I love these ladies ! For what I pay for I get beautiful quality nails. They don’t supercharge you. They have opi and other great nail polish. I highly recommend this place !!!

Terrible nail salon that I’ve ever been to. I wanted a manicure and the older lady was way to aggressive and clipped my skin. The place is not professional and it’s not clean. I am very disappointed.

Horrible horrible HORRIBLE!!! Literally less than 24 hrs after getting my nails done one came off. So I went back the next day and they fixed it for free (very rudely). I go home the same day and TWO MORE came off. I’ve been getting my nails done for years and I’ve never had this happen, let alone even have one nail come off within the first couple of weeks. This was the worst experience I’ve ever encountered at a nail salon.

I have been coming here for pedicures for over 6 years. Have never had a problem. Helen is fantastic. Yes, there is a language issue sometimes but I don’t go in to chat. Could not recommend this service enough.

My worst experience at a nail salon yet:
1. My niece and I pull up and the sign says open but the door was locked. I thought maybe it was lunch but it was 4:30. We turn around to leave when someone finally opened the door.
2. We were the only 2 customers in there. Not surprised since the door was locked. As soon as we walk in, one of the employees was sleeping! And I got assigned to her, unfortunately.
3. The lady who did my nails was very rough. Even though I said «ow» or «that hurts» she didn’t change what she was doing. She twisted my hands roughly in a way so that she could see my nails and it hurt a lot! Even after she filed my nails if there was a rough spot, she picked at it with her finger, hard. Most uncomfortable manicure ever.
4. Nobody talked to us while we were in there. If the lady wanted my other hand she’d just drop the one she was holding and tap the other one waiting for me to put my hand up.
5. My niece’s nails turned out fine but mine have several little flaws and I am very disappointed with the outcome. I also had nail polish on my hands and there was still nail polish on the skin around my nails.
Definitely will not be going back. Most painful, uncomfortable, and messy experience at a nail salon.

I went in with my mother in law and one of the ladys was so rude and messed up her nails. There was another one that made my nails look nice I would give her a 4 star if she wouldn’t have been frowning at me the whole time. I don’t think I would recommend this to nobody.

Honestly the job was done too fast to be true. You can tell the workers did not care, they rushed to go home. Usually little mistakes are made but each nail had some type of mess up. Very disappointing. Would not recommend!

Myself and a friend came in Star nails a week ago and were not pleased. The ladies there are rude. They sat there and didn’t say a word to my friend and I while getting our nails filled. Mind you, we were the only two in the salon. They went on and on talking to each other but not us. Weird I thought.
Not only that, but the salon was dirty and unkept. New paint on the walls doesn’t make your salon clean.
While getting our nail done, we had an odd burning sensation that we complained about. And they just continued do what they were doing. I tried to pull my hand away but the lady just squeezed my finger harder. Now a week later, almost all of my nails have lifted. Never again will I go or anyone else I know go to this nail salon. Horrible experience! I strongly suggest that everyone go to the nail stop in the fruitridge shopping center.

I used to bring my mom and friends to Star Nails on Stockton Blvd whenever we needed pampering. They do a good job with manis and pedis but it is kind of hard understanding what they’re saying since their English isn’t all that great. Prices are a little bit higher than other Asian nail salons but it is worth it since they do a good job. I recommend calling in first to see if they are busy or not because they do tend to get packed.

I’ve always had my eyebrows waxed here since they are the cheapest. You can’t beat $ 6.00 for an eyebrow wax. My favorite girls are Helen and Kim. They do the best eyebrow waxing.
I don’t care much for the manis or pedis here. Nothing special and I can’t understand the ladies most of the time even though they seem really nice until they start laughing or sounding angry.
There are a lot of walk-​ins, but they also take appointments. However Sunday is appointments only.
