Poor communication. These guys are rip off artists. My contractor went in for what we thought was a minor antiquing of some steel rods. They led him to believe it was no big deal then charged $ 250 when it was time to pick up.

This quaint family owned business is a neighborhood gem! Don’t let the term ‘antique’ stop you from shopping here. I came in for a ‘new’ claw foot tub, but Brian and Ken were so helpful and knowledgable, I ordered everything for my two bath remodels here! They have some beautiful displays of the latest Brizo products which I also purchased along with all the ‘modern’ fixtures I wanted. They can order anything you want! I was so happy to give my business to a local independent with great customer service! Thanks guys!

Mac the Antique Plumber has proved that customer service is not a forgotten art! Brian assisted me during both of my visits and really went out of his way to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and patient. If you are looking for knowledge staff, gorgeous vintage/antique or wonderful new/modern pieces, and great customer service this is the place to go! I look forward to a long, wonderful working relationship with the team at Mac the Antique Plumber.

the worst customer service! I placed an order nearly 2 weeks ago and after multiple inquiries have never been told the truth about when it would ship… they just couldn’t be bothered. so I finally asked for a refund and am still waiting for these losers to give me my money back. also I’ve since discovered you can find the exact same stock I ordered elsewhere minus Mac’s shipping fee.

Project Pink Bathroom. I promised my wife I’d paint our half bathroom pink. Our home is a 1950’s home with lots of retro charm. The half bathroom was just white and old looking. After painting the bathroom, the toilet tank lid REALLY stood out. It was some cheap plastic replacement lid. The problem was we had a house party and somebody had a little too much fun and somehow broke our toilet tank lid. Helluva party! Finding the right tank lid was hard because our toilet is Old School… antique if you will. After being disappointed at Red’s Plumbing, I drove over to Mac The Antique Plumber. It’s on Elvas Ave… Elvis died on the toilet so there’s some irony there. Lots of cool vintage sinks and accessories. Toilets and tubs I’ve never seen before. I was just after a particular lid that would match the Standard. Mac went in the back room and came out with the exact one I was looking for. It cost a lot. Never thought I would pay $ 80 for a toilet tank lid… but it made the retro pink bathroom look perfect. Project Pink Bathroom… cue the Theme from The Pink Panther.

This place is a perfect example of how great customer should be. They pleasantly greet you and are willing to assist with any questions. They carry hard to find items and all kinds of other cool stuff. The prices may be a little more expensive, but they have the items that cannot be found elsewhere. This is definitely a place worth checking out.

A specialty store like no other in Sacramento, Mac the Antique Plumber offers a small but beautiful selection of antique and new(reproduction) bathroom fixtures, lighting, drinking fountains, and door hardware. Mac has clawfoot tubs, pedestal sinks, and vintage toilets with great brand names like«Expulso.» If you need some vintage art deco cabinet knobs or a Craftsman-style ceiling light, Mac can help you, too. I’ve been curious about the availability of enamel laundry sinks(I don’t want a plastic one in my laundry room) and Mac has several. My excitement shifted to disappointment when I read the price tags, though. The items in Mac’s store are either beautifully-restored antiques or high-quality reproductions, and they are far from cheap. Service is courteous and efficient and the small showroom is immaculate. If you’re serious about restoring your midtown Victorian or bungalow — and you can afford the best — you’ll find what you need at Mac’s.
