Lichine’s Liquor & Deli

Lichine’s is the neighborhood lotto spot! They offer a large variety of non-​alcoholic single serve drinks, wines and hard liquor. The deli offers 22 different sandwiches and homemade potato and pasta salads. Customer service is excellent and they even try to learn your name even on your first visit.

So how do you know you’re in the right place to purchase lottery tickets? I don’t know the answer to that because I haven’t won before, but I do know the line was out the door upon arrival at this liquor store. They even got a camera crew setting up. My reaction was like Whoaaaa! But the line moves swiftly. There’s a winning streak that happens at this place, so I’m hoping to catch good vibes and be a lucky winner tonight. The hype is real because an older woman in front of me ended up asking me, what are WE playing again? Sometimes you just end up in line not knowing what you’re playing. Lady if you win, remember I was the one who told you powerball so a piece of that bread would be nice. ;)

Yep. This is the place where many lotto players usually play here if someone wins the big jackpot. This Land Park place called, «Lichine’s Liquor & Deli» delivers the finest collections of wine, beer, champagnes, cigars, homemade deli, and many more especially their finest lottery spot too where this place has several past lotto winners available since 2000! The atmosphere is quite calmful here depending the busiest environment. The concept is much old school, yet it has some fine decors on it which it surrounds the whole room like the wine cellar and the deli station on the left.
The employees are doing a good job for making the customers like me a fine service. No cons at all. Very friendly and approachable.
Every items in Lichine’s are very clean and tidy here, so I can pick up any items that I want to buy. I haven’t tried their deli while coming inside, but I’ll be back in the next future visits to try it out.
The lottery process is not that bad! The line progress is quite much faster than before because of the quicker service! I just got my lottery ticket in paid which it takes about less than 10 minutes estimate while in line. Fantastic effort!
There’s plenty of parking spaces available for this largest lot, so you can park anywhere you want near or far.
In the end, Lichine’s Liquor & Deli is the finest liquor shop that I’ve ever visited thanks to the popular destination site for lottery players alike. A well, worthy visit right in the Land Park & Pocket/​Greenhaven neighborhood! My rating: 4 solid stars.

Best place in Sacramento to buy lottery tickets. Lichine’s has a huge liquor selection and variety to suit any needs. The deli also has some of the best sandwiches and soups (only in winter) that are always homemade and fresh. My personal favorite is the egg salad sandwich and if you order it they make the egg salad right in front of you, not made before time. Lichine’s also has ice cream, chips, and candy to choose from if you like to eat that stuff with a sandwich. When the lottery is big, make sure to come in early because the place usually has a line out the door to get tickets because they’ve had 3 winner since the store opened.

This is the place to go for lotto tickets! Always a huge line when the jackpot is ginormous. The staff is always friendly and merchandise up-​to-​date. I buy the sandwiches as they are tasty, snacks and liquor/​beer/​wine to go.

My go to place for lottery ticket purchases. Even with lines they are quick and efficient and always friendly. They do have a good liquor selection and make really good sandwiches deli style.

This liquor and beverage store is very clean employed with professional nice employees… AM PM is my #1 spot and this is my 2^nd choice to purchase lottery/​scratcher tics.

The lucky spot to buy lottery tickets in Sacramento! Come early for big draws, the line will be out the door! They have two machines which makes the line go fast.

Seriously. The best liquor store in Sacramento. They have a HUGE alcohol selection and their chicken salad sandwich from their deli is amazing. I make sure to stop by every time I’m in town. The staff is also super friendly and attentive. Go Lucky Lichines!

Aside from being a liquor store and the Lotto winner mecca. There’s also a deli. There’s a small but tall counter you can order sandwiches from and you’ll find a sandwich list on top of the counter. Potato Salad is available in different sizes and I highly recommend it. I haven’t had their soup. It’s only available during Winter months.
You pay at the register across the room and you can have your food there. They have tables. or take it with you.

My go-​to place if that lotto is getting up there! I also stop by here when my friends need to me to pick up a bottle. I always see the same two guys working, whom which are very friendly every time. This is supposedly the lucky place in Sacramento to buy lotto tickets as they advertise I think 3 big winners at their counter as well as various other winners (not as big, but big enough for me!). I’ve also heard good things about their sandwiches, since it is a Deli after all. They have a good variety of wines, champagne and liquor. Beers and pretty much the standard you’d see at most liquor stores with the exception of a few not so usual ones. Pricing is always comparable and decent. I’ve never won anything here, but I keep coming back because niceness and quality service go a long way.

Best place to buy your lotto tickets in Sacramento… They also make great sandwiches here to. I suggest you make your way over there and try one.

