A little hard to find, hidden in a park, but worth the search. You enter and it looks a bit sketchy but the food is good and the service is super. Food could be a little better quality but I was still satisfied.

Great spot to grab a bite in Land Park. This place is more like a cafeteria for those finishing up a round of golf but I’m sure they welcome the wayward zoo dad in search of a cold beer. No frills menu but that’s what makes it great. Rumor is they’re expanding their patio so I can’t wait to return. Now I just have to work on my inside voice.

Perfect for what it is. The food here is way better than you might expect and the ladies that work here(own it?) are super friendly. Definitely worth a laid back stop in for lunch if you’re nearby. It took a little while to get our food but we did come at the lunch rush.

I bring my 2 yr. old grand daughter here every Thursday and we always have a great breakfast at Mulligans. They always make her a mickey mouse face pancake which she gets a big kick out of. The food and service is top notch. Coming from a family of short order cooks, I can really appreciate a good breakfast and Mulligans is about as good as it gets in Sacramento. Just a wonderful cozy spot on the Land Park golf course.

Just had breakfast this morning with my sister, brother-in-law, and niece! Great little spot for brunch on Sundays. The prices were pretty reasonable, and the 2-pancake, 2-egg plate I had was delish. It’s been awhile since I had pancakes so good, and the whipped butter was the icing on the perfectly crispy-edged cakes. We were pretty much the only people there other than the ambitiously early golfers, so that was nice. They’re dog-friendly out on the patio, too, which is nice if you wanna take a stroll through the park after. Would definitely come back next time I’m in the area, especially to check out their happy hour deals on beer!

This place was really disappointing. Took a very long time for the food to arrive. I ordered the breakfast burrito. Greasy, mostly all egg inside, gross store bought salsa on the side. I don’t recommend coming here, not worth the money.

We live in the neighborhood and finally walked over here for the first time a few weeks ago to enjoy an early breakfast on the patio next to the putting green. I had the 2 pancakes and 2 eggs with bacon, and my husband had the breakfast sandwich. The food was great, came out of the kitchen quickly, and their prices are quite reasonable. Bonus points for offering hash browns!(a lot of restaurants just do breakfast potatoes). The chef even offered our dog some water. We will definitely be making this a regular breakfast or lunch spot when we take our dog and infant for walks through the park.

Not recommended. 2 members of the family were food poisoned and were throwing up all night after having lunch there.

3.25 Stars! I was in the neighborhood plus after going to the dentist this morning, I wanted to eat rather quickly. This seemed to be a good choice as my HB’s former boss mentioned he had eaten here a number of times and said it was okay. He does play golf here with his buddies. That did prompt me to make a decision to eat here. Mulligan’s Café is located next to the Pro shop where the William Land Park golf course is. It appears they are undergoing renovation. So we were walking in circles lost as usual especially if you’re hanging with my HB that’s easy to do. He’s directionally challenged. It’s pretty casual where you need to go up to the counter & place your food order. I ordered the chorizo & egss with country potatoes & sourdough toast. My HB ordered the breakfast burrito with everything in it. He was pretty happy with his meal. Mine was good although the potatoes could have used some ketchup. I did take a part of my meal home. I don’t normally eat a lot that early in the day but I waited to eat bc of my dentist appointment this late morning. With both of our meals, our total came to 16.80. We didn’t order any drinks but they did bring us ice water in paper cups. This café holds six tables with 2 tables for two people & the rest for four. We were the only ones in there but then later more men entered the café. There is a refrigerator in there to purchase bottled soda, water, etc. Also they do sell chips too. I supposed that’s good business bc then after playing golf one does get the munchies. I’m not sure I would be back. I lived in this area for all my life not knowing this place existed. Now isn’t that something?

Mulligan’s Café is, as mentioned in other reviews, a small café attached to the Pro Shop at the William Land Park golf course. It’s casual and comfortable and staffed by a hard working crew that delivers good basic food at great prices. It’s counter service for ordering and the food is then delivered to your table. There are a few tables in the café as well as a few umbrella tables outside facing the course. I had the French toast, two eggs and two bacon breakfast… all for about $ 6.00. Everything was fine, eggs cooked exactly to order and, while not the thickest bacon, on par with what you would get at Dennys(for comparison purposes). The great thing about this little café is that it’s at a fantastic park… indulge in some comfort food, then head out the door and enjoy a nice calorie burning walk around the park! Perfect way to start the day :-)

Found this place on Unilocal,I like random spots. and I must say I’m kinda glad I came. the hamburger was not fancy but delicious. The bun they put it on was buttered and grilled. Yumm… Fries are beet battered and really good. Not a huge selection, but what they have is good. Best part the prices, 2 people ate for $ 16.

This is the secret cheap breakfast/lunch diner spot people don’t know about because it’s a café on a golf course. Get out the house, take a walk through Land Park and have some cheap and good pancakes and eggs.

This place is really easy to miss! My friend and I were driving around trying to find it and out of instinct, I turned into this little golf area and what do you know, they were there. I’m so glad I found their place because to be honest, I CANEATTHEIRGRILLEDCHEESEERRDAY!!! They use garlic butter, I believe, for their sandwiches and mmmmmmm, delicious! Really small but that’s what makes it comfortable. Love it!

