Okay. So, I go there with friends and two of our mains come but the third doesn’t until 10minutes later. Food is now cold. On top of that, server don’t give us a fork and knife to eat. Server no where to be found so I got to get up to get them. The cherry on top is that I told the manager and he acts upset that this happened and mentions about taking care of us. Guess what, bill comes and he’s disappeared. Not bothered about paying the bill, I can buy twenty of those meals if I want too, its the principal! No more for me!

3.5 stars in all. The food get’s a 3.6 stars Ok. I’m a lil torn cuz their Citrus Salmon roll was the shiz, their Alhambra roll if I keep eating it will make me a happy but tubby camper. However, the rolls took for ever to get to us. My friends Matty was cold inside. And the other things she got was ewy. Guess she aint coming back with me. My other friend did not complain, even added a spicy tuna had roll & her grilled asparagus side was tasty even though the size of the spears were gimpy. 4 stars for the insides. Ambience is kinda romantic, couch like chairs are soft and plush, but pls clean those white spots on them, cmon now. 3 stars for service. I would have given more stars, but because the server was not knowledgable about my questions, the food was cold, and took so long despite the small crowd on New Years Day. Sorry! The server could have at LEAST at minimum apologized or something. He was a semi-cutie that had a spiggle of charm(which may be why he was hired), but a face without more to back it up especially when food is super late, just don’t cut it. In all I give this place a 3.5. I would come back for the Citrus Salmon & Alhambra roll. I love the salmon, lemon & simplicity of the Citrus Salmon & this meets all of my hearts desires in a sushi roll. The Alhambra is my go to when I am with the gal pals and when its my fat meal. But pleez educate servers whether they are cute or ugly. A cute face aint gonna do us patrons justice if they cant at least apologize of food is super late or cold.

It’s hard to review a restaurant that is in its last leg and known to be closing in a few days. We have been regulars over the years and am sad to see this place go. We especially like the happy hour specials, especially the Miso Ribs and sushi rolls. Service was a little spotty, but how can you keep the energy alive when you know the end is near? Good luck to all those working there and hopefully they will be considered for the new place.

Expected a little more from this place. We were greeted by a manager working at the register by the front door scolding one of the waitresses or hostesses. He was rude to her and was telling her«Don’t talk to me, I don’t want to talk to you right now!» In a mean way. Continued with unmaintained restrooms; then we moved to getting our food(3 sushi rolls for 3 different people) and none of us got ginger nor wasabi, really? In a Japanese restaurant? So I asked for ginger and wasabi and only I got it, not the other two people! Plus no little plate to put soy sauce and wasabi combo! Service was blah…

The decors and wait staffs were very nice. I ordered the spider roll. This was not the the usual spider roll you’d normally get. They included vermicelli noodles which I wasn’t too fond of. I also ordered their sapporo fries which was a mix of yams, sweet potatoes, and potatoes. It was good but ratio between the 3 did not match. I wished for more sweet potatoes. My boyfriend ordered the sesame chicken. It was good and the portion size was big. Only downside is that it gets soggy fast. The melon madness cocktail was too sweet but diluting it with water made it tasty.

I’ve been to Sapporo a few times for dinner, never during its happy hour. Yesterday I decided to visit Sapporo for lunch. Parking was easy to find considering the lack of traffic. There were maybe three or four other people at the restaurant, so I was expecting to get fast and accommodating service. The happy hour option is pretty awesome. You can order one roll off the regular menu get another for $ 1. There is also a separate happy hour menu, offering rolls and lettuce wraps with prices ranging from 5 – 7 $. Not a bad deal! I ordered the Five Alarm roll and the Spicy King roll off of the regular menu, and the Marina roll and an Barbecue Albacore salad off of the happy hour menu. I expected to get my food rather quickly, considering such low customer volume, but it actually took longer than usual. I found myself looking back towards the kitchen various times, wondering where my food was. The sushi was like any other sushi, nothing too special. I did enjoy my albacore salad, especially with that chipotle sauce drizzled on top. Other than that, the meal was just mediocre. I also wasn’t really impressed with the service; the server wasn’t too helpful when it came to recommendations. He simply said everything was good, but had to skim through the menu as if he wasn’t too familiar with the items on it. Maybe he was new hire, who knows? Overall, I enjoyed my experience at Sapporo, but wish I had faster and more accommodating service, and tastier sushi. The happy hour option is awesome though, and I wouldn’t mind coming again for a good deal! Thank you Sapporo staff!

