I have lived here for almost 3 years now, I would give this place a better rating however there are many things that need to be fixed/taken care of. From where it started when I moved in it has gotten better. The majority of people that were causing drama are gone. However the internal parts of the apartments is what gets me, things are band-aided rather than fixed properly. And i understand the owner is on a budget, but the fact that i pay $ 700/month, have no amenities that other places offer for the same or close to same price is difficult. The only reason i haven’t moved is because saving up money while paying that much is a little difficult to do. My car has been broken into on 5 occasions. The apartments behind(to the side) of us is always loud, playing loud music, screaming at late/early hours. You cannot have your windows open late at night, because you will just here kids/adults screaming and yelling. Basically if you can find somewhere in a nicer neighborhood for the same price, i would suggest looking there. The owner also will knock on your door and basically tell you your kids can’t have any fun outside. No chalk, no food/drinks, no bikes, nothing. its pretty ridiculous. The tenants that live here on the other hand, get along, are nice and respectful. And code enforcement has been out, and demanded things to be repaired, that was about 1 month ago… and the things that were supposed to be fixed have not been addressed.

I lived in this complex through two managements. This complex is literally falling off the foundation. They have mold issues, mildew issues, roaches, bedbugs. Instead of fixing falling boards and support beams they fixed the pool. Gates are up but keep the violent tenants inside with drugs. After moving 3 months later my son who grew up there and was told had high functioning autism was retested and I was told there was a toxin in the place i was living that was causing his symptoms and now he is able to talk clearly and make eye contact. I also ended up with major health issues. There are a few open cases with code enforcement open at this time. IF you move here make sure you keep records of everything because this place is a law suite waiting to happen. Most tenets don’t stay longer then 6 months to a year because of how bad it is. I have seen shootings, beating, drugs and had someone corner me trying to make out with me saying they had been watching me, landlady moved him in across from me claiming that he didn’t seem that bad. Its looks nice at first but once you move in you notice everything. Know your renting rights cause the landlady will bully and threaten things that are not the law but they figure you wont sue so its ok.
