I wish there was a negative star. I have been with this dentist for 7 months and 6 of those months have been to get her to put in a referral. I have physically handed the xrays to the dentist and she refuses to put in the referral. She stated she never received it. The orthodontist and myself have tried several times. I believe, she is her own receptionist.

Dr. Scortia did a root canal for me and I could not believe how quickly she was able to get it under control. Night and day difference. She got me in same day at her Freeport office and was very understanding of having to bring my toddler with me to the appointment.
I saw nothing like what that other guy was complaining about, and I’m pretty observant about stuff like that since I work in healthcare. BTW, it is a requirement that the medical information of others is protected, hence the window seperating the waiting area from the office. Look, the decoration in the office may not be off HGTV but the building is older and her clinic is CLEAN.
I have to say the best part is her bedside manner — she is very caring and she has a kind of maternal way about her. She even got my 3 year old son to let her count his teeth, which he would not let my husband’s dentist do. I like her and I will be going to her from now on.

I moved from Sacramento a few years ago and went to a couple of other dentist and I CAME RUNNING BACK to Dr Scortia at the first chance I had. I never had a more professional and carring provdider as her.
I recently visited her at her Elk Grove location to fix a crown that was originally done by another dentist and I could not be any happier with her work as usual. I highly recommend her to anyone that is searching for a great and honest dentist.

Stay away from this office. The dentist is also the receptionist. The waiting room is like a small prison cell with cinder block walls and broken chairs with no art. The dentist is about 60 years old and is very rude on the phone, the sanitation is horrible. This dentist takes no pride in how clean the office is or looks just think what they will do to their mouth. If you don’t believe me just drive by the office and see the building it’s in. Still don’t believe me open the door and look in the waiting room (don’t worry the staff won’t see you look because they close a window so they don’t have to look at their patients) At any rate don’t go unless you wan’t a prison type dentist.

This place is so sketchy. I would imagine someone that graduated from UCSF to have a much, much nicer place. The service provided here THE WORSE that I’ve been to in my life. Old equipment, old office, poor cleaning.
On the other hand, I think I also have to blame Cigna. I’ve been to 2 dentist from my network so far and I can honestly say, the quality is horrible.