Not too shabby at all. Big space, great variety of TV and projection screens to watch sports… alcohol and sushi prices are pretty standard to slightly expensive. But the service is good and you are always going to get seated with the amount of tables inside and out. The Forever 21 roll and the Salmon Fiesta salad were both doing a sensual seductive dance in my mouth and I really appreciated it.

Delicious, fresh and well seasoned fish. The rice was perfect and the drinks were strong. We sat at the bar and our bartender was outstanding, nice and very accommodating since we ordered a few items that weren’t on the dinner menu and the rolls were but one get one for $ 1! The ambiance was nice, music was not too loud and my 49ers game was on. I definitely be returning here.

This is my husband and mine’s go to for sushi happy hour. They have buy 1 get one for $ 1 Sunday through Wednesday. Pretty much all of the rolls have some sort of fried thing whether it be shrimp tempura/crab/etc. I also went there for a special event and the Kobe beef carpaccio is great. They bring out a hot rock which you throw the meat on for a few seconds and then you eat it. Really tasty.

Last night, the food here was amazing! Everything came out really good & was super fresh! Someone ordered the Kobe beef & they bring out the raw beef strips with a blazing hot stone so you can cook it yourself! I didn’t try it, but I did cook some of the tuna & salmon on the hot stone & it came out great! The service was good, but a tad slow because we had a party of 6& it was 1am. The crunchy roll was really good & everyone liked the chicken lettuce wraps a lot, and the potstickers. The miso soup & the salad were good, I would definitely come here again when I’m in the area!

One of my coworkers always raves about the lunch specials here so I decided to finally try it out today. In the past, I have only been here drunk or to get more drinks, but never for the food. The lunch specials are bento boxes or sushi rolls. I ordered a bento box, which included miso soup, a salad, 2 pieces of a California roll, a scoop of rice, and you get to choose two meat or fish options. I chose the chicken teriyaki and the saba shioyaki(mackerel). The food was basic, not the best or worst I have tasted. The teriyaki sauce was kind of watery and there were bones in the mackerel. The portions are really good for the price and definitely left me full. State workers get a 20% discount! After taxes and discount, my bill was only $ 8 and change! Pretty good deal if you ask me! Our waitress was friendly and kept apologizing for the wait, which I didn’t even notice until she pointed it out. I might come back again to try out the sushi rolls or happy hour.

Went here for my graduation party and it was fantastic. We got seated immediately and the service was superb. Rated them well because I had such a good time here! PROS: Kobe on the rocks(small portion but interesting concept. The beef was tender and flavorful) Udon(comes in a stone pot and broth doesn’t taste like soy sauce, but more like miso paste) Sizzling seafood plate(delicious!) Crème brûlée(creamy, perfect amount of sweetness) CONS: drinks(were meh, other than their beers on tap, their cocktails were gross) Lobster entrée(super small portion and lobster was overcooked) Sunomono(no flavor at all)

So. Where can I find a legit Udon Place? Because after my experience at Sapporo, I’m still trying to figure it out. The Good: The best part of our experience was the service. Our waitress was friendly, accommodating, and offered great suggestions. She was also attentive and made sure that we had everything that we needed. The chicken wings were alright and so was the mixed tempura — it went all down hill after that though. The Bad: If you’re short or don’t want to sink into furniture while you’re eating, DON’T sit at the booths located on the left hand side of the restaurant(when you enter). It was very uncomfortable. We asked to move to the tables on the other side of the restaurant which was far more comfortable. The Ugly: The hubs and I were craving Udon and didn’t know where to go. Ramen houses are a dime a dozen in downtown, but no one ever really Unilocal about amazing Udon. I ordered the Beef Udon and the Hubs orders the Seafood Udon. Let’s just get it straight — Japanese food is simple with no fluff or anything. Our Udon had so much going on that I couldn’t get to the noodles part of my meal. Let me break it down: The beef in my udon was hard and chewy that I felt like I was chewing forever, there were so many vegetables in there that the beef broth started to taste like broccoli/spinach. Have you freaking ever had broccoli in your udon??? It was just bad. The hub’s seafood udon was super fishy and was difficult to maneuver with all the crazy shellfish in there. This place is the super Americanized version of what Japanese food should be. I thought I’d give this place another chance after 5 years, but never again. For real this time.

