Makeup and Hair By Anne

Well I don’t really think this lady is a professional because just like the previous post by CASEY O. She flaked out on me ! I am supposed to be getting hair and makeup for a wedding tomorrow (Saturday !) i scheduled with her like 1 week in advance and ok Friday she ignored my calls. My voice mails and texts. No replies. Please do not rely on this girl ! She sounds legit and sweet … And professional but obviously she’s not !! Who freaking flakes out the day before someone’s event ?? Ridiculous! She should take her page down ! And YES ANNE TOU DID TALK TO ME ! Don’t reply with your bull**** like you did to CASEY Os comment ! Thanks!!!

Anne does AMAZING work. I was one of four bridesmaids and Anne did all of our hair and makeup for the big day. She made sure each one of us looked beautiful and used colors and styles that fit us personally. She spent a lot time with the bride and I (maid of honor) before the wedding and even gave the bride a trial run. Her prices were very reasonable as well and she even negotiated those with us. Honestly, I never want anyone else to my makeup. I’ve had others do it and it was nearly as good. Anne is great, so nice, professional, and fun to be around! I will definitely call her next time I need anything done :)

Anne is definitely talented but she has no business sense and lacks customer service. My initial meeting w/​Anne in June went exceptionally well and I hired her for hair and makeup for myself and my 3 bridesmaids. She said that she would bring 2 assistants with her to ensure that I’m ready on time. We met again in July for a 2.5-hour trial. She was ready to work, gave me wonderful tips on shaping my brows, and did a great job creating that natural look I was going for. I told her that this was the look and style that I wanted for my wedding.
In October, about 10 days before my wedding I met Anne at her house to give her the final payment and she started asking me basic questions such as how I wanted my hair, how many bridesmaids I have, and what the remaining balance was. It was as if we had never met before! I reminded her that all the details were in writing and that I can forward her that email again if she wanted. She assured me she keeps all her emails, and she’ll go over that email later. I specifically reminded her during this brief meeting to show up at 6:30 a.m. and that we needed to be finished by 10:30 a.m. These timing details had also previously been discussed in our emails. On 11÷1÷13 (the day before my wedding), I sent Anne a text message that I’ll be seeing her at 6:30 a.m. the next day. She acknowledged my text & said «ok».
At 6:40 a.m. on the day of the wedding there was no sign of Anne. I called her and there was no response. I called her again at 6:50 a.m. and she still did not pick up. At 7:10 a.m., she called me back to say that she was on the way. She rang the doorbell at exactly 7:30 a.m., which is ONE HOUR LATE! Additionally, she walked in ALONE and without her 2 assistants. I asked Anne where her assistants were, and she said «What assistants?» Additionally she did not offer any apologies for being late or a reason, which probably would have been a poor excuse anyways. As Anne started putting her makeup & hair supplies out, she admitted that she thought I only had one bridesmaid. She picked up her phone & starting calling her «assistants.» One assistant finally called her back around 8:45 a.m. That assistant originally said she was on her way but later changed her mind 10 minutes later and said she wouldn’t be able to make it. In the end, Anne got us finished at 11:45 a.m. despite it being promised and discussed numerous times that I needed to be ready and out the door by 10:30 a.m.
Overall, Anne was an hour late, unprofessional, did not show up with her two assistants, and was unapologetic. She didn’t care that she caused me to be late which caused other parts of my wedding to be late. I liked the final look of my hair and makeup, and that accounts for the 2 stars I am giving. However, I feel that she could have done an even better job on everybody if she had just shown up on time and with her 2 assistants as was agreed upon and paid for. If you want to spare yourself this stress, do NOT hire Anne. Her lack of punctuality, communication, and organization can create havoc on a wedding day.

Just had to review & put this out there… Anne talked with me in length over the phone & committed to the date & time I requested. I did just what she asked & emailed her photos ect… Never replied or heard from her again.
This is really so unprofessional and Rude Rude Rude. No excuse, regardless of her reason. Kept me guessing with no response.

Anne is amazing!!! My wedding hair and makeup was even better than I hoped for! It looked amazing in person and in pictures. She really is the BEST at what she does.
Anne went above and beyond. Get this: one of the girl’s bridesmaid dresses broke at the zipper, on my wedding day when she tried to put it on. We were screwed… until Anne said she brought a sewing kit with her! She literally sewed and fixed the bridesmaid’s dress just in time! She came prepared for stuff that wasn’t even her job to be prepared for. She also helped me in to my dress and shoes. Anne is professional, fun, and an all around amazing person. I love her!

Anne made me look very beautiful on my wedding day. I would strongly recommend her to anybody that I know. She did an amazing job. A lot of compliments that I get from my friends, aunts, uncles, and family. She turned me into a WOW bride that I expected! Not only that, she went all out to help me organized my wedding. She was my coordinator. She made me feel so special and takes great care of me! Thank you so much Anne! I greatly appreciate all thAt you did. Big thank you to you!!!

What can I say? I was nothing. I was simply this plain person who was coaxed into joining a pageant. I did it and figure, whatevs, I’ll have fun at this pageant. «You won’t win» stated the producer of the pageant, «But you will have fun!» Anyway, I DID win! And I looked FABULOUS! And do you know why?! Because Anne did my hair and make up. If she can get plain me to win a pageant, imagine what she can do to you?! She turned me into Cinderella, in under 1 hour!!! Anne is simply the BEST MAKE UP ARTIST I have EVER had! Trust me when I say she will be right next to me at every appearance! I shall not leave the house without this one!!!

I was attending a friend’s wedding and decided to get my make-​up done professionally. Where else to start looking for a MUA other than Unilocal right? So after looking at MUA’s on Unilocal I came across Anne. I knew instantly that her style of make-​up application was exactly what I was looking for and decided to send her an email to inquire about pricing and what not. She was quick to respond and answered my questions accordingly. Since there was only one other review I took my chances and booked her for Nov 5^th.
The day of she arrived about 9 am and quickly started to asses my face and ask me to show her what I was wearing and what kind of look I was going for. Immediately she started working her magic on my face. Throughout the entire process she would stop and have me look into a mirror to see if I liked how it was looking and of course I did! I’ve gotten my makeup done professionally many times and you’d be surprised how many MUA don’t stop and ask if you like the look, they wait till the end, but not Anne. Once my face was done she did my hair as well, it took her like 10 minutes to do this fabulous, simple updo that looked just perfect for someone attending a wedding, but not being part of the wedding party.
The only con to this otherwise awesome MUA is that it’s a bit pricey. I got quoted $ 65 for makeup but was unaware of the extra travel fee until the day before she was supposed to do my makeup. After bringing this to her attention she immediately waived the fee and did my hair for free to correct the misunderstanding. Honestly, this made a difference between me canceling the appointment and her losing a client. It was really professional of her since anyone else would’ve said «oh well, you have to pay it». You just don’t really get good customer service these days and I appreciated that. As a result I gave her a good tip.
Overall, I would highly recommend her. She did such an awesome job that I had people complimenting me all night about my makeup. She uses nothing but quality makeup: MAC, makeup forever, Lorac, smashbox etc. From this point forward she will be the MUA I will hire for those occasions that I want to look extra fabulous for. I have a wedding coming up in a few months and I will make sure to book her for that as well.

A phenomenal make-​up artist! She did an amazing job on my hair and makeup. She is one of the few make-​up artists who truly understands make-​up and knows what looks amazing in pictures.
