Super Taco

This place is just one of the best place to get Mexican food in Sacramento. Go here almost every 2 weeks. Their burritos are just delicious.

Second time here since the new location in the same plaza. Employees were nice and attentive. Food came out fast. We didn’t remember the super nachos being so huge but they are. We family of 4 didn’t finish it. We also got chimichanga which they filled with mostly rice. Was all good but lots leftover.
I’d come again when me or my hubs are in the mood for Mexican.

Food is good, but service isn’t that great. Why do you have a bar with bar stools, and no bartender??? I was waiting for over 20 minutes, and when a girl came by to answer the phone she never acknowledged me. I think this place has the potential to make a lot of extra money if they advertised the bar. There is a male bartender that works here sometimes, and he’s great! Step it up super taco… I’m sure with a bigger building there is higher rent to pay.

Food is fine but service is crazy slow. Waitress always says «your order is next» but we still waited an additional 20 minutes. Wish they would just be honest. Too frustrating to return. Too many other average mexican restaurants to choose from.

I’ve had the food. Its good. The price is good. Being on hold for 20 min trying to put in a phone order, super disappointed. 1 star for now might change in the future.

I came to their new location for the first time and when I entered through the doors I liked what I saw so far. I felt like I was in a classic Mexican restaurant as if I was back in Mexico!
The restaurant was clean and the cashiers were really nice and accommodating as well. Their food? I thought the super burrito I had was good. However I suggest not saving it for the next day.

Came here on the fly because the resturant I wanted to go to was close. I been to super taco along time ago and finally seeing it expand after all these years was a nice treat. The place has slot more tables and even an outside patio.
I order the shrimp ceviche on tostado and a chicken super taco. Both came out at a decent time. Free chips and salsa bar. Food was delicious.

We’ve been visiting this Mexican establishment for years but tonight I need to leave a less than «savory» review. The woman behind the cash register was not only eating while taking orders but using her hands put food in her mouth while handling cash. Talking with her mouth full to another employee. She made absolutely no eye contact with me, didn’t even talk to me other than to tell me how much my pick up order would cost.
This is the second time this person has been less than professional but tonight she went above and beyond. Too bad. We will return to our beloved Super Taco just hope they make a few changes

I have been here 3 times for various foods with friends. Just like in baseball– 3 strikes and you are out.
For the most part the service is good. Food a small step above Taco Bella they have jalapeños.
How do you offer «super» nachos and not have Jalapeños. The guy that took my order asked me if I wanted extra-​I said yes.
The girl, who may have been more attentive to her phone said Sorry we don’t have jalapeños any more.
Sad sad. Sad.

I have NEVER had service this GREAT!!! AMAZING bartender (and I didn’t even get a drink). He was friendly and efficient. He asked every 5 mins if I needed water or anything while I waited for my to go order… DEFINITELY coming back!!!

I hate to say it, but the soup was pretty ho-​hum last night. I was in the mood for soup and was hoping they might have their albondigas, but no such luck. I don’t know when they have it, but I have had it a couple of times and it is good. The soup last night didn’t suck, but it wasn’t great either. The broth had no flavor to speak of. Plus they use big chunks of everything. It’s soup, hello I have a spoon to cut big chunks of stuff with. Pretty lame if you ask me.

Food here is the same as it always was. Decent Mexican food for a decent price. Had their fajitas today and the corn tortillas they have were really thick and hard/​chewy like they were flour. Unsure if it was flour or corn but it tastes different than thecorn tortillas I get at the store.

The service here is sub-​par. The food here is okay, definitely not the best Mexican food I had.
I have tried their super burrito which I wasn’t really impressed with. Yes, people do love them because of their big portions but the quality of the burrito is okay. I definitely prefer going elsewhere for my burritos.
But what made me really want to try this place was because of their carne asada fries, which I have to say were a disappointment. The fries were not crispy and the toppings were okay.
Overall I was not impressed by this restaurant but I can see the appeal to other people because of their huge portions.
I do not see myself dining at this establishment.

I had a huge fish taco today. It was so big I wanted to use both hands to lift it up. It was delish!

