Food is not as good as their restaurants outside of the airport. Very dry sandwich & service is questionable??? It takes too long to get your order even though food is cooked. They can’t seem to get it together. Very unorganized! One cash register open! Even that is a long process!

This has always been the worst Jack’s Urban Eats restaurant in town with employees who don’t care about customer service. But I like the chain and so I would still eat there in the airport. Today in trying to have dinner there I was informed that they no longer do make your own salads. Now it is officially not worth eating here at all. Makes no sense.

Don’t eat here The employees are more interested in having a party then editing on customers In addition my 10:00 salad was just greens as the couldn’t focus on what was yo go in it In addition they were out of everything they seriously need a manager to oversee the z Tovs going on

Guess I should’ve read the reviews before I decided to eat here. What a bust. Paid $ 16 for a red bull and a one note salad that went in the trash in exchange for a delicious $ 8.99BLT from Burgers and Brew. The gal at the counter acted as if someone peed in her cheerios this morning. Her stern face didn’t change during the whole order. I ordered the Chinese chicken salad made of «mixed greens» which consisted of romaine and what looked like bagged icerberg. I guess it is technically mixed greens but certainly not the norm. I tried the plum vinaigrette before I ordered it. It wasn’t fantastic but it wasn’t badand most other places were only serving breakfast at 10 am. The additions were cucumber, red bell peppers, jicima, mandarin oranges, and crispy rice noodles. I asked if I could add red onion. She said yes… but there was an extra charge… for onion?! I watched her add the salad accompaniments. Three mandarin oranges, 4 half slices of cucumber and a whole handful of jicima, onion and bell peppers went in topped by about a tablespoon of dressing on a monstrous salad. I had to ask for extra dressing which was given to me by and older woman who was nice but awkward. Paying was confusing. Although the ordering process was discombobulated as well. The cashier was busy sweeping the back. She said she’d be with me in a minute. It took several minutes and 2 more people lined up behind me before she came back to the register. The whole process took almost 15 min… for a salad. It lacked flavor immensely. The crunch from the jicama was a nice addition but it needed more mandarin oranges, more cucumber, maybe some cilantro or something and definitely a different dressing. Real mixed greens would’ve made a big difference too. I don’t know how to exlplain the serious flavor deficiency but it was bland and boring at best. Ever eaten plain iceberg lettuce by itself? About sums it up.

Honestly this place should be seen by a health inspector… found a hair in my Santa Fe chicken salad. Horrible management too… manager didn’t say anything but refunded my money. She acted like she did this all the time. Nasty…

Jacks Urban Eats at Sacramento airport is very slow and unorganized. Stood for almost 10 minutes before anyone offered to take my order. Three people were just standing around. The lady making the salads asked what I wanted amd I told her. She never did make my salad. My husband wanted a sandwich but no one offered to take his order. To make matters worse the young man behind the counter had his pants sagging, could almost see his behind. This is very unappeling around food and mot very sanitary. My husband and I decided this was not the place for us. My husband said he would have felt bettet if the guy had his pajamas on!

Nope. Never making this mistake again at SMF. Urban fries are pathetic and the Santa Fe chicken salad is a joke. Tastes nothing like the restaurant outside of the airport, flavor is close to nothing, and romaine lettuce tastes frozen. Not to mention staff casually uses personal phone while working below the register and the line is confusing.

How do I begin? First off, their system of ordering is very confusing. People ordering salads stand on one side while people ordering sandwiches stand in a separate line. The confusing part is after you order, everyone lines up in the same line and the staff calls out everyone once orders are made. My wife and I ordered a steak sandwich and it was given to another customer! This happened after one of the cashiers called out someone with the same name as my wife, but the customer was not listening to the cashier as he repeated the order to the customer. In this case, it wasn’t completely the cashier’s fault but was an inconvenience. Another cashier saw the mistake a dead willing to have a new sandwich made, which was nice. We feel that the customer service was very subpar. They also did not have any ketchup in their dispenser; customers had to wait while the staff«went to the back to get more.» All in all, the ordering system needs to be fixed and some of the staff need more customer service training. The only saving grace that this location has is its good food.

