Jill D Whitney, DDS

I have been a patient of Dr. Whitney for many years and am very pleased with the quality of dental care received. The office is easy to find and get to from my job in downtown Sacramento, and plenty of parking is available. Like another reviewer wrote, Dr. Whitney has a calm, sweet demeanor, and I would add, such a cute voice too, and I think she would be an awesome dentist for little kids and people of all ages who dread going to a dentist. She is very knowledgeable and professional, and has a good sense of humor. Debbie, the office manager, is great, and always on top of things, and makes sure I get a reminder of my twice-​a-​year cleaning appointments a day or two ahead. The dental hygienists have all been thorough and gentle in their cleanings, and they make sure to point out to Dr. Whitney anything that needs a more detailed examination. One last thing – my parents always took my brother, sister, and me to a dentist twice a year throughout our childhood and teen years, and paid for our orthodontic care as well. I am so grateful they did. This professional preventative and corrective care, in addition to my brushing and flossing, has paid off, and I have enjoyed healthy, attractive teeth as an adult, with a minimum of problems. So don’t put off dental care because of fear or just being «cheap,» call Dr. Whitney’s office and make an appointment.

Having been through a lot of dental trauma as a kid, that as an adult — with dental insurance, I avoided the dentist like the plague. I found Dr. Whitney when looking for a dentist for my toddler. I didn’t have much faith in her being able to examine him as I’m sure that I’d unwittingly transferred some of my fear to him and he was a bit anxious walking in. But Dr. W was so awesome with my son that he not only had a full exam, he also had a great 1^st dental experience. She eventually talked me into the chair and I’m not ashamed to say that I was terrified. Dr. Whitney has a wonderful calming demeanor that is great for scared «kids» of all ages. She’s has a gentle touch but at the same time is very confident and thorough. Don’t let the calm, sweet demeanor fool you, Dr. Whitney know’s her stuff. I’ve referred my entire family to her — she now has everyone from my 82 yr old dad to my 9 yr old niece — and I now go to the dentist 2x a year!

Dr. Whitney and everyone at her office are great! My daughter and I have been coming here for the past 5 years. They always take such good care of us. They are professional, nice and fun!