This place Kicks Ass. I have eaten enough Mexican food and I have been to more than enough Taquerias. This stuff Rocks. If you are nearby you better stop. You will regret putting it off. Excellent.

This place is authentic. The salsa bar is the best, chips are fresh & the food is fantastic. Super Taco moved took over El Meson’s place. My picky son cleans his plate. My son likes their tacos.
I tried so many things on the menu now & everything I tried was consistently delicious. The place is always packed and the new location «being more roomy» packs in the traffic. If you go in, the phone is ringing with orders. The only downside is the wait is a lot longer to get the food as opposed to when the location was smaller. However, it’s soo worth the wait. The food is the best.

Had the #5 and the enchilada was small & I don’t believe there was even shredded chicken in it! Jim Boys is bigger & tastier.

The girls greeted us right away.
Chips were fresh. Nachos was very magnificent in portion!

Horrible, horrible, horrible service! With average to fair food. We waited 40 minutes until our food was finally delivered to our table in to go boxes! Clearly, the person we placed our order with confused our dining-​in-​order with a to-​go-​order. On top of that our food was served cold. The staff couldn’t even bother to heat up our food and/​or transfer it onto plates for better presentation. I will never ever return to this restaurant!

Came with my sister, her fiancé and my hubby here to eat. Though I am not eating, I will comment on the service.
We ordered at 7:50pm per our receipt. It is now 8:26pm and we just received our orders. No staff even came to check on us during this wait either. I advised my husband to go check on the order. He came back and said they messed up our order. By the time the food came out, it was in to-​go boxes and they apologized saying they thought it was a to-​go order. What is ridiculous is that, we specifically told them when we ordered that it was for eat-​in, we even asked where the cups were so we could get water anddddddd she gave us a number which has been sitting with us on our table for a whopping 36 minutes! Furthermore, my husband and my sisters fiancé’s tacos were cold when it should have been served warm.
This is poor customer service. We will not be coming back.

I love this place because of their great service! The food is really good but not too authentic. Super nachos are huge!!! You have a choice of nacho cheese or shredded… Yuuuumm Nacho cheese is bomb. I usually get the taco salad because that’s usually my Safe goto. My husband loves their Chili verde and the beef fajitas.
There are many yummy restraunts around our house, but we always end up here cause of their amazing service.

Took about 30 min to get our food for takeout. I wanted extra tortillas so paid $ 2.75 for 12 flour tortillas. He said it would take 3 min. Took another 10 min. Food was mediocre. Would’ve given better review of food didn’t take so long. Was already starving and had to deliver food to our family I was really upset when we had to wait another 10 min for tortillas. By the time we got home food was cold.

Ugh. This place is so inconsistent. We come here because it’s the closet Mexican restaurant and we actually stopped coming here for awhile because it got really bad and we were tired of leaving unsatisfied. We used to get the pasole until it starting getting very watery and flavorless. The Carne Asada has never been that great. But today my family and I are done with this place.
Ok, so they moved. 2 weekends ago we decided to get burritos and give it another try. I got a super Carne Asada and it was actually really good! The meat was juicy and had great flavor. It tasted fresh. So I said, ok great they’ve improved some things. But today. Today had to have been the worst Carne I’ve ever had. I imagine this is what dog food tastes like. The meat tasted like 2 day old burnt ground meat with no flavor, and was like the bottom of the pan little pieces throughout my burrito. Sounds harsh but hey STOP serving garbage to people. You’ve lost us as customers. We’ll gladly drive the extra mile or 2 to get quality.
I would not recommend this place.

I placed a Togo order at 7:13pm. The server told me it will be ready in 15 minutes. At 7:45pm I approached the server and was told it will be ready in 5 to 10 minutes. At 8:05pm approached the server again and was told you, have 5 orders ahead of you, if you want you can have your money back. So at 8:10pm I left with no food. BUT MY MONEY BACK. This is the service I received in my one hour waiting period.

I love this place its so yummy! We’ve been here 4 days in a row and it just keeps getting better! I definitely recommend the Super Nachos! The servers here are extremely friendly too!