Can you say awesome sandwiches?! In addition to a huuuuge liquor selection. And although I visit Sacramento only once a year, I always come here for lotto tickets and scratchers and boy does this store have some luck.

On the surface, Lichine’s may seem like any other liquor and deli. However, once you walk in, you know you’re somewhere special…
Haha, seriously though, this place obviously is a lucky spot. The walls are plastered with past lotto ticket winners. When the jackpot goes over $ 100 million, you better expect to wait in line if you’re going to try to buy a ticket.
I once got a lotto ticket from there. I remember watching the numbers be drawn on live TV. I got the first 4 numbers, then missed the 5^th and the mega number. I was freaking out. 4 out of 6 isn’t bad, I seriously thought I was going to be rich! I drove right up to Lichine’s and the guy was less than impressed as he cashed me out and handed me like 80 bucks. 80 bucks?! Seriously?! Where’s my $ 500,000?!? Oh well, $ 80 return on a $ 1 investment isn’t anything to complain about.
The deli section of the store: The deli isn’t huge, but what the lack in size, they make up in deliciousness! Each of the sandwiches I’ve ever had there has been a 10 (out of 10). Turkey, tuna, salami, pastrami, it doesn’t matter, it’s all the
. They also have really good side salads, no not green salads, I’m talking pasta salad, potato salad, delicious salad, ect. The only bummer is that they have different deli hours, so they’re not open as much as the liquor section is open.
The liquor section of the store: They have a pretty nice selection of beer, tons of domestics, some imports. For a liquor store, their wine selection is huge. I can’t speak on the variety or the quality, but there’s a lot of it. They do have a display case of high end bottles of wine, champaign and other nice liquor. Of course they also sell cigarettes, chew, and they have a decently sized cigar humidor with a good variety of stoogies.
They sell really good beef jerky. It’s right near the cash register and it’s very hard to resist. My best advice: give in and try it out.
Also, I have no idea how to actually pronounce the name of this liquor store… is it lee-​chin-​knees? Lee-​cheens? Who knows, everyone in the neighborhood calls it something different.

Word on the streets, this place is nicknamed Lucky Lichine’s! Haha, okay maybe not on the streets but online? Apparently, Lichine’s is ranked 10^th in California in gross lottery ticket sales. They’ve sold lottery tickets to two huge winners; one for $ 5M and another for $ 9M. Maybe I should start «investing» in lottery tickets. hmm…haha jk.
Anyway, OFF TOPIC! I’m here to review the little sandwich area they’ve got going on inside Lichine’s! Stopped by for a quick lunch during by break and was feening for a good old fashioned sandwich. Lichine’s provides 22 different sandwiches varying from roast beef to pastrami to turkey! AND they provide excellent and prompt service! I think the reason I decided to write this review was because they were so nice! I got the #1 combo: Ham, Mortadella, Cotto Salami & Cheese Sandwich for $ 4.75. Did I really just say $ 4.75? That’s cheaper than a Subway sandwich! HENCE, my 4 star rating ;)
There’s nothing extraordinary about the sandwiches but I do like that they provide fresh ingredients and a variety of choices. In addition to sandwiches, they have mac salad, potato salad, and homemade soup. Homemade is always good in my book!
No seriously, I think I’m going to try my luck and grab a lottery ticket tomorrow *crosses fingers*

HUG liquor store, very clean, Reasonable prices. Its off florin behind Chevron gas station. Tehy need more IMPORTED BEERS. they need more sales.

It’s a liquor store. What could be so great about it? Well, it’s got pretty reasonable prices, a huge selection of alcohol (including wine and champagne you could actually take to your parents’ friends dinner party and feel fine about), and the guys who works there are always helpful, funny, and cheerful.
Their gimmick is posting «checks» and newspaper articles about the people who have won the lottery there. I don’t know how commons it is for more than a dozen people to have won 7-​figure jackpots at one store, (it may be that it’s common, but no one else advertises it) but they seem to have a lot of winners… as well as a bunch of 6, 5, and 4 figure winners. (I’d be really excited to just be a 4-​figure winner!). The last couple of people who’ve won large jackpots in Sacramento have purchased their tickets at Lichine’s. What can I say? I’m kind of superstitious.
They have a great selection of scratch-​off tickets too, and a great location if you live in South Sac. In one parking lot, youy can drop off your drycleaning at Paul’s Cleaners (still the best), pick up scratch-​off lottery tickets at Lichine’s and take then with you to The Walnut (Spitzer’s Walnut Room) where you can drink, try to get lucky, and order Chinese food brought over from Holiday Villa next door.