I’m a huge fan of Jack’s at the midtown, Loehmans and Elk Grove locations. So I was really looking forward to dinner at the airport. But that quickly went away when I got my salad. The most watery salad I’ve ever had. They are quite busy here, but I don’t think the owners of this local chain would find that as an excuse. I’ve had a sandwich here before, but I likely will again, but never a salad unless I know they make some changes.

FOOD — Chinese Chicken Salad: mixed lettuce with grilled chicken, rice noodles, Mandarin oranges, red bell peppers, carrots, jicama, and cucumber with plum vinaigrette. Large tasty salad. The chicken was tender and had good flavor. Next time, I’ll ask for the dressing on the side. They added way too much dressing. 3.5÷5 SERVICE Fast and fair. 3.5÷5 FINALTHOUGHTS Decent salad but it’s overpriced. Check your fountain drinks. There was a bug in my water. I usually don’t check but I forgot to grab a straw and I didn’t want to leave my stuff attended to grab one.

Inconsistent. Overpriced. But one of few«healthier» options at Terminal B. If there’s a line here and/or you’re in a rush, just bypass this place completely. That’s when things really fall apart. Even though there’s a separate line for salads and sandwiches, they’re thoroughly disorganized. How, I don’t know. But I’ve seen it take 20+ minutes for people to get a salad, which is not a pretty sight when people are traveling. On the other hand, when this place doesn’t have other people in line, it can be decent as it’s usually pretty hard to screw up a salad and the ingredients usually seem fresh. The asian chicken salad and steak salad were pretty good, the buffalo chicken wasn’t my favorite. I would recommend getting dressing on the side as they really pour it on. I am in and out of SMF a lot for work. Honestly, I haven’t tried the other eateries(burgers, mexican, pizza/pasta) here but they all sound and look heavier than I want after a long day of meetings and before a flight. So this is usually my default.

This was not my first time at Jack’s urban eats, but it was my first time at this specific location. I understand the airport is a busy place but it doesn’t give an excuse to be so unorganized. My sandwich came out way before I even had a chance to pay, that my food was cold. They have too many people cooking and only one person at the register. My urban fries were actually still good but the sandwich for a bit soggy. I kind of wish that I went with my first choice burgers and brew next door to it.

Blah!!! Bland and boring. Had the BBQ Tri-Tip sandwich… No flavor, dry, burnt bread. Did I say dry…$ 24 for the sandwich, frozen bag French fries, and a warm beer bottle. Sent the beer back… bill went down to $ 14? That means that 1 cheap Michelob Ultra was $ 10! Wow! Never again. Eat before you come to airport.

Jack’s is one of my fave local Sacramento go to places, I frequent several of their locations, and have been going there since 2007. That said, I know my order by the back of my hand, and never have any issues. Everyone knows at jacks, you place your order, build your sandwich or salad with the server and move on down the assembly line and pay at the register at the end. This place makes u pay before you order, even though the silverware is there, I found myself having to fight thru a line after I hand my food in order to get utensils, since everything is backwards. So, FYI, get utensils prior to ordering… While building my salad, she was only using one SMALL scoop of each topping, and I spoke up saying uhh that’s not even remotely close to a normal portion. She was like, it’s not? Idk idk how they do things here, and I then asked her if she’s been to any jacks urban eats within sac? Which I’d think would be a yes! But NO, this girl had never been to a store front location! This review is getting 2 stars strictly BC she did give me more when I brought up what«normal» was. She asked me of the other locations use different scoops, and I said I believe they use tongs, which to me makes more sense. They are charging more BC it’s the airport, and wanna skimp on quantity, so stupid. I just think it’s crazy that they hired ppl who have zero idea about what jacks is! Jack’s employees are known for their happy go lucky demeanor, friendliness, and being on top of it, BC it’s always madness and crazy BC everything is always amazing! Food quality was normal to what we were used to with other locations, but I’d skip this the next time we fly

