Price is fair. Quantity and quality of the wood was more than I expected. They were able to deliver the same day.

Stopped by to get a few logs to make some candle holders and the staff was really friendly and helpful. If I was one to actually need firewood I would definitely come here again. Good variety in woods too

Gave me a fair price. Loaded it in my truck for free. Took my VISA card. Explained exactly what I was buying & why. In & Out in less than 15 minutes.

I was really impressed with the quality of wood and the great service I received. Went in today to order and make sure the size of logs would fit my insert. Perfect size 16 inch logs, white oak, well seasoned and they delivered it to my house two hours later… talk about service. I won’t be shopping firewood anymore, this is the spot!

This is THE place to go for firewood. We went to another place for years, left the area, then returned and checked Unilocal to find less than flattering review of the old place. We saw the great reviews for Pak & Save and decided to try it. We were glad we did! It is the best and easiest firewood transaction we have ever made!
They have their prices laid out on the office counter by type and amount of wood. If you are not familiar with wood quantities, they have examples racked out front so you can see exactly how much wood each quantity looks like. Once you select the wood and quantity you want, if you are not having it delivered, you pull your vehiicle over to a waiting rack and someone loads it for you. You can be in and out in under 10 minutes with a car or truck bed of firewood. If you do not have enough room to store your wood, they will even give you the larger quantity discount and let you take a portion of an order with you. You can return any time later with your receipt and pick up more.
The quality of the wood is excellent. It is dry, well-​seasoned, and is cut into managable, usable log sizes to fit your fireplace or woodstove. Definitely the place to go for firewood in the Sacramento area!

We liked them too. I called on Tuesday and scheduled a Sat. delivery of walnut wood. They said the delivery cost was half price at $ 30. For us that was a reasonable cost. My concern is when we order again from them will they want $ 60. That is a bit too much. They said the delivery would be between 8 – 9. the guy got here at quarter to 10. For no extra cost he did stack the wood for us. That was very, very nice. Overall we were happy with them.

Javier delivered exactly a cord. I know, because I measured it. 4×4×8. He delivered it the same day I ordered it. I’m burning the wood tonight and it is dry and burns well.
5 stars because they do what they say they will do. It would have been nice to get a little more than a cord, but can’t hold anything against them for delivering exactly what was ordered. It’s not exactly cheap, but you’re not getting cheated, which is different from most places that sell fire wood.
I will order from them again next time.

Great place for firewood. They have different kinds of wood to choose from, and they load it up in your vehicle for you! Much cheaper than the crappy wood you get at supermarkets. I load up every year to have plenty of wood for our camping trips.

This place is rad! I popped in, filled up my trunk with decent wood and was gone within 5 or 10 minutes. The guy that helped me was super nice and I’ll definitely come back here again.

Helped my neighbor Al get another cord of wood for his wood-​burning stove which also heats his home (especially on an uncharacteristically cold, wet, STORMY day like today in Sacramento).
SET-​UP
Pak & Save is just off of Folsom Blvd where Jackson Road intersects and these gents have a lot of wood available for local area residents who need it for their wood burning furnaces and stoves.
Since this is pretty much a ONE-​ITEM (a few if you count the different KINDS of wood, but that’s splitting hairs), and a simple operation, they do their best to keep costs as cheap as possible. $ 40-​$ 60 gets you a lot of wood.

I don’t understand the other reviewers who give such negative reviews because they don’t take credit cards and because they were closed, self-​admittedly after they were there after closing hours (?) And then to skew their reviews to one-​star because they are having an online hissy fit? Pretty pathetic Unilocalers with no sense of business ethics for themselves. Just because you are a poor, irresponsible consumer who can’t abide by general business rules of operation does not imply that a business owner is less than professional.

So, you want to have a fire but you don’t have any firewood? Don’t go to the supermarket and spend $ 10 for a small box of wood! Go to Pak & Save Firewood. For $ 40 you get a 2×2×4 load of firewood. The $ 40 package is for pine, but they also offer oak, almond and walnut in incremental additional price ranges. There are also a wide range of sizes if you need more or less. Plus, they load it into your car for you. After a rain it’s wet so you may want to get some kindling also, which they sell. All in all, it’s relatively inexpensive to just head over here and get some wood.
