fruitridge Rd. The menu is wide, and was impressed with the noodle dishes. Definitely will make this a stop on those days I need a Chinese food fix. Checkout my photos of the menu for an idea of what they serve and prices.

I’m giving them a 4 star because we had a lot of food. My niece and grand niece birthday party. We had the banquet style that was preset when you picked the package. The food just kept coming. I don’t know what all the dishes was called and even though I’ve been to many banquets in my lifetime. This place seems to have more dishes than I can count. Just when you thought it was over we got more food being served. Well, over all it was a very nice banquet.

One of the best canto restaurant in Sacramento! I’ve been here serval times with friends and we absolutely loved it! Dinner service comes with soup starter and sweet rice soup as dessert. Highly recommend the giant clam! It’s very fresh and can be shared between 2 people easily. The clay pot rice is a must order. It takes about 30 minutes, so make sure to order this the first thing! My favorite one is the frog, but the rib and chicken clay pot rice are also good! Keep in mind, you can’t expect great service here. You have to wave the waiter down if you want to order or need anything, sometimes it can take 20−30minutes for them to come by.

Came here for Chinese New Years dinner. Ordered squab. I think they charged $ 20 each. Well it wasn’t squab. It was cornish game hen! The old bait and switch. Squab is a much more expensive poultry than cornish game hen. When I asked the waiter, he said he never eats it so he doesn’t know. The cook says that’s what the owner gave him to cook and didn’t know there was a difference. Come on now! They don’t even look the same or have the same color meat! Everything else was okay but they shouldn’t be cheating customers!!!

I’ve been eating at this location since it was Happy Valley Café. then became Leegacy… then became Oriental… and now it is T Kee! Ha, what can I say — I love Chinese food. Anyway, as with most Chinese places, this is a good place to take family because you can share several dishes. One of my family’s favorites is the Japanese steak with tofu! Okay, it might sound weird that you’re ordering a «Japanese» dish in a Chinese restaurant, but trust me, it’s so good! Sweet marinated steak sauteed with enoki mushrooms and topped over deep fried soft tofu! Another MUSTTRY is their clay pot rices. These take about 40 minutes to make, so definitely order this as soon as you sit down! Recently we got the pork one. It’s rice flavored with green onions, cilantro, ginger, topped with a minced pork patty and spare ribs! My mouth is watering as I write this. Mmm so flavorful! It comes in a clay pot and the server brings it to the table and mixes everything up. Another good/typical Chinese dish is the fried flounder. Everything is nice and crispy so you can even eat the fin and some of the bones. Two dishes that are not as good as other restaurants are the walnut shrimp and honey garlic spare ribs. Their walnut shrimp is more soggy and heavy on the mayo. The honey garlic spare ribs have more fatty meat and portion is smaller. The service is typical Chinese — if ya know what that means… kinda slow, not necessarily friendly lol. I expect that at any true Chinese restaurant though. Overall, solid Chinese food and will be returning!

I’m not from Sacramento, but T Kee Seafood is a family favorite of my brother-in-law. Every time we come to Sacramento, there is always a visit to T Kee Seafood either for dining in or take out. This last visit consisted a meal for 9 people. We got a multi course massive Chinese meal. The course consisted of abalone soup, clay pot rice with spare ribs, egg white dried scallop fried rice, abalone with green veggies and mushrooms, roast duck, suckling roast pig, chicken, some cold cuts of beef shank, chicken salad, steamed fish, lobster with noodles, scallops and calamari with snow peas, honey walnut shrimp. My favorites were the clay pot rice and the steamed fish. What was odd about our meal though was that the clay pot rice and fried rice came out first and the cold cuts and chicken salad came out last. All in all the food was good. Is it the most amazing meal that I’ve ever had? No. However, it does hit the spot and is very comforting when you want some good old Chinese food. Plus it doesn’t hurt with the fact that you will take home a good amount of food that can feed you probably the rest of the week. Parking is ridiculous! You have been warned.

I am a huge fan of this place!!! Let’s get the word out about this spot; everything here is delicious! Course, I don’t really need to say that about this place because there’s always a ton of Chinese people in this place every time I go. I hate the parking lot because it’s super small and it is sometimes hard to find parking. But it’s worth the trouble because the food is delicious and portion sizes are huge. I usually order two things and they give a complementary soup of the day if you eat in. It’s a nice little bonus. Service here is generally pretty good too. I usually get one of the chow funs plus a random dish… Every one that I have had has been good so I’d pretty much recommend anything there. I haven’t had a bad dish so far.