Airport food :( Forced to have lunch here while leaving Sacramento. I ordered a turkey club, which was moderately overpriced at $ 11. Airports, like hotel food, is going to be marked up so I understand that’s just the unfortunate reality. However the sandwich so inadequately executed. It’s as if they grabbed the closest bread they could find, and assembled a sandwich. There was hardly any thought put into this sandwich. Like most airport food I would not recommend unless you have to, and even then I’d probably recommend getting other overpriced food at the airport that is hopefully a little bit better.

Yea, service is slow and food is pricey, but I enjoyed my steak salad. There are 2 lines, one to order salads, and one for sandwiches. The guy at the salad line was in the middle of preparing a salad when I walked over and didn’t acknowledge me for a few minutes. Then he went to the back and took his sweet time to come back. The $ 11 steak salad was pretty good except for the fact that it was a bit too drenched in the balsamic vinaigrette dressing. I substituted blue cheese for corn and got lots of it as well as dried cranberries. Tri tip was tender and pinkish, cooked a bit more than medium well. My Naked bottle of mango smoothie was $ 5. Typical prices for airport but I liked the fact that you can see the meat freshly cooked. They had a whole turkey on the counter as opposed to slices in small containers. I’d go back if I am not in a rush.

$ 14 for a chicken sandwich. Enough said. There was absolutely nothing special about the sandwich. It was a restaurant at the airport that takes advantage of people that are hungry and waiting to board their plane and peanuts served on the flight won’t suffice. The bread wasn’t oven fresh. No special sauce. Just 100%, Pure, Overpriced food. The other problem was the time it took to make this«gourmet» sandwich. From the moment I ordered it to the second I had it in my hand, it took about 10 minutes. Did they go into the back to kill the chicken? Probably not. Who knows why they took so long. I was hangry and wanted my food and wasn’t clear what take them 10 minutes to make a sandwich my 9 year can make for me. Next time I come here… wait, there won’t be a next time.

Running late for my Southwest flight out of Cowtown, I decided to grab something quick at the Sacramento«International» Airport… International my ass. Southwest is located in Terminal B, which is really lacking in food. I thought about getting food at Burgers and Brews, but all the beer I tried to get was tapped out and the food looked pretty bad. More like Boogers and Boos. So, I tried to get an adobe salad at Dos Coyotes, but the girl at the cashier said that they do not serve salads(despite the salad being on their menu) and told me to «go to Jack’s next door.» So, I did as she said and ended up at at Jack’s Urban Eats. In hindsight I should have just gotten a bistro box from Starbucks. Therefore, I stood in line at the salad station, which was super slow because only one employee was working the station while the other employees just loitered around the sandwich station and acted busy. The salad line moved along really slowly and the salad girl was visibly pissed off. While it was understandable that she was overwhelmed because the salad bar is the most popular thing at Jack’s Urban Eats, she should not have shown her anger. I mean, tossing bowls and utensils around made everyone uncomfortable. Several customers even asked her if it was even okay to order a salad because she looked so unhappy. As for the salad bar itself, I ordered a half salad with tri-tip. The way the salad was prepared, I observed cross-contamination of the salad bar items(I even found a grape in my salad when it was not even one of the«choose your six» items that I requested because it must have fallen into the wrong tub). Moreover, when the salad girl would drop things, she placed them back into the plastic tubs. The worst part had to be the meat carving station where both turkey and medium to medium rare tri-tip was being chopped up on the same cutting board. If I did not eat meat, I would have been disgusted. To be fair, the only employee that was not throwing bowls and utensils around and was not visibly perturbed was the cashier, Davontae(+1 Star)… And the salad tasted fine. Regardless, with all the service issues and unsanitary practices, Jack’s Urban Eats is anything but urban. More like Jack’s Slum Eats… Let’s just say, this is not the way to run a restaurant. They simply do not know«Jack’!
