«BESTPIZZA-CHAINPIZZA-BUFFET» SIT-REP I have this made-up self-defined term that comes to mind when I think of pizza chains such as Dominos, Pizza Hut, Godfather’s Pizza, etc.: «SUBURBANPIZZA.» I guess by definition then«ROUNDTABLEPIZZA» would fall into this category. However, at least if it’s suburban pizza, RoundTable is the BEST of the suburban pizza chains, and I’m lucky enough that there is one that is 1-mile north of me(this one) and another one 1-mile south of me. THEFARE I actually don’t order whole pies from this Roundtable, nor do I get Pizza-by-the-Slice, as I do in the more downtown locations of Sacramento and San Francisco. What I do is catch the pedestrian walkway over HWY50, and along with my laptop, I combine a power walk with pizza luncheon run and enjoy the mid-day pizza buffet. I LOVE pizza buffets: * They are inexpensive, not costing more than $ 7 – 8 depending on whether I get soda or water * They have an ample supply of pizzas, unlike other places that make you wait for each pizza to come out and devoured by large groups of people, and which shall remain unnamed… oh hell, okay, MOUNTAINMIKE’S is the culprit here. * They have an ample VARIETY of pizzas, though I get tired of seeing pineapple as a topping on pizza. * And even if just rudimentary, there is a nice salad bar that has both lettuce AND spinach(good!) but also unfortunately also macaroni and potato salads(BAD! real BAD for my diet, but GOOD&YUMMY!). * I also go back and forth(on outings) between a side of RANCH or BLUECHEESE dressings to dip my pizza crusts in. «Mechanically-speaking», I like to RIP the crust of the pizza slice first, and then dip it into a dressing like a bread stick. THELOWDOWN All-in-All, a decidedly DECENT solo-pizza experience where I can eat in peace, not rushed and get some wifi-computing done.