T Kee is one of the many Chinese restaurants available along Freeport Blvd in Sacramento. With so many choices, which one do you go to? Well, T Kee would be a great choice for authentic Chinese cuisine in Sacramento. First things first, when you arrive at T Kee, the parking lot is full during eating hours. That’s a good sign. Secondly, when you go in you see a lot of Asians. And that’s a really good sign. That’s because you know that you’ll find the ‘real stuff’ when you come here. I came with a medium sized party of people. We ordered family style where we each chose a dish and shared it among ourselves. The variety at T Kee is very good, but one dish I was craving was not on the menu… the fried chicken with shrimp chips… ahhh man… wish that were there! Even though I didn’t get that dish, there were some really delicious entrees for us. We had snow peas and shrimp, Hong Kong style ribs, a veggie/tofu/mushroom dish, and noodles. A friend of ours recommended the more expensive eel fried rice. It took 30-minutes to prepare but was definitely a highlight of our meal. Be careful when ordering this dish though, you may not like it if you are squirmy about wiggly looking things. We also got the house soup and dessert. These items came with the meal and were a nice bookend for the dinner. Service was pretty good, though can be spotty or slower at times. Overall T Kee is one of the better Chinese places that I’ve eaten at in Sacramento. I would suggest giving it a try!

This place was remodeled and the name has changed since there is a new owner I heard. We came here with a party of 8. We ordered 12 dishes and overall everything was good and it came out fast. The service was decent too. I would definitely come back!

Was introduced to this place by my girlfriend’s family. I usually don’t go eat at Chinese restaurants as they are super oily and msg packed. To be clear, this place is no exception. However, the food isn’t too sloppy so it is acceptable. Overall, an alright place to come here if you are craving Chinese food.

My parents wanted Chinese food for Father’s day celebration so I ran out of fresh ideas. I vaguely remembered someone told me to try Oriental Restaurant some time ago but I never built up the interest to do so. Apparently it is now called T-Kee. Hmmm… With few friends recommendations I thought it is as good as anytime to give it a shot. The Establishment: Seems clean and organized. Staffs appears to be not hating their jobs which is always a plus sign. The Service: We had a cake with us for a birthday celebration. Upon seated I placed it on the table. One of the waiter saw it and immediately offered to put it in the fridge for us. Nicely done with the attentiveness. :) At the end of the meal he brought it out, unboxed, with a candle, and small paper plates ready to serve. Double like! Let’s say I tipped well for his attention to details. The Food: Over all the food was great! Although the food was not WOWing but it was a pleasant meal. We ordered the Egg Plant and Sea Bass Clay Pot, Garlic Giant Bean Sprouts, Pork with Green Beans, BBQed Pork Belly, Steak with Chives, Hand Shredded Chicken Salad, and Yellow Eel Rice Clay Pot. According to the big giant banner on the out side of the building, they make the Eel Rice Pot«THEAUTHENTIC» way. Here are the results: Egg Plant /Sea Bass Clay Pot — WIN, Better than New Hong Kong Wok Garlic Giant Bean Sprouts — MEH, decent but doesn’t WOW Pro with Green Beans — MEH, decent but doesn’t WOW BBQed Pork Belly — LOSS, too dry and no flavor. New Hong Kong Wok does it better. Steak with Chives — WIN, fresh and great flavor. Steak strips were tender. Hand Shredded Chicken Salad — BIGWIN, better than any placed I tried for the same dish. Perfect salt level and chicken was tender. Eel Rice Clay Pot — LOSS, The key to Rice Clay Pot is the burned layer. There were virtually non of the burnt rice chunks. The soy sauce was bland and colorless. CF Cheng’s Rice Clay Pot can have this one for lunch. It is a decent restaurant with some good dishes. Like most restaurants it has its specialties and some weak dishes. I would come back here form time to time to try some new things but I doubt it I would crave anything from here anytime soon.

The place is hidden on the corner of Freeport and Fruitridge. It may not look like much from outside, but I was surprised by how nice it was inside. I came here for a family dinner and we ordered the set menu. I thought the food was a bit on the expensive side, but that’s expected of seafood. We had shrimp, lobster, scallops, squid, and fish. The dishes were good, but I can’t determine if they are better compared to other Chinese restaurants. If you’re a vegetarian, there may not be a lot of options. My brother ordered the mapo tofu. I suggested that because I recently had it elsewhere and enjoyed it. Their version however was subpar. The sauce was a glutinous. The place is a-okay overall. I don’t think we’ll be coming back much, but I’m glad we tried a new place.

Great food at reasonable prices! If you want authentic Chinese food this is the place to eat. First of all, T Kee is a little hard to find. It doesn’t stick out on Freeport Blvd. or Fruitridge Rd. like all the other Chinese restaurants in the area. It is tucked away in a very small strip shopping center on the southeast corner of Freeport Blvd. and Fruitridge Road in south Sacramento behind a fish and chips establishment on the corner. There aren’t too many parking spaces available also because T Kee is always very busy. When you see a lot of Chinese patrons in a restaurant, it’s gotta be good! Their menu is vast with all of the usual dishes but many dishes that are not common in your average Chinese restaurant. You have to check it out to see for yourself. I have dined here about 5 times and every meal has been perfect! Check out some of the photos I have uploaded and others before me. They will make your mouth«water»… guaranteed!
