Haven’t been in a long while, but still thought I’d write a review. 1. I haven’t been here once where the night DIDN’T end with me puking in the bathroom or in the parking lot. And that one reason is why I haven’t been in a long while. Bartenders are cool, heavy hands, and always good to keep em coming. I liked that this bar always had an easy going feel and yet still had nights where you could get your dance on.

It’s all about what you are looking for. Good beer, not too noisy, and generally cute servers… this is it. This is more of an average type sports bar, nothing fancy; yet not a dive bar either. Especially considering how hard it has been for me to find a good sports bar in the Roseville/Rocklin area; I like this one.

I wasn’t sure about this place at first but the moment I entered, I was right at home at the bar. It wasn’t too loud, wasn’t too busy – it was just right. I ordered a burger with two sides, buffalo wings, and cheese-stuffed potato skins with a side of sour cream. The potato skins were good. Buffalo wings okay. Burger? Reminded me of why Squeeze Inn is overhyped. Overall it was a good experience. Customer service was friendly and willing to please. The only thing I have to complain majorly about was this white dude who nattered away when I was watching a game with a friend. Seemed like he didn’t have any friends or some such since he went from patron to patron, chattering away. He was close at one point where I could feel the specks of spit hitting my face. And he went on and on about point spreads, far-fetched conspiracies behind the scandals of major star athletes like Woods and Favre, of why other teams lose when other favorites don’t cover, etc etc. It was like listening to a madman bookkeep who has lost a few nuts from hitting too deep in sports betting and he had a fixation on the F bomb compounded with the anal region. Of course, I can’t blame Mandango’s for this. Even our bartender wasn’t sure how to serve him. Other than that, I liked this place. Pros: –Nice customer service –Decent food –Separate booths from the bar, everyone one of them with their own TV if you like privacy –Nice draught selection Cons: –They don’t know how to make the classic rum and coke

My wife and I are nice people. The person in charge at the time kicked us out. Here’s the story: My wife and I were fortunate enough to have a babysitter on a Friday night, and go out on a much needed romantic date. We planned dinner and a comedy show. Well, dinner finished early, so we decided to stop off at Mandangos to watch a few mins of the Giants in the WS before the comedy show. We’ve been here many times as binge drinking college students. Plus, they renovated it so we thought it would be a good place to burn some time. There weren’t a lot of people there so we sat down at the first table we saw. Waitress comes over, we get water, let her know we just want to watch a few mins of the game and prob won’t order anything. She says no prob. She leaves, and about 3 mins later the«person in charge» shows up from a back office somewhere and says that if we don’t order anything, we have to leave. She says that we could be taking a table from a paying customer. We look around and notice it’s very slow. There obviously isn’t any one waiting to be seated or anything, but she continues. I cut her off and say she doesn’t have to continue explaining. Rather than a «take-care-of-you» attitude, it seemed like she came across with an egotistical«us-against-them» attitude and wanted us to take a hike. Anyway she retreats back to the room she came from. My wife and I still had time to burn, and we wanted to watch the game, so we stand just outside and watch the game through the front door. Just before it’s time for us to go to the show, I walk back in and ask the bartender for the name of the person in charge who kicked us out. After being reluctant and a little standoffish and little prying from me he finally gave me her name: Jennifer. I laughed a little at the fact that a few patrons around the bar whispered and asked the bartender if she kicked us out because she had something against interracial couples. Of course I would happily give my table to a patron or group of people who wants to enjoy a nice meal or a few beers if the place were crowded. That’s the logical, nice, and unselfish thing to do in that circumstance on my part. But you have to understand, sitting in a bar & grill with very slow business at the time, and being kicked out of the place with an excuse of «we may taking a table from someone who may pay» with no one else around accomplishes nothing but causing you to come across as an @$$hole, egotistical, and unfriendly person who could just be having a bad day and is searching for an argument. An outgoing person in charge with a great personality would have made it known that since we aren’t paying customers, we’d have to go, but since it is slow you can stay for now unless it gets busy. That’s the friendly way to go about it. She chose the other option. The owner is a fantastic guy. I’ve met him at a charity golf tournament benefitting child cancer where he donated food and beer, my wife worked at the print shop for a few years that does all of their printing, and he also owns Scott’s Sea Food. I will definitely be going to his other places of business, just not Mandango’s on Fulton. We were humiliated.

I quite like this place for the sports bar setting. On my last visit, I came in with my best friend and we ordered a Philly Cheese Steak and a Mushroom Pizza. The time to receive the food was pretty lengthy, but the server was very nice about it. The food was delicious! I didn’t order any cocktails, but I was assume that they are pretty pricey here. Also expect a fairly rowdy crowd when dining here, as expected from this setting.

This place was okay… We had a coupon and think that is why I am giving it a 3 star and not a 2. The food is similar to Applebees or Fridays, so it is not anything to write home about. There was only one cook and one guy that was the host, bartender, server, cashier, etc. He was great… but they needed more people working that night for sure!