Decently priced Japanese cuisine. Loved the ambiance and the upbeat service. I had the spicy calamari and smoked salmon while my wife ordered the crunchy sushi rolls. Just a brilliant place with a classy and modern look. The seats we had were comfy though a little too squishy at times. Overall Sapporo gets 4 out of 5 stars.

A group of friends and i went here for dinner last night. They have valet in the front for $ 5! I didnt know until after i already parked accross the street and they charged me $ 10 for a private parking lot. So just do valet when u come here. I tried the grilled fish, the fried rice, 3 different types of rolls, raw oyster, and shrimp heads. Everything was good. There was not one thing i didnt like. I also heard they were half off on the weekdays idk if its true but if it is then this spot is definitley a keeper. The vibe is more of a lounge/club scene. They got a full bar and sushi bar.

I can’t believe I haven’t written a review for this place! Happy Hour is such a great way to go! They have a separate menu for happy hour food choices: –california roll, always great! can’t go wrong with getting this item –pepperfin is my all time favorite item! i wish they would put more pepperfin on my plate =] –gyoza, pork is super yummy! not a big fan of their chicken gyoza –fried rice is surprisingly really good, can do without the corn though –honey miso glaze ribs are ok, it can be a bit sticky which i don’t really like –recently had the sesame chicken and steam rice which was great! chicken was lightly fried and portion was perfect My boyfriend usually gets the caspey(not sure if i spelt it right) roll with just the fried chicken and cream cheese. Last night, he asked for the roll to be with the seaweed wrap and deep fried which he was happy with his order =] He ordered some draft beers which were $ 3 for happy hour. I really, REALLY like this place and I want to try the japanese steak house experience, heard it’s delicious! Can’t wait to go back for more happy hour goodies =]

Great happy hour! Buy one roll at regular price and get the second one for $ 1! Really can’t beat that! I usually order the pepperfin, Crunchy roll, honey miso ribs, deep fried chicken gyoza, and Spicy Johnny roll. Danny and Hieu are hands down the best sushi chefs there! Very creative, friendly, and they ensure everything is made to your liking! Daniel is one of the sweetest servers I’ve ever met– try and request him if you can! He gives excellent food recommendations, is very attentive, and has a contagious smile! Sapporo is very lucky to have him as a server! Finally, Pat is THEBEST bartender! He always remembers my drink preference and never keeps you waiting! He’s very charming and always makes you feel welcomed right when you sit down! Sapporo hires some of the nicest people – a big reason why I keep coming back! Customer service is a 10⁄5! This place gets pretty packed on Friday and Saturday nights – especially at the bar! The restaurant itself is nicely decorated with a modern type feel to it(great place to take a date) and food is served until 2AM so it’s good for those craving some late night sushi!

I couldn’t do a review with photographs because this was a business meeting and I’m a bit embarrassed taking out the phone camera. We had the lettuce wrap chicken, ikura roll, gyoza, forever21 roll and rainbow roll. All were delicious. The lettuce wrap with chicken was delicious but I think it may taste a lot better with romaine lettuce or butter lettuce. The ikura roll was also delicious and fresh. The forever21 and rainbow roll were also fresh and delicious. I have to say the gyoza do not taste frozen. It tasted homemade. There are two giant screens that are runned with a projector. Very cool! Also the environment was very clean and cozy. The waitress was also very patient as she kept on returning even though we were having an important discussion. I appreciate that she was patient and made sure she didn’t forget us. First time here. I like this place.

Happy hour rolls are $ 5 – 6. Full size too! Service is slow here. It takes awhile for the food to come especially during lunch. Other than that, I love this place. The ambience here is more like a lounge. This is my to go place if I’m looking for better quality sushi. State employees get a discount too.(only for lunch though). They do have occasional groupons here. They don’t work on lunch specials.
