Got a nice pair of ski’s and bindings, but to get any kind of help on Snowbomb help desk is a joke. They have no phone # to call, they have to call you. Redeeming one of my voucher’s was coming back invalid and they will not call or e-mail me. The voucher has to be redeemed by today and still no help. I guess I had to just drink my $ 25 at the show for this pass, not cool! I guess they don’t want to hear from their customer’s, so they don’t supply a phone #

I hate to knock this event because we took advantage of the free general admission deal through Unilocal… BUT… we paid the difference to upgrade to VIP and this was a pretty awful event. They do allow you to go in and take a look around before you decide on upgrading your tickets, that’s a plus. We upgraded because we were interested in the free lift ticket deal. Down side to this is there seem to be a lot of black out dates and/or we must use tickets Tues-Thurs. Free parking across the street from Cal Expo. The main things that drove me nuts were timeshare sales people everywhere. They were literally chasing us down the isles. My husband is a total love and will listen intently. I have a pretty diverse marketing background, including pressure tactics and I don’t have a problem saying«no thanks». We were constantly being bombarded, interrupted, chased down and bumped into by the aggressive sales people. The wine tasting was pretty lame. There’s no wandering and browsing with your wine. You’re corralled into a little state fair pen and given a small glass. There were only about 3 people who were serving wine who actually came from the wineries they represented. I wasn’t expecting too much but still managed to come out a little disappointed. The other downer was the abundance of security staff surrounding the tiny tasting area. The corral had a middle-school dance vibe going on. Maybe the beer day is better but the wine tasting was not worth it. We bought some discounted stuff at the ski gear area, around $ 300 worth. Within 5 minutes of paying my bank called me asking about a suspicious charge from Arizona. That was odd. Apparently the group running the ski gear sales is from AZ. I hope the lift ticket deals are worth it, this is really the only reason we payed to upgrade to VIP. The Snow Bomb festival itself is loud, cheesy, full of awkward sales people and missing serious swagger.

Waste of time. No free lift tickets a promised. Gear not competitively priced — just marked up retail prices to make discount look better.

After last weekend’s ticket snafu at the SF Festival we were a little wary to drive out for this one. But year after year Snowbomb makes it worth it while to come to Sac. Skiers and snowboarders should def check thisout, especially if you’re in the market for new equipment or gear. And who doesn’t like free stuff?! Included in your admission are free lift tickets. Dodge Ridge and other resorts! Next weekend they finish up the festival in San Jose. Can’t wait to check that one out too. Snowbomb’s been around forever and they’ve kept my snow trips most affordable for years. Go check them out!(And look into their Tahoe card if you’ve never heard of it or bought one before.)
