Rivithead

I received great service when I visited this shop. The male employee was friendly and patient. He constantly had to go back and forth to get shoes in my size and helped me lace up boots. It was filled with all sorts of goth, cyberpunk, punk clothing and shoes. They carry a lot of brands. Plenty of time to kill just browsing. They also have a jewelry display case that includes pieces from Alchemy Gothic. I ended up getting an Alchemy Gothic steampunk mjolnir necklace.

Wonderful selection, all in a range of sizes and neatly organized. The dressing rooms are truly large and immaculate. They carry the «Necessary Evil» line, which I can usually only find in the UK, so def a fan!
Love getting lost in here trying out things!
PS: I have been back several times since my first trip last year and each time I have had a delightful shopping experience and walked out with awesome clothing. I consider this now one of my favorites stores in the Bay Area!

I went to Rivithead today because I needed a watch for an event, and I saw online that they had a big selection.
I spent a few minutes checking out their footwear collection at the front of the store (those studded ballet flats with bats are the cutest!) before slowly making my way to the counter where they have their watches and jewelry pieces. I say «slowly» because there was so much stuff to look at that it took a while for me to get there!
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful; there was none of the attitude that one can get in a goth/​industrial type of store (if you’re in that scene, you know what I’m talking about!).
I bought a cute girly, gothy watch, and the man at the counter kindly set it at the correct time for me.
My husband and I walked out, only to find out later that there seemed to be an issue with the watch; we went back into the store a few hours later, and they resolved the issue in a matter of minutes.
Super happy that I walked into the store today; it will definitely not be the last time!

Went in today at the Telegraph Ave store and bought a cool studded bracelet.
The 3 workers were super cool and helpful!
Great price, as well!

The Clarences

I returned to Rivithead recently and picked up a nice shirt that looks great, fits well, and didn’t break the bank. Customer service was stellar once again: I was divided on getting the Slaine shirt in XL or XXL, and Paul advised me to go with the larger size. Sure enough, he was right! I normally wear a L, but the clothing here runs small and the XXL is perfect for my dance club (hello Cat Club!) and concert adventures.
I prefer understated dress, but I have a guy friend who is more of a fishnet/​chains/​buckles person and a gal friend who rocks anything from Victorian corsets to colorful fishnet shirts, and all three of us have had great success shopping here.

I love this store. I feel it will slowly take all of my money… and I’m ok with that. The selection is great, and the staff is friendly. I do wish they had more size selection, especially with the corset (though I just got the motivation to lose a bit of weight by buying a brand new, fabulous, slightly too small corset, so it works out hah). They also have a great selection online and if you go into the store they will order things to the store with no shipping costs so you can try them on. Definitely worth a stop for anyone who enjoys the darker things in life.

I said I’d update if I actually managed to buy something from here, and after this past weekend, I can definitely update and give it a far better rating!
My first experience in the store wasn’t very good, as I felt the clerk had better things to do than help me find a particular item in a size I wanted. Email communications for a few weeks after that were very similar. Eventually though, the email changed and someone found the item I was looking for in the size I wanted. I was originally going to just keep checking the site and see when they’d get the stock in, but instead someone emailed me directly to let me know that they had received a few sizes for me and wanted me to come in to try them on!
Despite not getting in right away, I was emailed a few times to let me know they were still hanging onto the sizes for me. I finally made it in and had a completely different experience. While my first visit there wasn’t terrible, I felt that the clerk had other things they wanted to be doing instead of helping me, but this time I was treated like an extremely valued customer and helped immensely. It was literally like night and day between the two employees.
I came out of there with my new purchase of shoes, plus my eye on at least two other items that I’ll be getting, and plans to be back.
The prices here are amazing (if you buy goth/​industrial clothes, you know the cost can be pretty out there), and if you get the right employee, the service is great. I couldn’t be happier with this store and will be more than pleased to order online or go back there in person.

New store on Telegraph with lots of goth and industrial clubwear for men and women, as well as some steampunk selections. Nicer than your standard Hot Topic stuff (does that place even sell goth/​industrial stuff anymore?) but still reasonably priced. Great boot and shoe selection; I noticed a lot of TUK creepers. They also have accessories (shoe stuff, hair dye, arm warmers, etc). and jewelry. It’s pretty hardcore goth/​industrial. You aren’t going to find any t-​shirts for Linkin Park there, if you know what I mean.
I know goths and rivetheads are meant to be all dark and foreboding and congregate in gloomy dungeons, but I appreciate that there was enough light and space in their new place to actually see what was being sold. They played a great soundtrack as well.
I think every goth or rivethead this side of the Bay is going to be really, really happy that this place is here.