I read all the bad reviews and we still came here… It wasn’t awful. It wasn’t great. I think its like Denny’s food with a bar and a lot of tv’s… The food was ok… Nothing great… Somewhat affordable… The service was fine… It seemed like one guy was doing everything… I don’t think we will go back…

what a HUGE difference after the remodel! the bartenders actually make you a drink now and the servers give you a smile back rather than a scowl or a wise ass remark… much improved! i’ve been twice now. a late monday night was perfect for a turkey burger, any 3 sides, and a stiff cocktail. just this past sunday for NFL week 1 was a bit rowdy, however. if you were there for the games too, don’t write them off! no one could have anticipated how slammed they got. yes it was week 1 but still… who wants to overprepare for a day and have no one show? have a snack at home, order a pitcher when you get there, and ride the wave until your food comes. 24 flat screens with any game i want and the ranchero nachos with that euphoric pulled pork will get me back there, especially since it’s around the corner so i can slooowly head back home…

Hmmm. Well, there are some good things to be said about the«new» Mandangos on Fulton. 1. The service is much improved — we actually had a delightful waitress. 2. The new seating area is really comfortable and much more«restaurant» like. We appreciated both of these things since we don’t come for sports or socializing. Then there are the things that are not so hot… 1. The new menu. Well, it looks like it should have improved, and perhaps it has, but we were really hot on their old burger(the one served on ciabatta). That’s what would get us in the door. Now it is on a plain bun, which just isn’t nearly as special. The sides I had, mac n’ cheese and a greek salad were fine, but the greek salad was pretty much all red onions, bitter cucumbers, hardly any dressing and served on the same plate as the burger and mac… which means if there was a vinaigrette on it the rest of the dish would be swimming in dressing. 2. No more shuffleboard. Not that we really took advantage of it, but it is our favorite bar game and a hard one to come by. Will we be back? Not sure how often, but then again, we hadn’t been in awhile(mainly due to the old digs and scene). My husband will be there when it starts to rain — «when it’s raining, it’s happy hour at Mandangos!»

Great place to hang out and have a quick bite or to start out a night of clubbing. Friendly bar staff, decent food, and nothing that will hit your pocketbook too hard.

The new management has done this place wonders! This place is worth coming to now if you’ve been before and had a less than positive experience. Give em another chance! Went in here with a few friends for dinner and drinks. It was a little slow so i was skeptical at first, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt since it was a Wednesday night. And I’m glad I did! Had a tuna melt with Thai salad and mac n cheese and my man had the pastrami with mac n cheese and onion rings. Holy Moley. It’s a good thing we both got our own mac n cheese because that stuff was made by the gods! I’ll be in again just to get me a big bowl o mac! Both the samiches were delicious, too. The thai salad was a little bland. When I think Thai, i think big flavor. We ended up getting four pitchers of beer and our bartender man only charged us for three! Sweet… Pool tables, dart boards, and about a bajillion flat screen TVs are there, too. Did I mention the BOMB mac n cheese? =) Good thing this place is right next to 24HR.

Word on the street is that this place has happy hour whenever it rains? What?! I walked in and it’s true! Pretty clever. Now, it’s either stay home and watch the rain OR go to Mandango’s for cheap drinks. Decisions, decisions. The place looked pretty new when I came to visit Mandango’s. The bartender was very helpful and attentive. The menu items sounded really good, but I ended up not getting anything other than a rum and diet. There weren’t too many people in the bar. It’s a perfect place to go to watch whatever game is on. They have like 50 billion TV’s in there. Well, maybe not that many but if you were to stand in any part of the restaurant and just turn around in a circle while watching the game, I guarantee you wouldn’t miss anything because everywhere you look there’s a TV. That’s bananas! So fellas, TV’s galore over here! Mandango’s also has a pool table and a couple dart boards. The video games they have there need some updating. I believe they have an electronic jukebox there but it wasn’t turned on at the time. Although, I think this bar and grill needs to relocate. It seems out of place in that shopping center. It’s making all the other surrounding businesses look super old. I would definitely come back here. Good place to hang out with friends and watch sports.

Not the worst bar I’ve ever been to BUT kinda close. Service is the worst part. So many bartenders but NONE of them know how to do their job. Even though we had VIP wristbands, we kept being charged full price for drinks. One of the bartenders even argued with us for 5 minutes over $ 3. GET A LIFE. The go-go dancers were hot. The music was standard. The crowd was standard too. No bells & whistles with this place. Pretty boring compared to most other bars/clubs. No organization &TERRIBLE service. AVOIDMANDANGO’S if you can go somewhere else, you’ll have a better night.

