Tried the ribs since they have a nice smoker outside. Ribs are watery and have no flavor at all. I think they were boiled instead of smoked. $ 15.00 for half rack and one would expect some BBQ taste. Very misleading and disappointing Said something to the guy running the place he didn’t seem to care that I wasn’t satisfied. Won’t be going back

Wow, have not been here for awhile. Service, had better even when crowded. Ordered to Supreme foot longs. Hardly any meat. Very sad sandwich for the price

They staff was friendly and accommodating. We are in town on business and chose to come here two days in a row because the sandwiches were fresh and there was no line. We ordered online for pickup. Great for a quick lunch.

I have eaten at this hole in the wall three times and I am always delighted. I went with the crowd favorite and I haven’t tried anything else. Meatball Mafia style is what I will get for the fourth time too.

Above Par sandwich joint as we drove from Fresno, CA into Placerville for a family wedding. Roxie’s doesn’t have indoor seating but a great outdoor patio with ample tables and chairs. The food is top notch which includes hot and cold sandwiches, macaroni salad, potato salad, coleslaw, chips, etc. and a 15 foot wall of refrigerators full of pop and sugary drinks. FYI… no public restroom which is why they get 4⁄5 stars.

Ordered a Meatball mafia style sandwich and a BBQ plate with pesto pasta + potato salad. The meatball mafia was as advertised — great crunch to the bread, juicy, flavorful meatballs, and a great combination of sauces. The BBQ was another story — the tri-tip was dry as hell, and the potato salad was bland. The pesto pasta was decent. I’d come here for the sandwich, but I would stay away from the dry, flavorless tri-tip unless it was fresh from the smoker.

Blah… Nothing wows me about this place. Had the Roxie supreme. Tastes like sandwich… Nothing special. Prices are pretty steep especially for a foot long. Idk maybe I ordered the wrong thing??? Orrrr this could be another place on the Unilocaler hype train??? Hmmm. I read some reviews about a «meatball mafia» sandwich or something??? Didn’t see that phrase on the menu. I was tempted to go with the tri tip but didn’t… Maybe next time.

I ordered a sandwich via postmates the other week. I had been craving a crab sandwich for awhile. I ordered the regular size, as I was promoted to choose junior, regular or supreme. Wow! Next time I’ll order the junior! It took me several days to finish that bad boy and I also gave probably a third of it to my boyfriend for his lunch. Huge! Yummy toppings and the bread was very good. My only complaint is that it was imitation crab. I was super disappointed because as I said, I had been craving a crab sandwich. Imitation crab doesn’t even come close to real crab meat. It was not specified that it was imitation crab. I even made a request for extra crab and was willing to pay more for that. Next time I’ll go with turkey and maybe I’ll be able to upgrade my review to four or five stars. We will see

The Roxie Meatball Mafia is tremendous. It’s a really good meatball sub with provolone, parmesan, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and peppers PLUS light mayo sour cream on Dutch Crunch Bread. I’ve never had a mayo/sour cream sauce on a sub before, and it was great. The Maple Bacon Kettle chips and Hubert’s Strawberry Lemonade went well with the sandwich. Not a ton of options, but the ones they had were excellent. Big fan all around.

Probably the best sandwich I have ever had! It was my first time there so I asked one of the workers to just whip me up something good. They settled on giving me the meatball sandwich on Dutch crunch. Now normally I would never order a meatball sandwich, but this one was TODIEFOR. It was hot, gooey, and the ingredients tasted super fresh. You can also get this sandwich«Mafia Style» with sour cream. I got the junior size and I could only finish one half! The sandwiches are super big and LOADED and you can’t beat the prices! I will forever be a loyal customer. Great team, great food, great environment, and great location!

This is it a little corner shop that offers barbecue during the weekdays. We came for the barbecue, but were a little thrown off since they don’t sell any on the weekends. We settled for a sandwich, but were pleasantly surprised with how delicious it was. They have tons of drinks and only outdoor sitting. Macaroni salad had chunks of cheese.

I actually been here several times before, about a year ago when I worked at our C street location. I remembered my wife and I enjoyed their pastrami sub. But ever since I moved to our Elk Grove location, I totally forgot about this place. Before I left for Rocklin today, I went into Unilocal to look at the Roxie menu and to my surprise they had breakfast subs. I told myself I will definitely shoot down that way before I head up to Rocklin. Traffic wasn’t too bad and I was there in no time. They have their own small parking lot where I parked my truck. I walked in and this guy asked me what I wanted today. I told him I wanted #4 meatball and egg sub. He said«great, it will be ready in a few minutes.» This gave me time to really check out the menu. The smell of the BBQ chicken was coming into the store as the smoker does its magic with the chicken. They have a variety of subs, BBQ and sides on their menu. They also offer catering. The gentleman behind asked me, «How’s your morning going so far?» I said, «great and it’s even better now that I’m sipping on my 24oz cup of Sumatra.» He smiled and said«cool». I asked him his name and if it was ok to order in before I pick up a sandwich. He said, «My name is Ryan and yes that’s perfectly ok to do so, so you won’t have to wait at all.» He wrapped up my sub and handed it to a young lady to ring me up. It came out to a little over $ 9 with tax. She handed it to me and I left. I jump in my truck and as I turned on the ignition, I could smell the meatball sub through the bag. I turned off the ignition and decided to just eat it at the parking lot. This was such a perfect breakfast sub. It was big and hearty. It came in a Dutch crunch roll with meatballs, two eggs, jalapeño, mayo, onions, and hot sauce. It was totally delicious. Took a pic of it before I posted it in Unilocal and wolfed it down bc I was running out of time. Now that I know I can stop by this place for a hearty breakfast sub, I’m pretty sure I will come to Roxie’s here and there. I will also try their ribs and BBQ chicken.

