Starr’s Foam Design

While building our dream home we ran into a snag. We were installing foam beams and had a source to get the beams but no one knew how to stain them! I got a referral to Starr from my contractor and went to speak to them. What a relief! They not only supplied the beams, but they finished them with a custom color to match my cabinets! And they did all of it for less that it would have cost to buy the bare product from another source! The beams went up this week and look beautiful! SFD has served me well for many years. Every time I go there I get new ideas of what they can do for me. I have contracted them to make molds for art pieces and cut outs and voids for concrete counter top fabrication. They have made concrete coated window frames and mirror frames for me. I’ve also had them make me concrete covered letters and zen flower pots. Gus is great to work with. My orders are always completed as promised and the price is reasonable.

Maybe you are of Greek heritage and you want a pergola that reminds you of the Parthenon? SFD can make you Doric, Ionic, or Corinthian columns. Maybe you want a hearth that reminds you of an old English hunting cottage? SFD can do that too. Maybe you need statues made for the front of your store? SFD can do that too. They even make stucco molding for the front of your house. How about a custom arched entry? They can do that too.
The great thing about these foam designs is that they are light weight and don’t take a lot of engineering and structural upgrading. You can pay tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars for the upgrades in ceramic from Gladding McBean or you can pay SFD hundreds of dollars for results that basically look the same.
I found Starr because I was looking for a substitute for a wooden wall cap that would not rot. I was able to have them custom build a foam wall cap that not only looks great but was only a little over a hundred dollars. They were easy to work with and had my custom wall caps finished in a couple of days.