Had breakfast with my son here. We did not like it. I had biscuits and gravy. The gravy was to think and bland. I had eggs over easy, again not good. The whites too solid and eggs were more like over medium. My son also ordered eggs over easy. They were closer to medium also. He told the man he wanted sausage but when the food came out they brought him eggs and pancakes. We never mentioned pancakes, not for my son or myself.

I’m torn between the desire to spread the word about this place and the selfish desire to keep it a secret — a happy, tasty, quality secret. The food is so much better than you’d expect from a golf course snack bar. It’s more like a kickass little grill that just happens to be attached to a pro shop. But however you define it, they serve delicious burgers, sandwiches and breakfasts. If we had known about this place back when we were Fairytale Town regulars, we’d have eaten a lot better on those happy outings.

First time here and I will come back. Mulligan’s is a small café at the William Land Park Golf course. Most golf courses have something to service the players but the nice thing is the place is accessible even if you aren’t playing. Because of Unilocal,I decided to forego the zoo food and forced my kids to wait to eat here(don’t worry they didn’t starve to death). Let me say they have a nice selection of food to choose from; including polish dogs, nachos, and breakfast! Happy hour is from 3– close. Oh– the place is small so if you have a large crowd there is outdoor seating, tables inside seat 4. I would recommend taking older kids or kids who can behave just cause its not really set up for kids and there can be dangers(carts-running on the green, the café part inside is small and couldn’t handle rugrats running around. I wouldn’t eat here if my children were in a «mood» so it definitely would be a treat to stop here. We ordered the Garlic Butter Cheeseburger combo and 2 All Beef Jumbo hotdog combos. Combos come with fries or salad and a drink. I believe everything was under $ 20. Food is made to order, atleast ours was, so the fries were crispy and slightly garlicky-delicious! The dogs are split and grilled, served on toasted bread that gets a layer of garlic butter. The kids loved it and ate everything, and asked to go back again. I would like to try breakfast, seemed to have a nice selection. Food is good(better than zoo) and prices are reasonable. I would recommend to anyone who frequents the zoo or the area. This will be our go– spot when visiting the area attractions. Thanks Mike S. for the«insider» secret!

Hidden spot by the Land Park driving range. Super friendly and nice location in the park. Good prices with pretty standard fare. We tried the $ 4 breakfast sandwich: eggs, swiss cheese, sausage, tomato on a wheat. It’s definitely a great place to relax after the driving range or even happy hour for locals.

ATTENTIONPARENTS: I have discovered the holy grail. Keep this quiet, but I have figured out how to enjoy a day at the greater Land Park Zoo, Fairytale Town, Funderland Area. Read this carefully and take note… Do you like taking your kids to the great venues at Land Park, but absolutely hate the crappy food they offer? Does a day with your kids and their friends(not to mention the other park patrons) make you crave an alcoholic beverage? Wish you could have a good meal and a beer on one of these outings? Look no further than Mulligan’s — the little hidden gem of a café located in the pro shop at the Land Park Golf Course. It has about five tables inside, and a few outside that sport a beautiful view of the practice green and the rolling hills of the golf course. The burgers are great. The hot dogs are fine. The chicken strips are fantastic(according to my five year old).(I hear breakfast is awesome too.) The prices are great, and the staff is extremely nice. It is never busy. Then there’s the five or so premium beers on tap and a great selection of wine. SCORE! So, here’s how the day works. Get to Land Park at about 11:00 a.m. and park in the lot for the golf course. Have lunch and an adult beverage at Mulligan’s. Then take the short walk to Funderland, Fairy Tale Town, or to the zoo. Have a great time, and then walk back. If you need a snack and another beverage before you head out, hit Mulligan’s again. No need to thank me. I consider this a public service.

Tiny little café that you’d have to be in the know to know where this place is. Just finished a delicious BLT and drinking Stella Artois. I only wished I came in 15 minutes earlier for their breakfast special. Pancakes, eggs, and bacon for under $ 5? Nice… The people next to us ordered the breakfast… and the pancakes looked huge! But then again… pancakes and beer? Maybe not… mmmm beer. Yes… it’s before noon when I ordered… lol The two young ladies behind the counter were friendly and cheerful. And they cleaned! Definitly a gem in the city.

I posted this once, but I will do it again! Mulligan’s is a small little café attached to the pro shop at Land Park golf course. And this is a must try! The chef is one kick ass dude who should be making six figures at some fancy hotel. After we finished golfing this morning, we went to grab a bite to eat. The special was 2 eggs and 2 pancakes for $ 2. With bacon, it was $ 3.50. With coffee, $ 5. And all those prices include tax! Where else can you get great grub for a five spot?!? The portions were more than I could stand and exceptional. Also, they have a collection of snacks and drinks, even a handful of beers on tap. Heck, you can even order a pitcher and enjoy the sun. Maybe you all shouldn’t try it because it might interfere with my total enjoyment of the place. But I can’t help myself. Go and go often!!! **** When we were in last week, we were told that Mulligan’s would no longer be serving breakfast. The lunch menu would be available, but nothing else. A sad day in Mudville. **** 6⁄21 — Smiles all around! First, I ended the 9th hole at Land Park with a 49 foot putt for par. Great way to end the day. Then we went into Mulligan’s and breakfast is back!!! I got a kickin’ breakfast burrito for $ 6 that was fully loaded with eggs, cheese, sausage, and hash browns. All I can say is that I am one happy camper.