Oh, Roxie Deli. There is not enough hours in the day to get their sandwiches and barbecue into my mouth. They have a massive drink, beer, chip, snack, you name it selection. Everything is absolutely top of the charts delicious. Honestly, I wouldn’t buy a sandwich anywhere else. If I were on my death bed, the Roxie Special would be my last meal without a doubt. I would eat here every freaking day. However, the only reason I’m giving 3⁄5 is cleanliness and occasionally. The shelves in the drink refrigerators are dusty and dirty. The toaster ovens and walls could use a serious scouring, and I have no idea when the last time someone cleaned the inside of the deli case. It’s gnarly. I’ve worked in back of house for a long time and that’s not how a kitchen should look, especially one that’s viewable by customers. They need a SERIOUS deep clean and staff needs to get their cleaning game down. Also, the guy with the ponytail can come off as a little… Abrasive. The shorter dude with short blonde hair who looks like he’s 17 also takes about 4 years to throw a cold cut together. Otherwise, the owner is the chilliest cat and everyone is super friendly and seem genuinely interested in what their doing and providing a good experience. Even though these things need fixing, honestly, still my favorite place in sac.

I feel like this is a place loved by construction workers and college students. HUGE sandwiches, but they really aren’t all that exciting. SOMUCHBREAD. Their BBQ is certainly the star of the show here and they have a good bottled beer selection, which is nice. A downside to the BBQ, however, is that there is a distinct smokey smell and taste to everything here. Smoked bread? Ew. But everyone creaming their jeans over their food? I simply don’t get it. I’ve had a few sides and things from the deli, totally mediocre. Also, it’s a little weird how the staff will engage in lengthy banter despite there being a line 10 people deep. Also, the owners should take a day, remove everything and clean the place. It’s pretty gross.

My first time visiting this spot in yeeeears! I ordered the brisket sando. I got a couple of real fatty pieces of brisket but I made due. The jalapeños in the sando was a great touch of flavor to the sando. I also got to try the pastrami and turkey sando. Mmmmm so delicious and in my opinion better than the brisket sando. I also ordered a side of potato salad which I wasn’t a huge fan of due to it tasting super bland but I still ate it lol. To me the best part of the meal was the hipster beverages they have in stock. I ordered the pink lemonade and tea drink which was refreshing. Even though my sandos we’re decent they were beyond expensive. I’m far from a cheapskate but $ 10 – 12 for a super small sando is a rip off.

Always a hit. Never a miss. I love that they are quick and friendly. The lines tend to get long during the lunch rush but they do take call in orders. The Roxie supreme sandwich never disappoints and is my #1 go to sandwich however the tri tip and brisket sandwich are a close second.

Roxie is great. The icing on the cake is the employees– they are always super friendly, playful and lighthearted. They make sure you get your food how you like. The sandwiches are good, although their small sides are REALLY small for the price. None the less, its my go to sandwich place.

So, the sandwiches are great. Quality meat and ingredients. This is why I keep going back. However, their service can be a bit spotty. Today I was asked by two different people the specifics of my sandwich order 4 times. There wasn’t a line and I waited nearly 10 minutes for my sandwich. The employee making my sandwich was wasting time flirting with another person behind the counter and kept forgetting my order and what I wanted on my sandwich. Another time, the cashier grabbed a slice of cheese from the line and ate it as she rang up my order. Kind of bad food service etiquette. I hope the management improves the customer service, because the food is good.

You’re missing out if you haven’t yet taken visited the East Sac location to get the Roxie Special on sourdough and the Meatball Sandwich«mafia style» on Dutch crunch(junior sizes). Grab it all to go and eat in at McKinley Park, which is just three blocks from Roxie. You will not be disappointed. They also have craft beers and paper cups. Just sayin’. I can also vouch for the Downtown/Midtown location. Also good, plus they have homemade chips.

Just head over there right now… No, get in tour car and head over to Roxys deli right now. When you get there, you order the Mafia meatball and wait about 5 minutes and get ready for a taste of sandwich perfection. Thats just me tho. They have something for everyone, fresh slow cooked bbq that is AMAZING. They have a good selection of beers specializing in smaller local microbrews. They have an eclectic selection of drinks there too strawberry lemonade to jolt cola they got it. Throw in a small neighborhood joint feel where everyone is interested in how your day is going and you got an absolute must try.

