The meat prices are good. Everything else is priced high. But when I need to pickup a few items I go there instead of Foods Co. The service is good and the staff is friendly. I used to work there back in the day when the name was Big G.

I come here all the time. Located close to home. A bit pricey but it better than driving 15 minutes to thr local asian supermarket. The workers are nice and they make conversation so its not a hi and bye transaction. Ive been coming here for 4 years now and ive meet the owners twice. Very nice couple.

Overpriced, the things on sale are already past date and they sell stuff that has been recalled.

I only come here when I’m too lazy to get into my car and drive else where. Prices are a bit over priced, i think because of convenience, and that its the only supermarket around the area besides a few other small stores. The service isn’t helpful, I’ve tried asking for things and they don’t know half the things i need, so i learn to just look around myself. if you’re in the area this would be a good store to get most of your Asian and Mexican ingredients, but if you need something more and in bulk, you’re best off just going to the south for all the other things.

T & Y is the last local vestige of the Big T chain, a confederation of independent supermarkets that once rivaled IGA. The Big T sign looks weary, but clings proudly to this most peculiarly stuccoed wall. T & Y’s plastic bags still bear the Big T logo, too. Maybe it’s still a chain after all!!!(But they don’t have a website!) The prices for some items here are surely higher than you will pay at the big chain supermarkets, but I disagree with Sandy that they are«ridiculous». It’s par for the indie grocer course, and it’s not so much a matter of greed as much as it is a matter of volume. They don’t have the volume purchasing power of a huge chain. The variety of the selection is very good at T & Y. It’s practical enough to use as a primary grocer for local residents. Much better than the Food King store on El Camino next to Thrift Town. And you don’t hafta put up with that busted/leaking refrigerator unit smell that permeates Food King! Asian and Mexican items are well-represented as well. T & Y has a surprisingly good meat market which is exceptionally practical for shoppers looking for sensibly sized packages of meat. If you are shopping only for enough meat for tonight’s dinner for yourself and maybe one other, you will find nice-priced cuts that are just the right size. The grab n’ go case might even have what you need if you don’t have time to cook, or can’t cook. One seasoned pork chop for the price of a Whopper Jr. DEAL! The most uncanny thing about T & Y is the selection of energy drinks. There are actually two selections… the one in the back is all the usual energy drinks that you find at markets and mini-marts everywhere, but in the far front left corner of the store, you will find two cases full of the strangest and most obscure energy drinks from all over the world, and especially Asia. Some of them even have entire roots bobbing around in them. The far front right corner is a hoot, too. They’ve got a weird selection of women’s shoes next to «farmer hats» which shade you from the sun under a fabric canopy with hilarious«Engrish» phrases woven into them. This store has always been friendly and worth a visit.

I used to live near this store. This place is convenient for all the people living near by, so I think that’s how they stay in business. The prices are ridiculous, but it is another market you can go to for asian groceries.

This girl charged me $ 45 for a 25 lb bag of rice that was suppose to be $ 14. I called the store after realizing the mistake on my ATM account and they would not give me the difference even with the receipt!
