I might stalk this food truck. I love Swabbies fish tacos! They are truly a unique creation. Crisy-ish taco shell, melted cheese, generous portion of fish, cabbage, tomato, parmesan sprinkled on top. So good. Don’t balk at the $ 10 price tag– they’re worth it!

Stopped by at Sactomofo4, and tried a couple of their tacos, beef and chicken. Both were pretty great, among some of the best tacos ive had, but unique enough in their own right to be in their own catagory. My brother and sister in law tried them too and both agreed they were pretty tasty. The only problem is that they are slow. They need to work on a system in that trailer, to get faster at getting the tacos out. they were friendly, just slow. Ill still wait for these tacos though. Need to try their fish taco next.

I’m still trying to figure out how I could love fish tacos so much and not know about Swabbies! Since I was already familiar with many of the food trucks at SactoMoFo 4 I decided to try something new. Fish tacos sounded really good at the time and their line was super short compared to some of the other more popular trucks. The staff was friendly and orders were taken pretty quick. Like any other food truck the food took a while but was worth the wait. The Fish Tacos($ 5) were a pretty good size, filled with a large piece of beer battered cod and topped with cabbage, jack cheese and salsa. The tortilla taco shell was infused with jack and Parmesan cheese similar to those at Jimboy’s Tacos. If you ask me– I’d take a Swabbies Fish Taco over Jimboy’s any day. The taste and quality in incomparable. I’m looking forward to trying Swabbies Restaurant soon now that I know they exist. Mmm… can’t wait to see what else is on their menu!!!

I tried their tacos at SacMoFo so this may not be a complete reflection of how they normally operate. I had their«over-sized» beef(4 $) and fish(5 $) tacos. When I read over-sized, i was thinking like double or triple the size of a regular taco. They were not. They were just regular sized. Both tacos were just average when it came to taste. They had some different ingredients compared to a normal beef or fish taco, but nothing that really wowed me. So I paid double the price for regular tacos at an event. I’ll try to find them roaming the streets and hopefully I can update this and give them more stars.