Their previous location could get crowded, especially with people waiting in line. This new location is much more spacious. They have taken over the space of a previous Mexican restaurant (El Meson), and did not make any meaningful décor changes, other than removing the photos of the previous owner. It is not particularly comfortable, but much better that the previous location. Most people still seem to get their orders too go. This is not fast food, so there will be a wait as they make your food. It is usually 15 to 20 minutes if you call it in around dinner time. They have a good salsa bar, be sure to get chips with your order, which are included with most items. I really enjoy ordering the super chicken burrito. This thing could reasonably feed two people. When I am unreasonably hungry, I’ll eat the entire thing.

Wow, it’s been a long time since I’ve done a bad review, if ever. My girlfriend was starving and we were going to eat at SushiQ but they were closed until 5, she was going to get hungry so we went next door to Super Taco so she can get a quesadilla and keep me safe til SushiQ opens.
She orders the super quesadilla specifically because it comes with sour cream and guacamole. The thing is 10 dollars, it literally is cheese and meat, so there should be a fair amount of of sour cream and guacamole. That was not the case, so we thought nothing and that we’d ask for a bit more sour cream at least.
So I go up and ask for more, she says it’ll be a dollar. I said there was barely any on the plate, and she said, «Yeah, it will be a dollar.» There was no acknowledgement of the shortcoming on their 10 dollar quesadilla.
They took my money then still didn’t give the cream, I had to stand there and then finally what looked like an owner or manager had to ask if I needed help.
The reality was there was probably a tablespoon of each on the plate. That chinceyness took away from what was good food. They’re so concerned with shift change and their registers that they ignored both quality and service. As we speak my girlfriend is waiting to be acknowledged to just ask for a box.
I would like to give 2.5 stars because the food was good, the quesadilla wasn’t skimpy so we felt you got your money’s worth. Since I can’t give a half they get 2 because it really felt like we were not even here.
I’m always super forgiving on service, especially when the food is good, and love giving people every chance in the world to pick up the dropped ball. I usually speak to a manager rather than post something negative, but they left me feeling so sour that I feel like I needed to drop this. Go for the food and hope they’re taking care of their customers better after this.

The food and service is good. But placing an order to go should not take 40 minutes. Especially for one burrito.

Oh no! I used to love this place. I have been there over 120 times. They moved the location last month and today was my first visit. They had a very long line to place your order. When I got to the front they told me that there was a 35 minute wait for our food to come. I cancelled our order and stood in the lobby to wait for my daughter to return from the restroom. I saw 4 other parties in 5 minutes turn around and leave.
Super Taco Management, please listen to your customers. People come here because the food is good and their is very little wait. It is not because it is the best Mexican food in the city. It is a nice convenient place with good food. You have ruined this with the management of the move. If you move to a bigger location expecting to be busier, then staff your place like you expect it to be busy. You have been at the location for over a month and things seem to be getting worse, not better.
This place used to be my go to for breakfast on the weekends. I am going to have to find a new place. If you get your stuff together I might give you another shot in the future.

Yummy delicious Mexican food, location location location very convenient!!! Just a little too pricey…

Visited their new location opened a few doors down from where they were previously located. Busy Saturday night with no open tables available. Ordered a super chicken burrito which was stuffed with rice, chicken, guacamole, sour cream, onions and also beans (which I opted out on). My husband ordered their super shrimp taco which looked very tasty! Our entrée also came with a complimentary basket of chips and salsa which was very good. The tortilla chip was crunchy and wasn’t too thin (like most other Mexican restaurants). The accompanying salsa dip was delish.
Service is great, but wait time for food was ridiculous. Waited a painful 40 minutes before our food was served. Having a big appetite that night, I was disappointed with my burrito at first bite — mainly because it lacked in flavor and tasted very dry. The meat was bland and there was barely any guacamole or sour cream! The lettuce didn’t taste very fresh either.
Probably won’t be back in the near future. I’ll just have to stick to Chipotle for my burritos!

Foods good… Wait times are horrendous. I waited 45 min for a regular burrito. When waiting for food at the new location they still had the pick up area in a horrible spot where people waiting for food are in the personal space of people sitting to eat.

I love this place!!! Tacos are fire, so good! I love there pickled red onions and salsas. It’s always so fresh here
