Great location, nice management, and plenty of amenities. It’s also, and most importantly, very affordable. For a starving college student who’s swimming in debt, that is a huge plus. I moved here around the summer of ’13. I figured I’m completely moved out now, so it’s deserving of a review. I’m surprised I’m only the second person posting one. The beginning of my move had a lot of construction going on. It actually carried on until the last day I was there in the complex, but it got lighter and quieter as the renovation moved rather swiftly and almost effortlessly. The place looks 100x better now. See for yourself in the pictures I’ll be posting. Kathy was a really good manager. She was accommodating and patient during my move and entire stay. I asked a lot of questions and she answered them all thoroughly. Chuck, as well, was helpful in little problems concerning my apartment fixtures(1 bedroom, 1 bath) — new drawer, lights, AC unit, etc. I don’t recall having to wait long for an issue I brought up as it was addressed and taken care of immediately without any expense from my end. One of the highlights living here was the fact that it was only a 5-minute walk to campus(CSUS), yet still I managed to come in late for some of my classes. my fault. not a morning-person. I also enjoyed that I was literally next to the scenic bike trail alongside the American River, which provided a good escape for jogging and, of course, riding my fixie. I see a lot of people walking their dogs there, too. Which leads me to answer your question, «Why not a 5-star?» .well, because I have dogs now, and sadly they don’t allow pets anywhere near the property. Besides the fact that I live in a much more affordable condo now, their pet policy was the main reason I moved out. Other than that, I enjoyed my humble little abode in their complex. Everyone was nice and friendly, from my next-door neighbors to the management team. I highly recommended this place, especially if you’re a student in Sac State looking to move out. You’ll save gas money and you’re also near a variety of great food places by Fair Oaks, just in case you want to mix it up away from your typical poor-college-student diet: instant ramen, spam, hot pockets, and other microwavable food that comes in a frozen box… ahh the college life ~