If I could give ZERO stars, I would… This place is AWFUL! Horrible location, horrible service, hockey puck-like sliders that had nothing on them but tiny cuts of onion and a smathering of ketchup and mustard. They were hard and cold(not the kinda slider I wanted, or that anyone would want). The beer was overpriced for a pitcher of Pabst Blue Ribbon(12 $). I could get 412-packs for that price… The service, argh, where to begin. This ditsy server woman was our server. She looked and acted like she belonged in a craft store making puppets for children, not serving at a sports bar. We asked for an extra ranch for the tostada salad(which is a salad on top of three crispy taco shells… silly, silly salad). She replied«Let me know when you’re done with that one and I will bring you another.» I have never had my ranch rationed for my salad before. I went behind her back and asked the chef. He gave me some. 2 minutes later, we got the fifth degree for asking the chef for some ranch. I felt like we were in trouble for asking for extra ranch… It’s just F-ING RANCH! GIVEMESOME F-ING RANCH!!! If you like horrible service, terrible waitresses, wretched/overpriced food and a kick to the groin for being normal, please, dine here. If you are a decent human being and have a sense of pride in what you do with your life, please go somewhere else. DONOTWASTEYOURPRECIOUSMOMENTSINTHISHELLHOLE!

This Mandangos suck! They do not have a dance floor, they have people who sing karaōke which is okay, its not as nice as the one in Elk Grove. The night we went the bartender didn’t have any of the flavored liquors we wanted and he was rude. I will not go back.

Never deny my request at a restaurant. Or if you MUST at least offer me something comparable in return. I walk up to the bar because I want to order a miller lite. No miller lite. bud lite? no bud lite. Coors lite? nope, not that either. Okay do you have any lite beer here? Not at the moment. Uhhh… So I get a large hefewiezen which was pretty tasty but I got charged 5.25 for it which annoyed me because I wanted the 3 dollar draft of lite beer but they were out. He didn’t even offer me the hef on happy hour priced. 2nd, I decide to sit at a table so I could comfortable watch sports(I’m an avid sports fan and a pizza and beer kinda girl that loves doing housework naked) And it takes about 15 minutes for the lady to acknowledge my presence. I proceed to order food off the happy hour menu and she looks at me questionably and asks, «Is it still happy hour?» It most certainly WAS and there was still a good 45 mins left of it. So that was a major bug. Then I saw her go over to the next table and when they ordered happy hour she said«i’m not sure if it’s still happy hour…» Ok I mean I know times are tough but don’t you dare play me for a fool. After another string of bad events which I’m too lazy to mention, I have to hand her the bill because she never returned to claim it. I almost walked out without paying because she took so long. The pizza was kinda good. The fried dough balls were EH… Over all… EH! we left early… I’ll probably be back though, cuz of the convenience and tv’s but not b/c i like it.

Passable place to catch a game on TV — food is standard bar fare and service is a crapshoot. PROS: Most sports available, and during the day you can usually request whatever game you want. Big, tasty wings. Specials and coupons available. CONS: Inconsistent service and food quality. I go here occasionally to catch a football or baseball game, usually during the midafternoon. So I’m going for the food and sports, not so much for the drink. Sometimes your server is friendly, sometimes not. Sometimes they’re on the ball with the order, sometimes you get something different than what you ordered. I can’t really recommend this place unless you’re jonesin’ for decent wings and want to catch a game.

Eh… A couple of pool tables and a bunch of TVs = sports bar in Sac. Maybe they do have«wear your favorite sports team clothes and you get free beer» night, but I wouldn’t know. It seemed more like a dance club with no dance floor. Mandango’s is Heaven as far as my friend Tony is concerned. Mandango’s is the best bar in the universe. He wanted to go there every day during his visit to Sactonia. He lives in Hawaii, where they only have bars which are adjacent to the beach, where you’re served by tanned beach kids. Boo-Hoo. I guess I feel out of place buying pitchers of anything but Coors, or Miller, Bud Light, or other cheap beer. Also, I don’t drink Coors, Bud, or MGD(at least not on purpose. OK, call me a beer snob!) Having said that, Mandango’s does have a wide beer selection. Mandango’s offers food, and that food is more than merely edible. So that’s a plus. Glass pitchers. That’s good too. But everything was sticky, and that’s definitely not Heaven.

Mandango sucks toes. The patrons tend to be friendly but not the staff — especially not the guys at the door. It’s a bar, so I don’t expect an emphasis on customer service but there should be at least some decency in how they treat their customers. I’ve gone out a half an hour before the bar closed(which is really 1:15 am due to bar clocks always being set ahead) to smoke a cigarrette and was not allowed back in. The door guy didn’t tell all the people out front to get back in before their half an hour policy and a group of people were stuck outside. He wouldn’t even let a gal in to grab her purse — even after she described it and asked that he grab it instead. It’s like, «come on now, bouncer. Grow a brain. There’s other ways that you can handle things than being an unnecessary dickweed.» Like I said, the patrons tend to be friendly and, other than the staff, it has a friendly vibe so I don’t detest the place. I just won’t go there unless I’m out with my friends and majority rules. Luckily, they tend to feel the same way and have stopped patronizing it too.