I have been here about a dozen times over the past couple years(I work in the area) and Roxie’s consistently serves up delicious sandwiches! My favorites are the Meatloaf, Pulled Pork, and the House… but I have tried many of their offerings and have yet to be let down. The crew at Roxie’s always has an upbeat and friendly attitude too. FYI, their sandwiches tend to be a tad larger than most, so you can order any as a «junior» size. Seating is limited, although they do have a couple small tables on the sidewalk in front of the deli. If the tables are booked, you can always find a shady spot to enjoy your sandwich at McKinley park, which is just a 5 minute walk away. Give Roxie’s a try, you will not be disappointed!

Been coming here since 2010. Had the house sandwich and the veggie. Keep getting those and I love em on dutch crunch. Love their marinated mushrooms. Pasta, potato and mac salads are all tasty. Customer service is laid back and totally appropriate for the type of business. I like their variety of drinks and the bbq always smells delicious. Small building with only outside seating. I haven’t tried the new location and I don’t plan to! Its in a trendy location so I’ll stick to the east sac location.

The Meatball sandwich, Mafia Style, on the Dutch Crunch. All of their sandwiches are amazing… blah blah blah. Well, I’ve tried their pulled pork and brisket, which are very, very good. But nothing comes close to the meatball. I was VERY skeptical because meatballs are not my favorite, and honestly my last choice for a sandwhich. But I decided to try it after seeing a few reviews, and I am certain I will be ordering it again and again. Mafia Style simply means they add sourcream, which tastes a lot better than it sounds. I didn’t even get a picture because I devoured it within minutes… so delicious.

BESTSANDWICHPLACEINMIDTOWN!!! The best Brisket you’ll ever have in your life. There are a multitude of sandwich places in sacramento. Though none come close to the friendliness of the staff and the casual cool environment in Roxie’s. It’s the place where everyone knows your name and you feel like it is home.

Dutch bread is pretty good, hard but not too hard. Meatball Sandwich had a lot of flavor & a lil spice to it. Wish they served bbq on the wkends but it’s all good. Stepped in there around 11:45, good thing bc hella ppl started showing up 10min later.

I’ve been to Roxie a few times now and I have loved everything that I have tried so far. Their barbecue is really good for such a small store front. They also have an impressive selection in terms of the drinks, chips, and even lotto scratchers that you can purchase, and this is all separate from what they serve in the deli. The service does take a while for a sandwich shop, but I honestly believe that they use that time to make the sandwiches awesome. I also get really intimidated when I order for some reason. Their posted menu isn’t really intuitive, and there is always a line when I go, so I feel a little rushed to order and end up just saying something I read off the menu. Despite my stage fright, I have yet to have something that I couldn’t eat with gusto. My two favorites so far are the Meatball Sandwich and the BBQ Pulled Pork. The pulled pork is only available on Tuesdays as a part of their rotating BBQ menu. They have a few options as to how you can eat it including bowl, plate, and sandwich. I ordered a plate, which is basically a bowl, but it comes with two sides. They dress up the pulled pork with some onions, jalepenos, and cheese and it adds some really nice texture and taste. For my sides, I chose the pesto pasta salad and the orzo pasta salad. Both were really good, and even though I tried, I could not finish either completely. I recently tried the Meatball Sandwich, which you can get Mafia Style, which isn’t written on the menu, but you can definitely ask for. Mafia style means that it comes with sour cream. At first, I was really skeptical of the sour cream with the meatball and marinara, but it is actually criminally delicious(get it??). The meatballs alone would have also been really good. They are really well seasoned and kinda melt in your mouth. Normally, when I like a place, I find one thing on the menu that I really love and stick to it. Here though, I am so super excited to try as much as I can on their menu. I would love to recommend this place to anyone.

Wowzers. I don’t know why I hadn’t been here sooner. I took the day off, so that meant it was time to try some place new for lunch and sandwiches are my favorite food, so Roxie went on the schedule. I got a regular sized(on accident when I meant to order Junior) turkey, bacon, and avocado on a French roll, pre-made pesto shell pasta salad, and a fridge drink. The sandwich was MASSIVE. And SUPER delicious. Everything was fresh, they didn’t skimp on any ingredient, the turkey was delicious, the bacon was crisp… I dunno, man. It was rad. The pesto pasta salad was eh because the shells they used in it were much too thick and floury and dense. The fusilli version of the pesto salad is probably much better. Either way, I can’t wait to come back for a meatloaf sandwich or one of their daily BBQ sandwiches.

Let’s make this quick. Roxie is a stellar deli known for its microbrew selection as well as its smoked meats and deli sandwiches. Seat yourself at outside tables and enjoy a masterpiece. If you haven’t tried it, don’t repeat our mistake of driving past without ever stopping in. It’s a winner.

Made a little detour to finally visit this little deli that I’ve passed a few time to pick up some sammis for dinner. Nicely stocked with tons of fun convenience store items including some not found in your average store. Ordered the Pulled Pork, Meatball sub, and the Roxie veggie, and some peroshkis. Everything was very very good and made quickly with some great recommendations from the nice gentlemen behind the counter. Will come back if I’m looking for something hearty and quick to pick up.
